Went here last week for date night with my fiancé. It was his first time my second. Cheddar bay biscuits are always great but the rest of the food was just okay. Red Lobster makes a big hoopla about their "Endless Shrimp" when they have this promotion and for whatever reason I thought it was a good idea to celebrate my birthday there since it has been a long time since we have dined there (for good reason) so, we did some shopping in the area & had to park in the very back just to walk around to the front and wait in the crowded lobby for 30 minutes as they were very busy on a Friday evening. Once we got seated and the server finally came around, she had a little bit of an attitude from being busy and rushing around. She took our drink orders and came back about 10 minutes later with our drinks. She said they had no apple juice or fruit punch for my toddler, which I find odd since Red Lobster has to have these juices to make their foo-foo fruity drinks that they promote all over. I think she was too lazy to go get it. So, I said I guess Sprite for her and I and when she came back the Sprite was at the end of the tap and tasted like seltzer water. Gross! My husband told her & had it exchanged with Coke. So, strike one. She then informed us the cheddar bay biscuits were baking in the oven. (I think she means heated up LOL!) We waited forever for biscuits, and then the salad and soup come out. We didn't have any silverware so we had to wait on the server to get that too. Finally our meal comes after what seems like 45 minutes of sitting there with a hungry, impatient toddler. The server asked us our next shrimp courses to put it in as "we are down to one oven" Ummm Hmmm, Riiiight. So, as we are trying to eat our first entree, out comes the second crowding our table & then the server must have came buy at least 4 or 5 times asking "will this be all?" It's like, let me get to the first course of my meal first since it's supposed to be "Endless Shrimp" We felt neglected the first 45 minutes of our visit and rushed out the door the last 25 minutes when we got our food and at that point it had died down. On to the food - The shrimp courses are blah. I tried one of each of the four. The garlic scampi is probably the best, but nothing exciting. The fried is fried, the new soy shrimp had a nice flavor, but hardly spicy - more sweet. The shrimp alfredo was mushy and has a slight fishy taste. Very mediocre. So, all in all not a good experience, but I should have learned from my past few experiences at this particular Red Lobster. The servers act like it's a chore to serve you and you feel more annoyed than anything having to wait for things like drinks, silverware etc. that should be brought out right away, not 10 - 15 min later. I go out to eat to not have to worry about anything, but sometimes it's more of a pain than it's worth. read more

Four of us visited Sunday for lunch. Our food was fresh and flavorful. Jermaine, our server was friendly, informative and very efficient. We felt we got a good value for our money. Will definitely return as long as the good experience continues. Visited here again yesterday. Red Lobster definitely seems to be focusing on customer service and improving their food. It was without a doubt the best meal I've had there. Everything was cooked just right! Even the broccoli!! Our server, Justice was very attentive without being overbearing. Not too bad of a wait on a Tuesday night around 8 p.m. It took only about 4 minutes to get the salads and garlic biscuits out. The biscuits were very fluffy and flavorful. A tad dry, but that is the right taste for a biscuit. Our Waiter, Tyler, was very attentive. The main entrees did take 22 minutes. However, it is understandable when there were 14 people ahead of us and being later at night. The tacos with rice and a baked potato were very well made and flavorful. We tried to do valentines day a day early to beat the crowds, but the line to wait was enormous, but with just a short wait we were seated, I never eat there because I'm shellfish allergic, my wife loves crab legs though, so off we went, I had a steak and it was very good, the wife was also pleased, and the carrot cake was excellent for dessert. The server Jennifer was great and the food was good, we will eat here more often! read more

So frustrating! I ordered ahead, arrived 5 minutes before my meal was supposed to be ready. Young lady came out to give someone else their order and told me mine would be ready in 5 min. I got the text saying my food had just finished being prepared. 20 minutes later I went in and found out that the bread was the hold up. Bread, that they told me takes 8 minutes to cook. Got home and had great hot biscuits but my pasta was like glue. My entire dinner got cold waiting for the damn bread. No one wanted to own the issue. Never again! read more

