First time in this cafe and it is way roomier than I'd thought. The server was friendly and patient as my friend and I talked way too much before opening the menu. We both opted for the veggie omelet and we shared an a la carte side of French toast. My friend told me the French toast was great- and she was right! The omelets were chock full of tomatoes and spinach along with sauteed onions and green peppers. The omelet was delish and very happily, not too salty at all. That always makes me happy. The home fries were ok. I'd asked for mine to be well done. There were several burnt bits in with the few crispy ones and limp slices below that. They had marmalade for my whole wheat toast, that's always a plus! Several cups of coffee, and lots and lots of talk later, we left full and happy. A great place for nicely priced meals for dinner when you want a nice home cooked meal but don't want to cook yourself. Every meal has been delicious and very filling. We've been here a few times. We recently just moved closer, so we will be coming here much more. They have a GREAT selection of daily specials and their prices are pretty decent. The service is a bit slow there, but oh well, it wasn't too horrible. The food is home cooked and actually so delicious. This little restaurant sits literally in the end corner of the Weis shopping plaza in Red Lion. I really did not expect much at all. In fact i all most changed my mind. I ordered french onion soup. It did not have a lot of cheese on it. The flavor held its own and i would order it again. I also ordered a seafood quesadilla. I was surprised on how good it was. I have spent the same amount of money at others places and got less content and flavor. The server was honest and realistic. she told the true about questions i had on the menu.i think the rest of there food is good. There menu is not over kill and their prices are in line. We used to eat breakfast here fairly regularly and it was always good. I have to wonder if someone else took over the restaurant, because the food is not what it used to be. I understand about the staff being short due to the pandemic, but the menu isn't as clever as it was and dinner selections were not good. Almost 3 tables were not cleaned and employees were standing there doing nothing. The food came fast but wasn't that good. The Burger was dry, the bun was as hard as a rock, and the fries were soggy and pretty much raw. My boyfriend got the wings and he said they were good but extremely messy. read more

The interior is nice. The waitress...actually the only waitress when I took dad in today, (06/29/2019). She told me the steak she supposedl had last might and it was great. So I was well I will try it medium rare. The first time I came out was well done. I asked if it could be re-made and she threw a fit. So the second time she brought the steak it out it was so rare and it looked like it was just thrown on the grill turned and takin off. After I cut off all the fat I asked her if they could put it on the grill for a minute on both sides. With the restaurant being practically empty her voice echoed throughout. When she took it back to the cook she told him two minutes on both sides. I got up and went back to the kitchen area as far as I could to her and said no I want it for one minute. When she brought it back out to me she basically threw it on the table and said that she did not want to see me in the restaurant ever again. And said it so loud that the other customers that they come into the restaurant we're looking at my dad and I in our booth. She even pointed out a couple that are regulars and says it out loud and they never have problems here. I asked to see the manager. Now during this whole time I did not raise my voice I was talking to her on a regular time and was not mean at all. The manager came out and I explain to him what all happened and that I wanted to ask her what your medium rare is at this restaurant. I explained everything that happened and I told him how she was embarrassing my dad and I in front of other people within the restaurant. I will night take my dad or anyone back to this restaurant again. The manager was nice and said he will talk to the waitress about her customer service and manners. read more
