Excellent open air restaurant for a fresh seafood meal! My SO and I had dinner here our second night on the island. We really enjoyed the open air yet interior feeling seating arrangement and they seemed to take cleanliness & sanitation seriously, which we appreciated. Per our kind server's suggestion, I had the 1/2 lb Snapper, grilled, served with lots of sides- all of which were delicious! (Standard sides included fries, plantains, rice, and these little fried cornmeal "funchi".) My SO had a 1/2 lb of a fried shrimp, also served with all the sides. We enjoyed it all and hope to make it back again during our trip and I will try the various fish fillet options! All the staff was incredibly friendly but specifically Jean David was very nice in taking multiple pictures for us before we left. Thanks again to him! Well for starters it says this place is located in Queens, NY but I promise I was there while in Aruba ‍ It's good. It's. It the best seafood you've ever had in your life by no means but I do think it's one of the better seafood restaurants in the island. I ordered the whole fried snapper 1/2 lb. It was a nice size. If I would have ordered the one pounder I wound have had leftovers but I didn't want to reheat the fried fish. The fish isn't fried with salt and pepper or any kind of seasoning. So you need the creole sauce that's comes with your dinner. I chose to garnish and season my fish with the pickled onions which was their house-made condiment. My partner ordered the 1/2 pound grouper with shrimp cooked blackened style. It was DELICIOUS!! I wish I would have gotten that instead so I highly recommend going the pan fried blackened route. I tried Conch Fritters for the first time. Conch Fritters are small balls of conch snail meat fried in batter with numerous seasonings. They were ... interesting. This is where it's at. We knew we were in the right place when the suits started filtering in on their lunch breaks. Locals are usually a good sign and this held true here. The paella was on point and plenty for 2. The calamari melted in my mouth, the shrimp were plump and juicy, all the flavors carried through. The conch fritters were awesome with fantastic sauce on the side. On the grilled shrimp/fish also tasted at the table, both were perfectly cooked and seasoned correctly. Served with both creole and garlic sauce. The fries and fish cakes were ok, tho not mind-blowing. The slaw was 50/50 - half of us like it the other half didn't. They really weren't necessary as there was so much of the good stuff that they were hardly touched. Do yourself a favor, forget that place on the tourist sites with the pretty view and get the kind of food you deserve, then go look at the fishing boats AFTER you eat. read more

For the type of restaurant it is, it's ok. I had 1/2 pound of fried shrimp. It took a while to get it but they were quite busy. It's literally on the side of a parking lot. There are a few seats inside but most are out even though they are all covered. Good thing because it did rain while we were eating. It's close to where we stay. It's usually fairly fast. We're in Aruba for several weeks. And the food is ok. For those reasons we'll go back. If this was a short stay I'd avoid Red Fish and try more popular places. read more

This place is not as good as the reviews on TripAdvisor made it seem. We each ordered a drink, and the menu was vast, but not overwhelming. The service was so sweet, friendly, and even gave us some of their favorite recommendations on the island. It's a super casual place in a strip mall. Really inconspicuous, but there were a lot of locals which we thought was a good sign. We ordered the Conch fritters to start. They were simply OK. Only 4 for the appetizer, which was not sufficient to be appetized. We then ordered the paella - this would have been good except we found so many bones in the fish as we were eating. The fish clearly had not been cleaned well and the paella was pretty wet and not as flavorful as it could've been. Overrated. We had the fried fish (snapper) and the fried shrimp and the grilled shrimp and it tasted like nothing. It was verrrrry bland. It didn't taste old but it didn't taste super fresh either...it tasted like nothing. I understand Aruba is a Dutch country and it sure does taste like it!! Don't come here thinking you're going to get some seasoned Caribbean food, they had some dipping sauce but it wasn't great either. The customer service was ok (they first brought us someone else's food and it wasn't busy at all - they only had three tables occupied). Lunch/dinner like most places will run you $20-25. The drinks were weak, but they had free wifi and its and open air restaurant if you're concerned about indoor dinning during the covid era. Bottom line, it's not worth a cab ride from Noord, nor is it worth a walk from the nearest bus stop. Pick another place. I heard the paella is their best dish so maybe try that... This place is not that good, or not as good as the reviews on trip advisor make it seem. It's definitely for tourists and a bit overpriced for my taste. I ordered the grilled mahi mahi. Fish did not taste extremely fresh, and it was a mediocre dish. My friend ordered the same dish and found a very long hair in his cole slaw. The one thing here that is VERY GOOD, however, is the CALAMARI. It is one of the best calamaris I've ever had. There are also vegetarian options if you ask. They have a vegetarian pasta that is not bad. The juices are not freshly squeezed and tastes like it is from concentrate. The lemonade is overly sour, but can be fixed if you put some water in it. The waiter was not to our liking and very overbearing. He as intrusive and made odd remarks that left us feeling a bit uncomfortable. He was also crazy sweaty which, although understandable because we were outside dining, was a bit of a turn off because he was carrying our food and probably sweat onto our dishes. This place is extremely average, definitely not the best and not even okay. Would recommend another place. read more

