The good: I made it a personal goal of mine to try every restaurant in Susanville. This one was my favorite. Their burgers, sandwiches, poppers, mushrooms, and sides are amazing. Their fries are probably the best I've had anywhere. When you call in, they give you a time estimate over the phone which is always spot on. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful. Even during the rush, they get stuff out FAST. This place is underrated and a small town gem. The meh: they have some odd policies, like calling you if you're even 12 seconds late to pick up your order, and asking you enough questions to make a CIA interrogator jealous. They do seem to cheap out on some stuff: they charge for every condiment, they give you the thinnest paper bags known to man, and they don't bother removing snow from in front of their only entrance, causing a huge slipping hazard (it hadn't snowed for over a week and they just let it sit there). Despite being called Pizza, their pizza is some of the worst I've had. That's a matter of taste, of course. It's hard to ruin pizza but they do. The bad: the manager seems to have no filter and picks fights with customers who show even the slightest criticism. In a small town like this, word spreads fast. Instead of owning up to it and trying to improve, she just wants to contradict everyone. I have no doubt she'll be commenting on this, even though I highly recommend this restaurant and think it's 90% awesome. read more

Went in to try the burgers this time and didn't disappoint! It was a massive burger with a slab of bacon... not just a double thick piece, but like a bacon steak... lots of melted cheese, and a couple crispy onion rings... I would have liked a bit more BBQ sauce. I couldn't finish it either way with all the fries. Mitch was super friendly and his staff helped us with the order. The place had some TVs that had some football games on. Definitely will go back for more burgers or pizza. read more

The burger i had was good The fries were good as usual this place was good but Unfortunately my wife ordered the chicken bacon ranch it came out burnt I addressed the issue with the guy in front he went to the owner and long story short they said because its a brick oven they come out like that now granite I hear him but then he went on to say that we won't remake the sandwich and that next time let us know to toast it light the cheese won't fully melt and the bread will be soft and im like so you won't remake it? I left a review with honest feedback and some how it got removed. I do not recommend this place, pizza is way to greasy. The staff was friendly the times I have been there. I wanted to like the bacon burger, but the bacon was two times the size of the burger; thickness and hight, which made it over power the hamburger itself. I'll give it a 3.1 instead of the original one star I gave after the owner attacked so many people on Facebook for being honest about the food. Their pizza is just okay. I'd rank their pizza 4th best in Susanville after Lassen Ale Works (the best), Round Table, and Pizza Factory. The only real reason to get pizza here is that they're cheaper than the others, but life is too short for bad pizza. They might just edge out Little Caesars for 4th place. I would've gave them three stars but they'll happily send you home with an overcooked (burnt even) pizza. Be sure to have a look inside the box before you leave with your takeout order. A couple days ago we wanted Red Hut pizza. They are about 13 miles from us so I thought I'd call to see if they delivered in Janesville. I was asked to hold, which I normally don't mind but approximately every 20 seconds there was a horrible squealing sound. About five minutes later, the young man working the counter, came back on the phone and told me that he hadn't forgotten about me, but I still needed to hold. It was another minute, a total of six minutes, that I was on hold. When he finally came back, I asked him if they delivered and he said no. my husband and I debated other places to get pizza but because we've always liked Red Hut we decided that I would go pick it up. I went online on their website, and ordered pizza. It was easy to do and I was pleased with that experience. I went into town, and the pizza was ready so I picked it up and came home. I had ordered a large half-and-half pizza, half Red Hut Combo and half Big Island. When I arrived home, my husband open the box. The Big Island half of the pizza was significantly larger than the half of the combo pizza. There was actually one small sliver of a piece that was only cheese pizza. I was also disappointed in the lack of pineapple on the Big Island pizza, plus it was described as having ghost pepper cheese. I expected heat in the pizza but there was none. All in all, the pizza was OK. While I was disappointed, we definitely will try again because stuff happens. My apologies for no pictures. read more

We had ordered from Red Hut when they first opened and the pizza wasn't our favorite. Last night we decided to give them another chance. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with spicy red sauce and some garlic knots. The pizza was delicious. The sauce was my favorite part, but the crust was really good too. I had the pleasure of listening to the boss/owner belittle an employee while waiting on my pizza for a few minutes. I won't go into all the details but I called after I left to see if the owner would like to redeem himself. He didn't. Then proceeded to text my phone with childish insults and minor threats. They will be saved. I feel sorry for all the employees that have to work under this fool. They were really nice and respectful. The pizza is mediocre at best. Staff was polite and the place was fairly clean. I was hoping for a lighter crust, per photos. I'd only go back if the crust was improved greatly. The best pizza and wings in Susanville. The interior of the business is super clean but parking can be an issue. All I can say is, "Yummy."

Pizza was OK. Ambiance, forget it- asked if loud music could be mellowed a bit and the counter guy said, I'll ask him but he (the cook?, owner?) won't want to. And tipping? You shouldn't because you carry your own plates (and clean up afterwards). When I was called to pick up my pizza at the window (on the pan), it was hot and the guy gave the look like, "pick it up like this you idiot" so he slid the hot pan onto a plastic tray. Never again.
