My father and I decided to eat here on Christmas Christmas Day, which we were grateful that they were open. Our server was very kind and attentive, and the quality of the food was on par with what you would expect from Red Lobster. I ordered the garlic shrimp, scampi, and roasted asparagus with mashed potatoes and all of the flavors were solid. The cheddar biscuits that they bring you when you sit down are definitely the star of the show. Haven't been to Red Lobster in at least 15 years but we received a gift card and decided to give it a try. Wednesday evening, arrived and were told 15-20 minute wait-- restaurant was fairly empty so I knew immediately they were short staffed. We were seated within 10 minutes, but waited at our table for another 10 minutes to see a server. Drinks-- took another 10 minutes, we ordered and that was the last time we saw our server all night. Food was delivered by a woman (manager?) No one checked on us, no refills offered... glasses empty. We had to ask the woman for our check.... No one came back to take payment... waited almost 15 minutes before we took the bill to the bar to cash out. I'm actually giving a five star review to Red Lobster, well this restaurant earned it, I dismiss the struggles and challenges this brand is experiencing and its doubtful to most that this chain of restaurants will recover since their issues are complex and I call "BS" on the excuse that their struggles began after the losses incurred by the "AUCE" shrimp fest, at some point some bad decisions were made by the executive management team and that's where the turn around should start. I arrived here around 7:00 PM on a recent Friday night expecting a wait even though I was dining alone - I decided see if I could grab a seat at the bar which is just around the corner from the lobby - to my surprise there was not one soul sitting at the bar so I grabbed a seat at the end thinking the Friday night crowd would start arriving at any moment, well that never happened. It's been a very long time since I've walked through the doors of any Red Lobster Restaurant and with all the recent store closures I thought I maybe would enjoy a few of those "cheddar biscuits" before they disappeared forever. I was greeted by the very friendly bartender Tayler F., she really made my experience here enjoyable and provided exceptional service starting with delivering me a basket of those hot cheddar biscuits and a ice cold Voodoo Ranger IPA while I reviewed the menu which has undergone major revisions since my last visit. After looking at the selections and noticing a few missing items that I thought were signature dishes that no longer exist I decided to order an assortment of appetizers - to my surprise Walt's Fried Shrimp is no longer an option here except as an appetizer which you wouldn't know unless you ask. I ordered them which were good but in my opinion are now smaller shrimp and very uniform in appearance - I also decided to get the seafood stuffed mushrooms which seem to have been affected by shrinkflation too and as an after thought a broiled lobster tail a la carte for just under twenty bucks for it alone since I didn't order an entree. I thought all the food tasted great and served hot with a short wait time, as I stated before the service was amazing - I even had some interaction with the store manager who was extremely nice and professional I'd say he is an outstanding leader - this was an outstanding experience and if the franchise could copy this business model they might have a chance to beat bankruptcy - it's always sad to see these iconic restaurants close their door - I'll return my next visit to the area if they survive... read more

I ordered the crab legs new dinner and we 40 minutes for our food to come. When it got there the crab legs were cold, lukewarm at best. The 1 pound of crab legs looked a half pound. I sent mine back however my daughter eat hers. I ordered the Seafood Fettuccine to go. Got it home warmed it up and it had absolutely NO FLAVOR! I would have done better to stop at the store and gotten one of those frozen green fettuccine dinners. It tastes a lot better than that trash!!!!! Will not EVER RETURN TO RED LOBSTER! Sunday dinner, we were quickly welcomed by a smiling hostess. Seated in a booth. The waiter Kyle came right over. He took our drink orders and we ordered dinner right away. After 2 baskets of biscuits dinner arrived. Hot, fresh, flavorful. I know we worked all day but the food was genuinely good. Kyle kept biscuits on the table and communicated without being intrusive. My husband ordered the Walt's Favorite Shrimp, his favorite, and I had the daily special of Lobster Tail and Garlic Butter Shrimp. Both were hot and flavorful as well as large portions. TERRIBLE SERVICE As we entered the restaurant it looked slow .... it was probably because of poor service! It took over 8 minutes to get waited on with a hello & water. not before we ask a roaming server for some