At 6:03am this morning I placed a mobile order through Jack in the Box's mobile app. I submitted my payment and requested that my food be made now. When I arrive to Jack In The Box, I waited at the menu for 18 minutes, and was never acknowledged. Since this was a mobile order pick-up, I pulled to the pickup window noticing several cars behind me. I waited at the drive-up window for 20 minutes before doing a lap around the store to try to get my food again. Multiple people were honking their horns and trying to get the attention of the people inside the store to notice that we, the customer are waiting outside. I counted twelve cars and total. After started to frustrate me, I turned my camera towards the store and was able to record the individuals peeking around the corner to see customers driving up to the window trying to get there mobile pick ups as well. I'm not sure what was going on, but not one time did anybody come out to let the customers know what was going on. No acknowledgement whatsoever. According to the district manager, Chris, the store should have been opened at 6 a.m. . All in all, I was at the store for 42 minutes, had to be to work so I had to leave. This was very frustrating, because I didn't get my breakfast or my lunch which were both ordered together. That's what I get for choosing Jack in the Box in Susanville California. On previous visits there have been numerous mistakes and errors but I have not reviewed these because I know that during covid-19 there are difficult obstacles to overcome for franchise owners and business owners just as there are obstacles for myself to overcome as well. On a previous visit using the mobile app, I ordered food for myself and my family and the order totaled almost $45. I was not careful to select the pick up option and instead of going through the drive-thru I had to go into the lobby to pick up my food. This was my mistake, so I wasn't frustrated at the Jack-in-the-Box staff or the app or any other workings of this establishment. It did frustrate me was, the food that was given to me was an incomplete order. They tried to give me a sandwich, no fries, an order of tiny tacos and a milkshake and told me that that was my entire order. This visit took over an hour to rectify since they had no record of what they had put together from the mobile app and I had to rely on a screenshot that I had taken. This mistake could have been costly, but my lunch hour was expended and it was time to go back to work, so this is just another example of poor customer service and poor operations. I am not writing a poor one star review on this establishment because they are slow, or because the food is poor, or cold, or dirty, or anything else of that nature. I don't run to Yelp every time I get frustrated at a company. After living in Lassen County for 4 years, and numerous mistakes from this particular establishment, I should have known better dented try it again today. The reason I decided to write this review is because despite talking to corporate, and despite attempting to resolve the matter with the district manager, the situation is still unresolved. District manager Chris, told me that I needed to go into the store to receive a refund. I'm working as a nurse 7 days a week right now, and we are short-staffed leading to 12 to 18 hour days. I will probably have to cut my losses, rather than to deal with any drama that might result and somebody this place doesn't know walking in and asking for a refund. This morning's order was for a total of $9.76. I think I will leave matters alone so I don't ever have to go to this restaurant again. I'll conclude my review with a couple of positive facts. This restaurant has excellent food, generally fast service, though their service is not accurate and you need to check your order before leaving. It could be something as simple as forgetting to put ketchup in the bag for your French fries, or if you order a 10-piece anything, you might only get 9 pieces. The restaurant is clean and seems to be well maintained. When they get it right, they do it awesome which made this location one of my favorite places to frequent. Over the course of the last 95 days this store has gone down the tubes, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it get picked back up again. A final positive note, district manager Chris is very courteous and seemed genuinely concerned about resolving my issue. My complaint is, he doesn't seem to have the authority to do so in a fashion that would work for me, so I guess I donated $9.76 the Jack in the Box for my very last visit ever. read more

The food was good. The service was terrible. I ordered two kids combos and some other food. The cashier did not hand me drinks for the kids combos after giving me my receipt and when I went to inquire about it, he was already helping another customer. The customer who he was now talking to told the cashier whose name was Dakota, that the bacon was missing from his burger. the cashier, Dakota, told the customer, " That's not my fault I didn't make your burger. You can take that up with the cook. You want to take that up with the cook? The customer said yes sure I would like to speak with the Cook because I would like to get what I paid for. Dakota went and complained to the Cook that the customer didn't get bacon on his burger and the cook said that was no problem. She would make him a new burger. The cashier was very rude to the customer and had a bad attitude. I then asked the cashier, if I could have the drinks that came with my kids combos. He said I could have a bottle of water. I said is that the only drink that came with the kids combos and he said yes. He gave me one bottle of water. I said I ordered two kids combos and he said I only get one bottle of water. I said I ordered 2 kids combos and he snapped at me that I only get 1 bottle of water. He did not explain further. He said if I wanted drinks for my kids, I would have to buy drinks for them. I bought Two additional drinks for my kids in addition to the kids, combos I already purchased. I then double checked the menu and saw that the kids combos that I ordered both stated they came with the option of milk, apple juice, or water. I told him to look at the menu, and that I was owed those drinks. He said you get apple juice or water. I told him I wasn't offered apple juice. he said well I gave you a bottle of water. And then he told me that the pancake combo that I ordered for my other child, which is listed under the kids combos, which is listed as getting a drink, apparently doesn't count as getting a drink. His attitude was argumentative and rude. This is not the behavior of a professional employee that should be working the cash register. He lacked simple customer service skills. He was rude to me and another customer over simple requests. read more

When I need a junk food fix I come to Jack in the Box for tacos. I always order them with extra sauce so they have to be made fresh. That didn't happen here. They were terrible. Cold, soggy with really limpy lettuce and extra sauce just squirted on top and throw in a bag. They fell apart when you tried to pick them up. Ugh so bad, the worst I've ever had. Seriously inedible.
