Seems like a really popular diner, rightly so. It was packed, but we didn't wait long for service or our food. We got stuffed shrimp & a Reuben sandwich. Both were good. The Reuben came with Cole slaw & a pickle. My husband asked for bread to go with his [crab] stuffed shrimp - I was surprised that they had bread, and just how good it was. I use to love to get takeout dinners from here, especially the Turkey. Always wonderful and neighbors next door would always ask me to pick them up some as well. This last time, several weeks ago, I ate lunch there - very good - service from waitress - very good. I ordered two turkey dinners to go. Had them that night. First they forgot to include the cornbread (third time) also forgot to include the creamed corn (also third time). We were very disappointed overall with the turkey dinner this time. Normally 4 or 5 star. Called in an order for curbside pickup like I've done almost weekly for the past several months. When I called from the curbside, I was told that they were too busy to bring the order out. When I went in, there were 3 employees at the counter and only 1 customer. I was told that my order was still in the back so walked away from the counter. A minute later I noticed a couple of orders on a table. When I started to check if one of them were mine, one of the employees rushed over and said that one of them was. The boss must have been off tonight. read more

Went to this Diner on Thursday . Was seated and waited awhile for a waitress to come over . We placed our drinks and appetizer order . We ordered cheesy fries with a side of gravy . The fries came out drenched with gravy . We explained to the waitress that the appetizer ordered is not what was given . She said and I quote "that is how it comes" took our app back all mad and left . I ordered the Turkey Meltdown and asked that the side of gravy that it comes with be on the side not on the sandwich . It comes out with no cranberry sauce on the sandwich and no side of gravy . French fries were cold and tasted old .I ask her if I can have both . She came back putting a bowl of gravy in front of me plopping it down so hard it splattered , still no cranberry sauce . I asked about the sauce and she said she would have to go "all the way downstairs " if I wanted it . I said I did . Now I ate half my Sandwich waiting and she came back and said they were out of cranberry sauce . When I am three quarters into my sandwich she brings cranberry sauce !! . Never received a refill , didn't ask if we wanted desert and brought the check . The check had a gravy charge on it for my sandwich . I explained it comes with a side of gravy . She disgustedly took the bill, speaks to a coworker who kept looking over at us then came back with the correct bill . While this is all going on , the busser washes a table next to us , sets it then places dirty glasses back on the table (see picture) . We visited and had outdoor dining. We had a chicken barbecue sandwich, a children's chicken finger dinner and a chicken Panini sandwich. Everything was delicious. The food was fresh and hot and delivered with a smile. Our server was exceptional. She was very sweet, attentive and competent. The tables and chairs were very clean. Menus were paper. They gave us separate packets of ketchup so we weren't handling the same ketchup bottle that others might have been using. The outdoor tent provided a very pleasant dining experience and it had no walls which provided good ventilation. We finished up with a brownie à la mode Sunday for two and vanilla ice cream for the little one. Everything was delicious we would go back in a heartbeat. read more

The wait staff is excellent and they work very hard, however I've been so disappointed in the owner's lack of concern regarding preparing gluten free meals. I have celiac disease. I cannot eat anything containing gluten. If french fries are fried in the same oil as breaded chicken I cannot eat the fries. I ordered a Turkey club sandwich and since they told me the fries were cooked in oil that also contained bread crumbs I said no fries please. The plate came with French fries. The diner was busy and I told the waiter I would not be able to eat the sandwich because the fries were on top of the bread. He said fine he would have them make me another and took the plate away. He returned in less than 5 minutes which I thought was strange, but I trusted him when he told me it was a new sandwich. I picked up one part of the sandwich and a french fry dropped off of the bottom. I was so upset. I asked for the owner who didn't want to hear how dangerous that is to do to someone with celiac disease. He insisted it was a new sandwich! He even wanted us to pay for it. So no we have black lined the Red Line. Do not eat there if you have celiac disease. read more