attention. the manager came by to apologize for the slow start. I requested the young lady who helped us, but he told us to give our server a try because he's a good guy. We ordered soup and appetizers and it took over 15 minutes to get our soup & apps .... so we called it a night and left !!! The manager should've given us a different server to recover the night. Again, we asked the roaming young lady to find our server so we could get our check and leave that took over 10 minutes. The manager NEVER came back to apologize for the terrible service. Took the family to Red Lobster for dinner as the restaurants we were trying to visit had a 45 minute wait. Upon arrival, there was no wait and the restaurant did not have a lot of people in it. After we sat down, our waitress gave us menus and took our drink orders. Then my neighbors randomly walked by. We ordered sangria to drink along with coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Our waitress brought us some hot and delicious cheddar bay biscuits. I seriously could fill up on those things - they are amazing. Looking at the menu, everything sounded good, but I settled on salmon with a side of mashed taters and a caesar salad. The waitress said they can cook it two ways, grilled and New Orleans style. I opted for Nawlins style. The sangria was a bit on the sweet side, even for me. So after I drank it, I ordered a Stella, which they had on draft - score! Love me some draft beer. The Stella was served ice cold in a frosted Stella glass. Very nice! The coconut shrimp arrived and it smelled great. But it tasted even better. This was the single best shrimp dish I've had since eating Pepsi Shrimp at Wild Mango at Great Northern Mall. It was hot, crispy, and freaking delicious. The coconut sauce was good too. What a dish! Then my dinner arrived. My caesar salad was very good. My salmon was hot and delicious. The cajun seasoning was perfect and the sauce was very good too. The mashed potatoes were excellent as well. My son didn't finish his burger, so I ate it. The burger meat needed to be seasoned. I don't know if they forgot or they just don't season the burger. Ordered 2 orders of Fish and Chips through Grub Hub. Items were missing and it was obvious that Red Lobster had neglected to put them in as the bags were sealed. When I called the lady who answered the phone was rude and said I had to work it out with Grub Hub. When I explained that it could not have been Grub Hubs fault, she became even more rude and hung up. I called back and asked to speak to the manager and she refused saying the "phone in the back is broken". It is now wonder Red Lobsters are closing everywhere, I sure will not order from them again. A year ago, this place was decent. Three years ago, it was pretty good. Now, the famous biscuits were raw in the middle and the lobsters were hiding in the back shadows of the tank. Not out of fear, but out of shame. No wonder we were seated immediately in Montrose at 5pm. The server tried, but she was obviously not trained. Our knives were dirty. My water glass was literally cracked because she put cold water in it right out of the dishwasher. She brought us out our drinks AFTER the main course. The food was wretched. We decided to stop into the Red Lobster in Fairlawn, Ohio, and the experience was terrific this time. The service and food were excellent! We ordered the Coconut Shrimp, and it was perfect. Delicious! Hadn't been to Red Lobster in a couple of years, and so glad we ate here tonight! Food freshly prepared and delicious. The portions were much larger than we anticipated we would receive. Spouse ate the Admirals Feast and had a little left to bring home too. He said fish was well-prepared. I had Salmon New Orleans and it tasted amazing. Perfect seasoning with the salmon and shrimp. I took my wife here tonight, it was her first time every in a Red Lobster. The food was good, no complaints with that. Service was ok but it was pretty busy for a Friday night. This Red Lobster is on par with every other one in the world. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so they must have been short staffed. I ordered the endless shrimp, and I don't know why we did because there wasn't much room for a second go around of shrimp. The dragon shrimp was delicious, the shrimp alfredo was served cold and watery with little flavor, the mashed potatoes were cold and hard. I should have sent it back, but I didn't want to wait. I feel like my dish just sat on the counter getting cold until the wait staff had a chance to actually care to bring it to us. Overall, disappointed. We went to this location two weekends in a row and luckily got the same waitress both times but this time she had some help. This particular time we went to celebrate an aunts birthday. The waitresses were awesome. We ordered and received our food in a timely manner. My son has a seafood allergy so they were very careful with the handling of food around him. They even made him a