Came in here after dinner with some friends since it was my diet cheat day and I had been thinking about a milkshake for the week. We got an oreo milkshake, and root beer float, and Lemon Meringue pie to share between the three of us. The interior is very retro but very clean and new, most diners I walk into these days seem to be a bit dated and dingy, not the case here! The Oreo milkshake was perfect consistency and was delicious. The root beer float was also amazing with a great ratio of ice cream to liquid. The lemon meringue pie was amazing, perfectly tart with a hint of sweet. The toasted top was done perfectly with a little bit of nuts. Looking around at other people eating the food looked really great and the portion sizes giant. Definitely worth coming to! read more

Always great food and drinks at the Red Line Diner. If I had to pick a couple cavities off the menu... The Jack Daniels Hanger Steak, with mashed potatoes and asparagus is always out of this world. One of my fav appetizers is the Southwest or Santa Fe Rolls (not sure of the exact name). The avocado dipping sauce with them is insane!!! The owner Nick, always on the floor checking to ensure the customers are enjoying their meals. We have several awesome servers at the diner too. There's Jesse, Micci and Anthony... Decided to come eat here since we were staying at the hotel right next door. And we even got a 10% discount when we showed them our key card. For a tuesday night they were packed!! I'd say easily over 100 patrons. Table next to us when we were seated were complaining that they've been waiting for over 30 min. so I was expecting a slow service. Fortunately for us the other waiteesses picked up the slack of the one waiter and she was beyond amazing!! Her name is Nikki. And she was beyond fast!! Multitasking!! Busily running from different tables to the kitchen to the tables again. But she was equally courteous as well. I have rarely seen this combination of speed and customer service operating at such a high level. It was quite amazing. So really thank you Nikki!!! Food was ok. I ordered their scallop mushroom risotto. They provided me with multiple1 large, thick scallops. They were cooked well. And was really tender and well seasoned. Risotto was overly wet. Almost looked like congee or a rice porridge, definitely not a risotto. Their drinks were really good. Not heavy handed, but the alcohol definitely sneeks up on you. I had their red line lemonade and chocalate martini. Nice tastes to both of them. Their dessert was pretty amazing. We ordered a slice of red velvet. And it was massively large. We came back in tonight after traveling back from Hudson, NY for a Valentine's Day dinner, and even though the dessert we had up there was tasty, we were still in the mood for something sweet before heading home. Enter our old reliable favorite to the rescue: the Red Line Diner! I mentioned in my previous review that I couldn't wait to come back and see if the contents of the tempting pastry case were as good as they looked, and I can't believe I can say this soon that they DEFINITELY are! We had a slice of the Strawberry Shortcake, and it came resplendent with three strawberry stuffed layers, fresh whipped cream, buttery pound cake, strawberry sauce, and even more whipped cream on the plate. WOW. Worth the calories for sure! Our new best friend / favorite waiter ever Anthony served us again, and also filled us in that all of the cakes and pies are made fresh in house! I guess that's why it was so good. We also split an Orange Cream Soda with two straws like a couple out of the 1950s, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, hot fudge, Oreos, and marshmallow sauce. You MUST get the marshmallow sauce on your ice cream here - it makes the sundae taste amazing, even if it's just a simple vanilla scoop. I guess it's safe to say that Red Line Diner has the best desserts of all the diners I've been to thus far. I can't wait to be back to taste the food (and update the review again!) :) read more

The prices at Redline diner have gotten absolutely ridiculous. I just cannot justify it. Some items have gone up $5.00. And they are serving less food than when it was reasonable. No wonder they have rewards. People aren't going as much because of the prices and portions are less, so let's add rewards to have people come back. Never again!! While traveling I like to try local establishments and stay away from the chains. Mid afternoon the parking lot was packed, so we figured it must be good. The building is deceptively small from the outside. They were super busy, but we were seated and served promptly. So many choices, so little time. Menu has all of your typical diner fare, plus much more, including some vegetarian and vegan options. The adult beverage menu looked enticing; we did not indulge as we were pacing ourselves for a wedding reception. I tried the Eggs Copenhagen...eggs, spinach, salmon smothered in hollandaise sauce on grilled English muffin with a side of potatoes. Typically the eggs are poached, but they obligingly cooked them thoroughly at my request. All was delicious, I hated leaving so much behind, but way more than I could eat. Hubby went with a basic Classic Burger, fully dressed with lettuce tomato pickle and a generous side of coleslaw. The burger was huge, I swear it was 6 inches in diameter. He thought it was very good, charbroiled and well done the way he ordered it. A fantastic value for only $7.50. Wow - this is great kitschy place for superb dinner fare at very reasonable prices. Portions are large and service personable and quick. The soup was so good we ordered extra to go. Chicken pot pie was served steaming hot in huge bowl with light flakey crust and was full of large chicken pieces. I love chicken pot pie so believe me when I say this was one of the best I have had. My wife loved her crab cakes but kept dipping into my chicken pot pie and I still could not finish it. We failed to leave room for dessert. Prompt and friendly service! I ordered the vegetarian omelet with feta cheese and home fries with extra pepper and onions. This meal cost me about $13.00. The omelet was packed with veggies that were cut into small pieces. The asparagus added a nice little crunch. If you like medium roast coffee you'll enjoy the one they have to offer. The portions are large enough that you'll probably need a to go container! I also saw that they have a wide variety of baked goods that I'll have to try when I revisit. They are taking the necessary COVID-19 precautions. Hand sanitizer stations at the front, masks required, cashless payment options, outdoor dining, and individually wrapped silverware in a little paper bag. Waitress was a cutie and very attentive, checking on us frequently. They also have a huge cake/cookie display that looked hella good. Only downside here is that you have to get up and pay at the front registers and sometimes they get slammed all at once.