Lexi, the girl who sat us, was very nice and helpful. She was great but i noticed she seemed stressed and she looked rushed and not only was she seating customers but cleaning tables and helping servers out. Then i noticed she was the only hostess working and i understood why she seemed so upset. With that being said, i think it's ridiculous that they would only schedule one hostess because there was no reason she should have been so busy when it could've been much better if there was at least one more person to help out. The service was okay, the lack of help for others working when they were the ONLY one doing multiple jobs was not. I WOULD give 5 stars for Lexi, but i would've gave 0 for the unfortunate management and lack of workers to help out. Workers should not have to work in that type of environment, in my opinion. read more

My apologies for reviewing a chain restaurant, but that's where we ate today, so here goes; Lobster Fest. Yes, children, I succumbed to their massive ad campaign. In six words, the review is; misrepresented, overcooked, mediocre food, served s-l-o-w-l-y. In a gajillion words: We both had Lobster Fest dishes and split them to multiply the whole lobster bacchanalia experience. Imagine my chagrin when the lobster tacos turned out to be shrimp tacos with langostino garnish, and the lady's chagrin when the lobster alfredo pasta dish was similarly 85% shrimp and 15% at best, langostino. Hey Mr Red, if this crap was packaged and frozen and sold at a grocery store, at least the FDA would require it be called "Shrimp tacos", and "Shrimp alfredo." How about you stop misrepresenting and call a spade a spade? And dammit, whilst I am amount of my high-horse, why does a chain that sells 80% seafood not know how to properly cook it? Cook it too long and it turns to rubber, Is Red Lobster trying to single-handedly cause Akron to regain it's once lofty title of "Rubber Capital of the World?" Sigh, I know, it keeps those corporate attorneys happy 'cause the lawsuits are limited to ones having to do with unwashed produce causing salmonella, not from possibly somewhat raw fish products that give you worms. Between our two platters, 80% of the food was overcooked. Broccoli comprised a good part of the remaining 20%. For me, lobster is kinda like sex. Even when it's bad it's good, so don't get me wrong, we ate the stuff. it just didn't make me think, "I gotta get back here before this Fest-thing is over." Then there's the service. When our entrees were served, our waitress noticed my empty tea glass and said she would be right back with another. What I didn't realize was that their kitchen is apparently located in the plaza BEHIND the restaurant, somewhere in T J Maxx's, in ladys undergarments to be exact. And I was also unaware that, being winter, it's way too far to walk to, and our poor waitress had to hitch both ways to fetch the tea. Needless to say the tea returned as I had, literally, four bites left on my plate, long after we had juggled stuff from one plate to another, to share our dishes and conversed, and largely completed our meal. We then foolishly asked for a box in which to put the uneaten shrimp from our "lobster" dishes. Alas, the boxes are kept in the kitchen, so we had an additional ten minute wait while it was secured. When the box arrived, I chipped off the ice that had formed on the leftovers and boxed them. I can hear all the former and current waitstaffers out there cursing me up one side and down the other, but in the words of Sy from Duck Dynasty, "Hey...lookey here" , it was 1:45 P.M. on a weekday for Gawdsakes. There were no more occupied tables in the entire restaurant than there were hostesses in front, let alone waitresses playing foursquare in the kitchen! The wall at my left was all that separated us from the ACTUAL location of the kitchen. So no, it wasn't a grossly overworked crew trying to do the work of ten with five people at hand. My advice? Save sixty bucks and drive down the street to Mickey D's and get a fish sandwich. It's probably been cooked and waiting under a heat lamp for you for half an hour or so, now featuring a half slice of cheese on part of your fish! read more

