    F3. Fried Catfish Basket

Ordered the fried catfish basket. The fried catfish was uncooked and had a terrible odor. This is very disappointing.

Daily Specials - Tuesday $27 1/2 lb Shrimp - Imported (No Head) 1/2 lb Crawfish - Imported 1/2 lb Snow Crab Juicy Special
    Mei L.

Don't forget to look at their Daily Specials! There could be the right deal and combination for you. Their sauce is not as thick as other places I've had, and can be a bit salty, at times oily, but all still good in my opinion. I like that the shrimp came sliced open and deveined. Snow crab legs were easy to eat. Cracked them open and the meat slid out easily. The crawfish were meaty, just wished there were more. I love crawfish way too much. I've only had their food delivered. They're quick and decently priced.

    Seafood Combo

Omg when I tell you how much I love this place I preordered my seafood combo which was a 1/2 lb of shrimp ( no head) 1/2 lb crab legs 1/2 lb of sausage and added extra corn and potatoes with the juicy sauce and mid spicy level CHEFS KISS HANDS DOWN. I absolutely love the staff they always great me and love they always seem to know it's me when I order . 100/10 any day of the week. Don't walk run and go enjoy everything they have to offer!

Wednesday special (shrimp and snow crab legs)

The Mighty Crab serves seafood boils. They are located within New Grand Buffet. No indoor dining as of COVID but they have outdoor dining. There are daily specials which can feed two people. I had the Wednesday special consisting of 1 pound of headless shrimp and some snow crab legs. They have three types of seasoning, cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic butter, or you can choose a mixture of all three which they call juicy special. They can also adjust the spice level. They provide bibs, gloves, and hand wipes with an order. The food was pretty good, but the seasoning wasn't very flavorful. I had mine with the juicy special and no spice. The flavor was salty and buttery. Might be because I asked for not spicy. The seafood comes with some corn on the cob and red potatoes. Shrimp was good and not overcooked, unlike the corn. Surprisingly, my favorite were the potatoes. Nice place for seafood boil if you live nearby, but I would not go out of the way to come here since there are much better boils elsewhere.

    Clams Chowder Soup
    Tessa J.

This has got to be one of the worst places I've ever gotten food from. The clam chowder soup was like greasy water with virtually no clams, potatoes, carrot or celery. The garlic bread sticks had no garlic or any seasoning and were ice cold. I threw my entire order away. What a waste of money.

They dont want to refill anything.
    Barry J.

Dont waste your money. Listen to me. As a fat person and i had seriously not even a plate. I didnt go for a second plate because the food is super bad. Service is bad as well. They cant refill no food. No seafoods but shrimp. Just mostly fries and pizza and some frozen tacos. They couldn't even refill the drinks. They're not even busy at all. Dont go here. GO TO UMI BUFFET Few mins drive and you will not waste your money.

This is a good place to go if you like the buffet, but they also offer a full menu, which we didn't ask the first time we went there. They don't have many dishes I would like to enjoy as a buffet, but I liked the broccoli cooked with the chicken. That broccoli was crispy and not overcooked. I also enjoyed the shrimp cocktails and baby clams. The crabs were delicious too. I didn't care for desserts. The salad section looked good. The service was good but I could see they needed more staff.

From the moment I…read morewalked in, the room struck that elusive balance New York diners crave laid-back but buzzing, with a live band lending just enough rhythm to keep the energy lifted without overwhelming the table. The service matched the mood: polished, attentive, and genuinely warm, the kind that makes you feel like a regular on your first visit. The menu reads like a love letter to Creole indulgence, and I didn't hold back. The French toast arrived as a golden, impossibly soft, and rich with butter, dissolving on contact like a sweet airy cloud. It's the sort of dish that makes you briefly consider abandoning decorum and slipping into the kitchen to kiss the chef. Equally compelling were the grilled oysters and shrimp skewers, both deeply seasoned and cooked with precision. The oysters carried a smoky char that played beautifully against their natural brininess, while the shrimp snapped with freshness and spice. The crawfish Benedict followed suit, offering a clever twist on the classic: a perfectly poached egg perched atop a tender crawfish patty, all brought together by a hollandaise that felt distinctive without trying too hard silky, slightly tangy, and memorable. And then there are the mimosas; bright, balanced, and flowing freely thanks to a server who never let a glass sit empty for long. In a city overflowing with brunch contenders, this spot manages to stand out. It's confident without being flashy, indulgent without being excessive, and absolutely worth a visit.

