I stopped in for…read morewhat should have been a simple order--a thin crust cheese pizza--but after waiting over 25 minutes, it became clear something was off. During that time, the bartender appeared more focused on socializing and engaging with certain patrons than attending to orders. From where I was seated, I had a clear view of the bar area, and the level of attentiveness to customers seemed inconsistent with what I would expect from a professional environment. When my pizza finally arrived, it was unfortunately overcooked to the point of being inedible--completely burnt and very hard. This was frustrating, especially given the wait time and the simplicity of the order. (See photo attached). I'm sharing this feedback because I believe there's an opportunity to improve both service standards and overall attentiveness. ****This establishment has had approximately 7 health code violations which is one way too many to begin with. (Listed under their Yelp! Reviews). Customers should feel confident that their orders are being handled with care and that staff are focused on providing a positive experience. One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. Crispy carnitas tacos and the hibiscus margaritas are my go-to's, and the fresh chips and salsa served gratis are always delicious and hot. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.

Then we moved on to our main entree I went with the fillet mignon and my husband went with a Snake River Wagyu Denver steak and for our sides we went with roasted broccolini and potato au gratin with truffle oil. Both of our steaks were delicious and the sides were just the perfect combination to go with it. I can forget to mention that we also got a few cocktails and they were also good. We closed our dinner with a delicious and light crème brûlée. We left wanting to already come back and celebrate something else. I happened to be seated nearby during an interaction with a group of women who were openly rude and condescending toward her from the start. Despite that, she remained calm, polite, and handled herself with grace. If anything, she showed remarkable composure under unnecessary pressure. Service jobs aren't easy, and it's disappointing when unfair situations get misrepresented online. Based on what I personally observed, Tatum did nothing but her job and did it well. We went to Jane on Saturday, January 17th around 8:30-8:45 pm for a nightcap with a group of three. It was crowded, which was fine -- the service was not. The host (a man in his late 20s or early 30s with a buzz cut and mustache) had us put our name in but couldn't give even a rough wait estimate. He then told us there were open seats at the bar. As we walked toward them, he immediately went to his friends sitting nearby, and they jumped up and took the bar seats he had just told us were available. We waited 40 minutes and received a text that our "table for three" was ready -- only to be told when we returned that there was actually standing room only. When we again saw open bar seats, the same friends reappeared and claimed they were "saving them" because they'd gone out to smoke. The host backed them up. This felt less like a cocktail lounge and more like a place where the host plays bouncer for his friends. Prioritizing friends over paying guests, brushing people off, and mismanaging the waitlist is incredibly unprofessional. We left without ever being served. For a place that positions itself as a cocktail lounge, this kind of favoritism is unacceptable and disappointing.

The fish and chips - the fish was fluffy and flaked apart. The batter on it was light tasting and crunchy. The shrimp cocktail we got was gross. The shrimp had this bland taste to it. I think the batch of shrimp wasn't great with how it was blanched. We added horseradish to the cocktail sauce to add more seasoning to it. The oysters were also gross. There were so many little chips of the shell in the oysters. It just wasn't very good and I was worried if it was fresh enough. Cocktails felt premixed. Wide selection of wine and beer. Other than that, it's so worth coming here for the hot seafood and views. Service was decent. Restrooms are across the way by the bar area. We parked near the beach parking lot and had to walk to the restaurant. There are steep hills so have some good shoes for this!