They always find a new way to disappoint me. I called and ordered wings and asked how many come in a serving, the lady said 12. I also asked for ranch instead of blue cheese. Got home and I had 9 wings and blue cheese. I wouldn't have payed $14 for wings if I knew that. I called too and the guy pretty much said yeah that sucks. The only reasons I did not give a five star rating is the outdoor patio was not open. A nice evening and it would have been the perfect night to be outside. Also the location is nothing special. Located off a four lane highway. My wife ordered the barbecue pork cheese sandwich with excellent sweet potato fries. I had the Mac and cheese pork sandwich. Forgot to take a picture, but it WAS A ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! They made in with peaches and a great vanilla custard. Not your standard stuff! But excellent! While I was visiting the Hudson Valley from California for a month, I ate it there, ordered it out and brought it to others, gathered more fans.. AND THEN they switched it up! WHY? They made it in more of a traditional format, kept the peaches but dropped the custard. Still good, but not nearly that previous recipe. Why do people always mess with something great, gain followers, and then let them down by changing something from perfect to good? When I first started ordering from Redline - the food was great. Now there are so many inconsistencies with them. Don't know if maybe they have inexperienced chefs or what is going on but 2 weeks ago I ordered kids Mac n cheese and it was legit homemade with the breadcrumbs and everything. This time they had the nerve to give me Kraft macaroni and cheese. To top it off they gave me the smallest portion for over $7 . I called and the woman at the front desk, who then proceeded to tell me , " no the homemade one would be a side of Mac & cheese not the kids version. I am from out of town and my family treated me to this shiny diner. At first it was a pleasant hello and drink service from the host and Jesse. We sat outside at a safe distance between tables under the huge, white tent decorated with AstroTurf, string lights and potted trees. The ambiance was peaceful. There were a few honey bees that floated around, but we made it work. One of the owners came out to greet a couple across from us, then I asked if he could take a photo for us. It would have been nice if he said yes, or where are you from, or even that he was happy to do it, but he had the busy host take the photo. I went inside to wash my hands, and at first I was impressed with the indoor décor, but it needs updating as a seat was torn and there was trash on the floor. The ladies' restroom smelled awful like a sewer, and the stall walls were not cleaned properly. I finally chose the best one that had white hand prints in it. I like their hand dryers though. Our new waitress was Nicole. I decided to order breakfast. My enormous sweet potato pancakes tasted too earthy. The syrup was just fine. The big bowl of mixed fruit was just OK, a little old, and had a raisin in it. My over easy egg was overly cooked. Nicole forgot to stop and ask how I liked my food. She was nice, but a bit stressed when my family pointed out something that she wanted fixed. Later, Nicole did do as my family wished, and she was very sweet and apologetic. The patio started with to fill up and got busy. This was one of my family's favorite places to eat. I felt bad that she had made excuses for this place. I may try something different if they want to come back, and only because the waitstaff was pleasant. I hope you have a better experience than I did. read more

I always get good food with fast service but the extra charges really bothers me. You order a burger for $10/$12 they charge you a extra $4.25 to make it "deluxe' just for a small amount fries. Such a cheap move for a popular place to nickel and dime it's customers. Of course I want fries with my burger, this is America! (joking). Just charge $2 more for burger and fries so it doesn't feel like a obvious upcharge ripoff. Oh yeah, if you want cheese its an additional $2.50. We were staying at a hotel across the street and decided to stop by the Red Line Diner for Sunday brunch. This diner is super cute with a retro chrome and red look. The inside space is huge with ample seating. Our group of 8 showed up at noon and we were quickly accommodated. It felt like once we were seated the Sunday rush showed up and they were packed. As expected, the menu had a multitude of options. Our server took orders for the table and we had a wide variety of orders ranging from waffles, omelettes, fried Mac and cheese, to a french dip and a Ruben. My one recommendation is that they bring water for the table upon arrival. I had the Ruben and thought it was pretty good. The consensus across the group was that everyone was satisfied with their food and portion sizes were large. The check out process was not optimal as our server was swamped and took sometime to bring us our check but otherwise not bad.
