They've since redeemed themselves. It's great food. First time having this today. It was just okay. I ordered the chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce. I ordered delivery, it took around an hour which is what it quoted so I'm okay with that. The food itself was just meh. The sauce on the chicken and broccoli was gelatinous and congealed. It tasted okay but the consistency turned me off big time. The fried rice was also meh, edible but not great. I also ordered soup and it was the best part of the meal haha. Even my fortune cookie was stale which I found odd. Overall, it was chinese delivery. Typical fare. Def edible and it arrived hot so it wasn't a terrible experience but I just wasn't blown away by anything I had. If you're wanting some Chinese takeout, it'll satisfy the craving. Best take out Chinese in Lake Worth! About a year ago I called my favorite delivery Chinese restaurant and sadly they were closed that weekend. My husband and I were really really in the mood for Chinese so I called Red House. We had tried them in the past and I wasn't ever super impressed. Well this night they blew us away and we have never ordered from the other restaurant again! They offer a Family Pack Special like most Chinese restaurants but usually we get individual dinners. The dinners are all between $8.00-$9.00. You have the choice of an entree, white rice or fried rice, chicken wing or egg roll and a can of soda. I like that if you do not want the egg roll you can have a double soda. I always order the orange chicken and it's never soggy or greasy. The egg rolls are huge and the portion of fried rice you get is great. I can always get 2 meals out of one dinner combination. Delivery can be a bit long so usually we will pick it up. If you choose that option your order is most likely ready in 15 minutes. They take credit cards and for delivery have a $12.00 minimum. I work very close to the restaurant and we order lunch a lot. They offer lunch specials starting at just $5.75 If you're in the downtown Lake Worth area I highly suggest ordering from Red House when you get a Chinese craving! read more

Best Chinese food ever!! The food is not covered in oil, as most Chinese places are. You can actually taste the flavors of each dish. I got the General Tso Chicken with fried rice and Krab Rangoon. I shared with my significant other Bc the portions are fairly large. Only reason it is 4 stars is Bc it does take a while for them to get the food ready. But it's totally worth the wait. This was the best hands down! It took 30 mins to arrive what I think to be great timing. I was disappointed that there was only one egg roll because it was the best I've ever had!! The chicken Pad Thai was so full of flavor and amazingly fresh just like the egg roll !! I was cautious about coming here since while the reviews were generally positive, there weren't that many, but we were in the mood for some takeout and decided to give it a chance. We ordered chicken with garlic sauce, sesame chicken, and krab rangoons. The store itself is tiny with room for only a group of 4-5 people to eat in. This probably doesn't matter since most people take out anyway, but you might have to make room while waiting. We ended up waiting around an hour, even though we were only second in line. The staff there was slightly curt...maybe they were overwhelmed? The food was just meh. The chicken with garlic sauce was bland and just tasted like simple hot sauce. There was no depth to whatever flavor was there, the chicken was tough and tendinous, and the vegetables were mushy. The sesame chicken was both overly sweet and not sweet enough and had a lot of breading with near raw broccoli. The krab rangoons were the only redeeming factors. They were decently crunchy with good crab flavor. I'm not sure how there's so many good reviews of this place. I think we ordered pretty standard items that should be manageable and quick to make. Overall, if you reallyyy need to have some Chinese takeout and can't manage driving further to a different restaurant, I guess you could come here, but I doubt that your craving will be sufficiently satisfied. read more

Ordered one spring roll, one order steamed dumplings, one pint pork mei fun. Delivered promptly. Spring roll was ok, streamed dumplings were ok. When I opened up the mei fun, it was pork fried rice. Thought it was an honest mistake. Called, spoke to the gentleman I placed the order with. Said I always order fried rice - I have never ordered from them before. Another man got on the phone, said mei fun was more expensive. Said I will not pay more for their mistake. Then a woman got on the phone, said the same thing the other two men had said. I had to fight 5 minutes until she relented. Food wasn't that good, and the fight they put up will not have me ordering again. One star for the nice delivery man. Avoid. PS the mei fun was not good. We just ordered from here and it was fantastic. We got wonton soup, steamed pork dumplings, vegetable egg foo young and shrimp and lobster sauce. The fried rice was flavorful and very fresh, bonus no peas and carrots!! The dumplings were fresh and not full of water! The vegetables in the egg food young were fresh and the gravy was fantastic. Last night I was craving Chinese. I have lived here for 12 years and finding Chinese that's good is a challenge. I'm from NY/NJ and picky about Chinese. We picked up from Red House they were not doing delivery. First I want to say the pick up process was amazing. I am a nurse and was amazing by their process to protect customers as well as workers. The food was great. I am a huge fan of Hot and Sour Soup and Singapore rice noodles they were both fabulous. I always need a staple Chinese restaurant to order delivery from in every town I live in, and I have found my spot in Lake Worth. Red House has solid options that are made with a tradition touch by what I like to call the "mom and dad", as it is a family owned place where the parents do a lot of the cooking. Normally you will get a lot of the same type of Chinese food down here, and it is a nice change to actually taste the difference in the food even though the choices are similar. Got sick from the food at this place a while back and never returned. A neighbor said it's under new ownership, which I confirmed while placing my order. Same location, take out only, same name and similar menu. Unfortunately the food is not as good as the old owner. We ordered two orders of the General TSO combination dinners. Which included the standard fried rice, steamed broccoli, egg roll and chicken. They were chicken nuggets in a sweet sauce. It tasted more like McDonalds nuggets in a dipping sauce. A far cry from the General TSO that I'm use to eating. I ordered an order off fried dumplings that were tasteless. All the food is very bland and tasteless and everything tasted the same. read more

First time picking up from here and we were pleasantly surprised!!!! The food was being finished as we walked in to pick up. Everything tasted very fresh and the egg rolls were good. Fastest delivery ever!! I ordered boneless spare ribs lunch special with the egg roll, donuts and an order of house fried rice..I like rice! Just stopped in here, after driving by many times and seeing it but never stopping by. My 12 year old ordered the Broccoli with Shrimp and I got the Cashew Chicken meals that came with rice and eggrolls, and we also got a side of Plaintains. The food is DELICIOUS and the husband and wife team had it all ready to go for us, in about 10 minutes. The portions are large so there will be plenty for leftovers. Fast, cheap and good.
