Daily Specials - Tuesday $27 1/2 lb Shrimp - Imported (No Head) 1/2 lb Crawfish - Imported 1/2 lb Snow Crab Juicy Special
    Mei L.

Don't forget to look at their Daily Specials! There could be the right deal and combination for you. Their sauce is not as thick as other places I've had, and can be a bit salty, at times oily, but all still good in my opinion. I like that the shrimp came sliced open and deveined. Snow crab legs were easy to eat. Cracked them open and the meat slid out easily. The crawfish were meaty, just wished there were more. I love crawfish way too much. I've only had their food delivered. They're quick and decently priced.

    F3. Fried Catfish Basket

Ordered the fried catfish basket. The fried catfish was uncooked and had a terrible odor. This is very disappointing.

Wednesday special (shrimp and snow crab legs)
    Anna L.

The Mighty Crab serves seafood boils. They are located within New Grand Buffet. No indoor dining as of COVID but they have outdoor dining. There are daily specials which can feed two people. I had the Wednesday special consisting of 1 pound of headless shrimp and some snow crab legs. They have three types of seasoning, cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic butter, or you can choose a mixture of all three which they call juicy special. They can also adjust the spice level. They provide bibs, gloves, and hand wipes with an order. The food was pretty good, but the seasoning wasn't very flavorful. I had mine with the juicy special and no spice. The flavor was salty and buttery. Might be because I asked for not spicy. The seafood comes with some corn on the cob and red potatoes. Shrimp was good and not overcooked, unlike the corn. Surprisingly, my favorite were the potatoes. Nice place for seafood boil if you live nearby, but I would not go out of the way to come here since there are much better boils elsewhere.

    Seafood Combo

Omg when I tell you how much I love this place I preordered my seafood combo which was a 1/2 lb of shrimp ( no head) 1/2 lb crab legs 1/2 lb of sausage and added extra corn and potatoes with the juicy sauce and mid spicy level CHEFS KISS HANDS DOWN. I absolutely love the staff they always great me and love they always seem to know it's me when I order . 100/10 any day of the week. Don't walk run and go enjoy everything they have to offer!

    Clams Chowder Soup
    T.J. R.

This has got to be one of the worst places I've ever gotten food from. The clam chowder soup was like greasy water with virtually no clams, potatoes, carrot or celery. The garlic bread sticks had no garlic or any seasoning and were ice cold. I threw my entire order away. What a waste of money.

They dont want to refill anything.
    Barry J.

Dont waste your money. Listen to me. As a fat person and i had seriously not even a plate. I didnt go for a second plate because the food is super bad. Service is bad as well. They cant refill no food. No seafoods but shrimp. Just mostly fries and pizza and some frozen tacos. They couldn't even refill the drinks. They're not even busy at all. Dont go here. GO TO UMI BUFFET Few mins drive and you will not waste your money.

This is a good place to go if you like the buffet, but they also offer a full menu, which we didn't ask the first time we went there. They don't have many dishes I would like to enjoy as a buffet, but I liked the broccoli cooked with the chicken. That broccoli was crispy and not overcooked. I also enjoyed the shrimp cocktails and baby clams. The crabs were delicious too. I didn't care for desserts. The salad section looked good. The service was good but I could see they needed more staff.

I tried the fried calamari appetizer, garlic noodles, garlic bread, Cap't Louis mild sauce with snow crab legs, shrimp, clams, scallops, sausage, and broccoli (steamed or boiled). Each bag already comes with a potato and corn. Scallops were fairly large. Snow crab legs were easy to eat and delicious. Clam shells were large, but not much meat inside. The seasoning was tasty and had a decent spice kick. The more pounds you order, the more sides you get. They have a list of market prices. They don't have alcohol, which seems like a missed opportunity. We would've loved to have a drink. It is nice to have a seafood boil option in that area. They give bibs, gloves, and a disposable dish. I wish the water was served in washable cups for less plastic waste. There is meter parking.

Been either dining in or ordering take out ever since they opened the Rego Park location. Service is always friendly and amazing either dine in or take out. Take out is super easy. We ordered 1lb each of the shrimp with head, snow crab legs and craw fish. We love the oceanic sauce but also ordered on garlic butter with old baby cause the little one loves it. You can also pick the level of spiciness. Only drawback is, seems like there's less sauce and the sauce is very watery compared to before and my kids love dipping the seafood back in the sauce and coating their rice in the sauce. We love the mango pina colada with a kick and the virgin option is always a treat for the 21 and under. They even sent an extra drink today since they made an extra by accident. Thank you!!!

I ate here for the first time with a couple other guys (who have all worked in the restaurant industry) 5 years ago. We ate until we were full, still had leftovers, and enjoyed the creative-yet-familiar cocktails and quirky decor from the mezzanine. Everyone had something nice to say about our experience here, and to this day I still remember reheating my jambalaya the next morning and having a satisfying breakfast. On my most recent visit to the city last month, I brought my girlfriend--and this place still stands up. The staff is attentive and patient, with helpful suggestions and personable service. The drinks are exciting. And most of all, the food is delicious and, in authentic Nola style, is served in generous portions at a fair price. Probably not a Michelin-worthy fine dining experience, but--and I do not throw this term around a lot on this app--I LOVE this restaurant. Catch me back here every time I'm in New York.

It was all of our first time - we all enjoyed the decor and ambiance. We drank at the bar before being seated - drinks were good, customer service from the staff at the bar was great, very personable and attentive. Once seated at our table we ordered appetizers, crab dip & pretzel bites, and the muffuletta flatbread - presentation, size, flavor 10/10 delicious. Entrees - blackened Sesame Salmon was just okay and dry. Crispy roasted French chicken, didn't have any flavor - the chicken was just okay, the green beans had bacon in it that tasted overcooked, I almost didn't recognize that it was bacon. There was no cream, fat, or richness to these entrees that I expected to get from a New Orleans styled restaurant. The appetizers were better than the entrees. There was no weight, or layered flavors to the dishes. I almost feel like this was more of the restaurant catering to the audience, instead of staying true to what it was designed for. As the time passed the environment became less alluring and felt more like a chain - the music was some awful top 10 If the restaurant stayed true to the website it could have been the cutest experience to stumble upon. I would only come back if I was in the area and wanted a familiar experience and a drink, I wouldn't do what I did and make an event out of it with friends

We also went with the blackened catfish, and japchae balls. Both of which were solid! For our mains we did the crab curry, the fried chicken, and the brisket with grits. The chicken was battered to perfection, it was airy and not too heavy. The grits were done beautifully, the texture wasn't overly wet and mushy! Normally not a grits gal but it was sooo good. Some of the pieces of meat were rendered while some were a bit tough. The staff even threw in cornbread for our table which was very sweet!