I give it 0 stars because the food and service was horrible!!! Waited about 45 minutes for our food. When the food was presented to us it was Extremely cold and dried out. I have been here several times and never experienced this. I dont know if it is just the night crew but there are no excuses for sending/ bringing out food that is even horrible to look at yet alone eat. The service was terrible. No one was hardly there today and still we waited nearly 20 minutes to get our check after receiving ICE COLD crab legs. The worst part? Well $10 was taken off which I thought was a nice gesture of the manager as she had to check us out because our waiter went to every other table EXCEPT for us in our face for about the next 10 mins before finding the manager at the bar to check us out. Our total came to $65.74. My friend paid $25.00 in cash and I paid the remainder of $40.94 though the meal wasn't worth that at all. I left no tip because of the poor service and went about my night. Something wasn't settling however. So I checked my account and LOW AND BEHOLD , I was charged $49.13. So that's $8.19 that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. In other words, if your looking to dine here. Please use cash! And as far as my money, I'll be figuring out who thought to do this cute gesture tomorrow. Pure ignorance. And just to be clear, it's not JUST over $8.19 though I do work for every penny I earn; it's about the fact that in the middle of a pandemic, you'd try to take from someone else's mouth not knowing the situation. I usually like this restaurant, but I must warn you that if you make a call in order, you will not be speaking with anyone from this restaurant. I was calling in because I had a sick relative so I needed carry out. I specifically asked if they still had Dungeness Crab available, to which the person stated they did. I ordered the crab combo which came with Dungeness and Snow Crab. I also wanted and extra side of Dungeness, to which I was told they could not provide this side anymore. OK, I just ordered the original with no extra. I drove to the restaurant , waited, then was told they had no more Dungeness. They then told me the call was to a central site for orders and the restaurant gets nothing from them but the order. I told them they assured me they had Dungeness when I placed the order. It was like, "sorry, but it is only while supply lasts." This is part of their crab fest and it was 5:30 on a Wednesday. They offered nothing as compensation, not even a complimentary drink while I waited for my new order. Once I got the food home, I found it underdone and had to microwave it to finish cooking the seafood in it. This is unsatisfactory. read more

I have been here three times. The first time, my waitress was extremely rude. After I asked that my food be made to accommodate my gluten allergy, I overheard her whisper to herself multiple times, "You guys are driving me crazy." The second time I was here, my friend and I ordered to go over the phone. I arrived on time, and the waitress brought out half of my order. She apologized and said she had forgotten the other half and would be right back with it. Twenty minutes went by before she came back. I was under the impression they had forgotten to cook it. The third time, I tried to order to-go over the phone, around 8:45 p.m. The restaurant is open until 10. I was told they stopped taking to-go orders over the phone around 8:30/9 (reminder-it is 8:45), but that I could come into the restaurant to order to-go. I asked to speak to a manager, as this policy confused me. I was met with rudeness and she explained that the reason is to minimize waste at the end of the night due to call-in to-go orders that do not pick up. I assured her that I was very hungry and would pick up my order, but she insisted on staying "consistent with their policy", which is nowhere in writing, to be clear. I will never spend money at Red Lobster again. Three strikes, you're out. read more

The moment we walked in, it smelled AWFUL! Like cleaning solution mixed with sewage and bar towels. We should've left then.... We were seated in the bar area, where our 20 something waitress was not busy. However, she walked right past us, without even acknowledging us, multiple times. When we finally got to order our meals, they were out of "brown butter". It was the main ingredient for my entrée! She offered to sub it for some soy sauce, I declined that, so she offered garlic butter which I chose, but again, we should've just left. She then brought us our pre-meal salads that were so weak! They were served in these big cereal size bowls that made them look even weaker. The waitress laid them down & walked away, nearly running. The bowl was about 1/4 fill...with lettuce....I promise you Red Lobster, cheaping on the salad will not save you $. The meal itself was Eh. When the manager came around, checking on the tables, I told him I wished there was brown butter, he laughed. He came back a bit later, told us he took $5 off our bill, because that's what "brown butter" costs....um...okay...that seems pricey for butter, no matter what color it is. In conclusion, we paid about $100 for 3 people's meal, 1 appetizer, a glass of wine, and will never go back. Ever. So disappointed! read more