mini Shirley temple and he loved it. My food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed themselves and at the end of the night, the staff along with the family sing my aunt happy birthday. I hadn't been to Red Lobster for a while and thought I'd give it a try. I wish I had gone somewhere else. The only value in coming here was to let others know about the service. While the server was very nice, the food was below par. It's almost like there's a bait and switch with the menu because the better sounding menu items are at additional cost. This was such a terrible disappointment! To begin, the restaurant was filled to capacity and the parking lot was covered in ice. No one had taken care of the lot with salt, and customers were walking in baby steps to the front door. Once inside, the reservations were confused. I ordered the Salmon dinner with two sides. The Server came back 15 minutes into the wait time, and asked if I wanted a half or whole portion. Strange moment, because my friend ordered the same meal and they didn't ask her the same question. When the meal arrived, I received the tail end of the Whitefish, not Salmon, and it looked old, shriveled up and covered in blue skin, topped with oregano and seasoning salt. The piece was 1.5 ounces at most, and appeared to be peppered, and drenched in water. The side salad had at least a half cup of blue cheese dressing drenched over old lettuce. The baked potato might have been the smallest I have ever seen. It took the server 40 minutes to come back to check on my meal. And once they did, she told me they would check with the manager on what to do about my meal. The manager never came over. No one cared about this mistake, and no one apologized. Since the rest of my table had finished their meal, I told them I didn't want another piece of "salmon" which was the tail of the whitefish, or maybe a piece of some other fish tail. Instead of offering me a free dessert, they handed me a tab for my iced teas. They also suggested a tip of 6.98. This was a miserable meal and I will not be going back. read more

So a few days ago I got my wisdom teeth out, and with it being a Friday during Lent, Red Lobster was the perfect place to go for a quick dinner on a Friday night. There was a bit of a wait, but that is to be expected -- and it was shorter than we were quoted, which is a huge plus! The Food - There were no major issues with our food (besides they forgot to put Cajun seasoning on my pasta, but they very quickly fixed that). The seafood was fresh, and had good flavor. I am not the biggest fan of seafood, so I got the crab linguine, which was fantastic. Since I couldn't have a salad, I got the mashed potatoes, which were extremely flavorful and would highly recommend. Others in the party got other dishes, and they all really enjoyed it too! Sadly, the reason for my 3-star review was the service that we had. We have been here in the past, and have had similar issues, so this is not the first time. First, we had to ask about three times for biscuits (which, if you know Red Lobster, you literally get them as you sit down). The first time we asked for them, she said they were in the oven, and would be right out. We got our app (but no plates), and we again asked for the biscuits and plates. While they were in her hand (and the server that brought the app also had biscuits in their hand too), she again said "oh they are still in the oven I will bring them out when they are out". We were extremely confused by that comment since we were seated right by the kitchen, and many other baskets of biscuits had come out the door when she made the comment the first time. Secondly, our sever did not offer us refills on our drinks, we had to ask for waters, and did not even offer dessert to us. This was my first real meal all week, so I was happy that the food was good, however, the server had an attitude the entire night, and neglected our table. The hostess less us through a server drinks area and when my sister tripped over a glass caddy in the middle of aisle, said nothing and just kept going; there was an easier (and safer for the customer) path to our table. I haven't visited this location in a long time but was in the area and stopped in for lunch yesterday. The waitress was lovely. My shrimp was seriously over-fried, and she offered to have new made. The second batch was better but still over-fried. A manager stopped over later and asked how was my lunch, and I told her what had happened. She offered to have a third batch made, but I told her they just needed to teach their cooks how to fry shrimp. As I stewed about this later, I realized that like much of our society, there is no more pride in work. For most people, it is just a job. Go through the motions, job over. In this case, heat the oil too high, over-fry the shrimp, serve it anyway. Don't turn down the temp, over-fry the shrimp again, serve it anyway. Take the paycheck, go home, end of story. read more
