I rarely like to order steak tips because they are mostly not good. But this place made it really good. The bread, the BBQ ribs, the salad are very good. Even the rice and bread are good. Great service, great food, reasonable price and very friendly service. All add up to a 5 star rating. I certainly will come back next time I visit the area. read more

We've ate here for the past three years and we've been enjoying the food and service. We've had everything except the pizza and it's been fantastic. Our toddler has enjoyed the different kids menu items and cycled through different foods that didn't lead to the typical "just eat your dinner" talk. We got 4 meals to go. A couple of sides. The food was tasty but the portions were very small. Example: combination plates. Beef tips w chicken. Potato. Broccoli. Tips were fabulous but only got 2. 4 dinners in 4 night absolutely tremendous!!! I did not catch the hostes name but she was spectacular always remembered us and sat us promptly! Our server that last 2 nights was Ryan and he was outstanding!!!! He truly cares about his job and this shows through his efforts and service. Above and beyond would be an insult to his dedication to make your dinner top notch... 15 yrs anniversary was made special by a stranger going above and beyond. Me and my wife were greeted by exuberant staff that always smiled and gave great recommendations from food here to local places to explore during the day. We started with the loaded sweet potato skins... and I tell you, from the 1st to last bite I felt like I died and went to heaven. The flavor was mouth watering. Wash it down with a cold draft of Citizens Cider and its everything you hoped and dreamed about. Main course was the BBQ Cheddar burgers. Me and the wife each got them, medium. My wife ordered the chili and chips and was happy with the size and taste. I ordered the ribs and while no expert on ribs, was very pleased with my choice. The side of spinach was extra special since it is hard to find creamed spinach on the menu. There are so many options for places to eat while in the area but this place is a must visit. The service was quick and efficient but most of all the food was amazing. We passed up the fresh hot bread that was brought to the table but it smelled heavenly. I got the bbq ribs and tips with salad and homemade ranch. We had a family vacation with our 3 years old daughter. After we get out of the Story Land, we went to this popular restaurant, not sure whether we can actually get a seat. The receptionist was very friendly and arranged a table for us right away, even though our reservation was about one and a half hour later. Excellent dinner! A little off the beaten path from where we are vacationing, so glad we came out. Burrata ravioli was super flavorful. Steak tips were juicy and cooked perfectly. Barbecue chicken had a tasty sauce, not super sweet and a little tangy. Maple bacon Brussels sprouts were perfect, a little crisp on the edges and smoky and flavorful. The kids grilled cheese looked to be on homemade bread and we (the parents) stole his crust to sop up the rest of my Parmesan tomato sauce from the ravioli. The Rex Fox Bar & Grille satisfied every need I needed to be satisfied. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is comforting and not very overwhelming despite the large amount of people inside the restaurant. We have returned to the Red Fox for multiple years now, and I have been satisfied every time. This time I started with the chicken caesar salad, which was perfectly covered in cheese and the chicken was cooked perfectly. For my entree, I treated myself to the steak tips with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak tips had a sweet marinade which contradicted the savoriness of the potatoes and green beans swimmingly. I also could not resist getting a nice piece of cheesecake on my way out, which I am sure to enjoy as much as the rest of my meal. Kid AND adult friendly! Hallelujah! Loved it so much we went back the very next day for dinner. The last time we were In the area, we found kid friendly but the food was just okay. At Red Fox, adults can have a real meal. I suggest you call ahead for reservations as it seems to be busy especially peak hours. They take your cell and text when ready. There is a 'movie room' for kids as well as another playroom for kids to wait. Two separate dining rooms: one for families with kids and one for adults. Once seated they give the kids nice big fat crayons to color/draw with. Whom ever is manning the special Josper Grill did an awesome job of cooking the steaks perfectly. Give that person a raise! We started with the spinach dip ($10) and omg the garlicky thin buttery bread was amazing! Hubby had the wild mushroom NY sirloin ($33) that came with mashed potatoes and maple bacon Brussel sprouts. Of course it was cooked perfectly and our awesome server Richard informed us that they pick the fresh mushrooms locally. I had the ala carte filet medallions ($15) and baked potato ($3) which was 6 oz steak cut in half and melted in my mouth. Kids Mac & cheese and pasta were pretty standard. Don't forget to check in for free dessert! We had the fresh baked chocolate chip cookie and a brownie sundae and they were both delicious!