My husband and I had dinner here our first night in Aruba. This place is in a strip plaza, very casual. Everyone was super polite and professional, taking the time to answer any questions we had and explain the menu. I had the whole fried snapper which was delicious. Fresh, seasoned well, and fried to perfection. They gave me two because they were smaller (pan sized). My husband had the shrimp and conch in creole sauce. So fresh, tender, and flavorful. Prices were average for Aruba, overall we really enjoyed ourselves. May go again before our vacation is over... Cons: the conch fritters didn't seem fresh and had little if any conch in them. I got the swordfish and it was pretty dry and I thought it was salmon by accident. I wasn't very happy with the flavor and texture. I came back and they fixed my order and I got the shrimp Alfredo pasta....something you can't go wrong with....the only reason I'm not giving this 5 starts was that the lady at the bar was pretty rude to me both times I came. While in Aruba we stopped by this restaurant for dinner based on several recommendations. The restaurant itself is very appealing, great seating, good parking and super friendly staff! The food was ok, not awesome. Except the fried shrimp! Best fried shrimp I've ever had. Actually best shrimp period! We had the fried calamari, onion rings, fried red snapper and fried shrimp. The server did warn us that the fish is not deboned and we were fine with that. The shrimp and the onion rings were the highlight of our meal. Filling. Enough food for 3 adults without leftovers. The food is OK. It's close to our timeshare so we tend to go here once or twice during our stay. I've tried a lot of things on the menu and I wouldn't go overboard about any of them. I prefer my fish to be filleted and most of what they serve has bones. The fried shrimp is fairly good. It's probably my favorite thing on the menu. Other than mediocre food, my biggest complaint is probably the service. It usually takes a long time to get your food, certainly much longer than you would expect. Another big problem for the restaurant is seating. If you can get in the shelter of the building you're OK, but if you sit on the parking lot side you could end up in a wind tunnel. read more

The place is located in Aruba just about a 15 minute drive from cruise ship port ( we drove ourselves probably quicker in a cab) the local bus runs right by the restaurant. Everything was delicious even the onion rings as a starter. I had the conch pan fried with fries and coleslaw. What ever you choose off the menu you can not go wrong! Stop it!!! I couldn't believe how amazing the red snapper was . We asked our transportation person what they recommended for something for the locals to eat some good fish and they recommended red fish. I myself was a little hesitant because sometimes drivers get a cut from business when they take client their way, so I wasn't quite sure. This place is so cool!!!! It started pouring and there are no windows or doors at this place but they have it setup so that the roof covers you from getting wet, so your basically eating outside, super unique. Snapper still had the bones in it so be careful , I recommend deboning it then eating, I drenched my fish in lemon and added a touch of salt and was good to go. I hadn't eaten much that day and so was stuffed with 1/2 lb of the fish, if that would not have been the case I would have probably eaten 2 lbs worth of this delicious snapper!!! read more

Our special cocktails quickly arrived were tasty. Also, we ordered fried shrimp, fish and shrimp fried rice. The food was good especially the fried rice, but the fish not so much. Con: we never received our kid's order of chicken fingers. When we finally hailed down our waiter he forgot again. By the time we finished eating, her kid's plate arrived, but it was fish and not chicken strips. He promptly removed it from our bill. Very nice outdoor setting not in the center of town which is great. You get some local flavor. We have the conch fritters and the shrimp appetizer with two mango Pina coladas and they were absolutely terrific. Also really nice is the waitress call for a cab to pick us up and suggested that we stay in the restaurant and she'll let us know when the cab service is here to take us back to the port. read more

I saw a lonely sign on the road pointing to this place. Something said come back for dinner. Best meal we've had all week in Aruba (not Queens). So here I go. This is a review that I am writing with mixed emotions. The food was good. It was fresh and flavorful. But where it goes downhill We came in for lunch and was provided one menu. The food was a bit pricey for lunch but we were on vacation so what the heck splurge a bit right. No. As we see other guests being seated they were given a lunch and a regular menu. The food that I ordered for $30.00 was available for $17.25 including an appetizer. So I asked why we were not given a lunch menu. His lame response was that you have to ask for it. No other guest asked for one and was given both when seated. Was it because we are tourist????! HHmmm. Maybe. Locals told us to come here. I am so glad we did. This was the only local restaurant that grilled the whole fish for us. I got red snapper and my husband had the grouper. For a fresh ethnic lunch this is a pretty solid place. The road in wasn't paved and was a little hard to find but don't let that deter you. Great shaded areas with fans. Service was average as many other places on island have over the top amazing service.