Great Creole restaurant with an awesome vibe!…read more Came here on a weeknight. I made sure to make reservations ahead of time, since the restaurant tends to be busy. The place was crowded, but we got a table on the second floor right away. For appetizers, we ordered the Honey Chili Brussels Sprouts and the Cajun Shrimp Skewers. Both were delicious with a ton of flavor. 5/5 for appetizers. For my entree, I had the Cornmeal-crusted Black Sea Bass. It was also really good. The fish was seared perfectly, the vegetables and lemon butter sauce combined with it perfectly. 4.5/5 for entree. For dessert, we shared the Hummingbird cake. I enjoyed the cake filling, which was coffee flavor, more than the rest of the cake. 4/5 for dessert. I think next time I might order the Beignets or Bread Pudding. The atmosphere gets a 5/5 for me. And the service was very good. I think this is a great restaurant to experience the New Orleans vibe without leaving NYC.

Anyway, the eatery is up the block, sitting at the corner of the street. If we had known, or if they've updated their address online, maybe my husband wouldn't be sporting a bruise on his shiny forehead. On to the food... It was an interesting take on several items. The only thing I would consider ordering again is the seafood jajangmyeon. The jambalaya was underwhelming to say the least. I liked the corn over the rest of the apps. Then again, who can screw up corn?? The establishment have two floors but their first floor requires descending a few steps to access so one would wonder is that a basement. Top floor have the huge windows so every guest wanted to be up there. Toilet is in between the floors, in the middle of the staircase. Better watch your step, or else you would be rollin' with your Kjun!

We got in line around 7:30 pm on a Sunday and waited about an hour to order our food and another 20 minutes or so to be seated. You pick all the seafood you want first and how you want it prepared. Once you're seated, you get another menu with appetizers and other cooked dishes. Your seafood gets brought out along with any other dishes you ordered. Everything we got was really good and cooked to perfection. It was such a unique experience as well. I noticed some of the items on the display were frozen (red head shrimp) was one of the items. While they do not weight the seafood in front of you. The list the prices up front, so that was somewhat awkward process?? I ask for octopus, scallops, smelts, and a red snapper . The octopus was the most expensive item, it was marked $45 a pound.. We were then sent to 2nd floor for seating. Since we needed a table for 2, we got a very small table near the stairs. The table was so small, we knew right away that it be an issue given the amount of food we ordered. Our waitress came by and we added grilled eggplant, lemon potatoes and the beat salad. The brought us a small basket of pita like bread, hot, fluffy and delicious. So we had all the appetizers but the food took 30 mins and from the looks, it dis not seemed busy. In my opinion, the side dishes should be brought out with main courses but i guess thats NOT what they do here. I recalled asking at the counter for light seasoning on the red snapper. When the fish came to the table, it had some type of breadcrumbs and oil or butter. Which in my opinion is not bad but i appreciate the unique texture and flavor red snapper has all on its own. The octopus was good but i never had it sliced looking like bacon strips. Tasty but different, scallops had a little paprika, cooled perfectly. The smelts were fried just perfectly, like good french fries. I assume this restaurant is a mix of middle-Mediterranean cooking style. Food was tasty, style of service was definitely different. I will come back and try the lunch specials during the week. As a side note, accessing the restrooms was very confusing, they have 2 restrooms, there was a line to get into the restrooms. Very clean bathrooms for sure.
