I went here for my wife's birthday this week and we have always had a wonderful experience, but this one stood out. Even after moving to New York, with it's millions of amazing dining options, I still get really excited about Red Lobster. Service was a little spotty this visit. We didn't get their famous biscuits until the salads came and we asked the server. Croutons were on a salad that was supposed to be gluten and dairy free. A few sides were incorrect. What a terrible Sunday afternoon experience here at the local Red Lobster. Not only is the company struggling I believe the local Red Lobster here is failing. The service level has decreased over the past few visits. Post today's experience with their floor manager and wait staff we will never be back. First the waiter seemed a bit scattered and had hard time getting order accurate. He was gone for 5-10 minutes before addressing out table. Then we ordered our meals. The meals did not come out as ordered and there was a second attempt to get meals right in which salads that were not ordered were delivered, the table next to us got the wrong entrée. Fast forward to floor manager coming to check on our table. He asked how things were I paused and said just ok. He asked if there was a problem with the food. I said no problem with the food. The waiter did not get the order right at either our table or the one next to us. The kitchen cook time with fewer than 20 people in the place was over 30 minutes. The manager looked back and asked again about the taste of the food. I said food fine again this is a service issue it was poor. He looked at me with a disgusted smirk and simply walked off. An efficient manager rather than walking off pissed should have spoken to the poor service which was my compliant. Instead this floor manager walked off like he was pissed at us and had nothing to say not even an apology for an off night. My wife and I decided on the ride home that we had our last experience this time at Red Lobster. I suggest others choose better places to eat and let the Red Lobster continue to slide as it has for many months now. read more

The staff here is very nice. The place is never too crowded, even on Friday nights when you can't get a parking spot within a 1/2 mile of the rest of the chain restaurants in the area. I really like getting a lobster, and then they "stuff" some stuffing in the body cavity and bake the already-cooked lobster for a dollar or two more. It's quite messy and takes a while to eat, but delicious as well. Everyone raves about the salty/buttery biscuits. They are pretty good I must say. But if you listen real carefully you can hear your arteries clog & harden with each one you eat. Bad for your developing case of hypertension as well. But what a way to go! read more

Yes, you serve seafood. Yes, lobsters live in ocean. And yes, ocean water is salty. But lobsters should not be salty as ocean water! If this is because you cannot preserve seafood in the midwest without using excessive salt, please don't serve it in the first place. I would rather not having this ocean-flavored dish to increase my risk of getting hypertension. read more

Ok, this one is my most visited restaurant except for chipotle and penera. I have been to couple red lobsters and this one is above average. I always ordered the grilled salmon with potato and broccoli as sides and they are very nutritious. I also always ordered the oysters and considered being in Midwest the quality of the oysters is good. read more

It's fine as long as you don't want to go on a game night. They'll make a reservation for you on those nights but they won't guarantee them, which negates the whole reservation concept. They don't care if it's a family dinner with out-of-town relatives as long as they get their drunken rowdy sports fans. As for food, I've been fine with everything I purchased in the past. Keeping in mind this is located in the midwest so the food won't be as fresh or tasty as some other red lobster locations, the food was pretty average. I've been here three times and I can say now I don't think I will be coming back just because the price does not match up to the quality of food you receive. However, the service is amazing here. Really excited to go to Red Lobster as an adult because I had never been before and am a HUGE fan of seafood. Their biscuits were delicious as everyone and the TV let me know and I still think about them sometimes when I really want something seeping with butter. However, the main dishes were so-so. I couldn't help but to think, "... Where did these shrimp come from?" It makes me slightly nervous to ponder. Just like Texas Roadhouse, come for the biscuits and you'll leave happy. read more

No. But it's good given the location and I'll take Hoosier hospitality over the HK-style service of nearly tossing the dishes on your table and the "I can't be bothered by you peons" attitude of Chinese servers in LA any day. read more

My boyfriend and I recently went to the Bloomington Red Lobster for dinner on Valentine's day. To be honest, we would have preferred to go to one of Bloomington's local gems, but a gift card is a free meal, and that is too good to pass up on a college budget! First of all, the location of Bloomington's Red Lobster is ideal for students and townies--it is close to the College Mall Road City Bus stop, but also a convenient drive taking interstate 46 or 45. There is plenty of parking, which makes its corner location a-ok. The service was excellent. For a stressful Saturday night rush, the front of the house handled the impatient, hungry customers well. There was even a very unusual situation that the front of the house was tested with--a domestic dispute! My boyfriend and I sat waiting, and we witnessed the unhappy couple yell and scream profanities at each other. The manager was quickly called, and she was very expedient about resolving the situation for the other patrons, making the couple leave the building. She proceeded to apologize to all of us who were waiting for the ugly scene, and stayed outside until the police arrived. It was an ugly situation, but the employees handled it the best that they could. Our table's waiter was also an example of attentive service. She was knowledgable about the menu, never let our drinks run empty, and delivered our food promptly. When we at last made it in the restaurant, we were seated at a booth with high sides, so as to create more privacy than there actually was. To my surprise, there were quite a few families with small children eating dinner that night as well--why do parents take their kids out to eat at 8:00PM? Aside from that, I thought that the chill music playing through the restaurant created a pleasant atmosphere. The waiters keep the dining room clean and are attentive to their tables. It was a pleasant dinner for two. For my entree, I ordered grilled salmon from the "Catch of the Day" menu. I like this menu because it offers two portion options: half or full filet of fish. I ordered the half portion, which came with two sides as well as a salad. It was just the right size and cooked mostly well, but there was a corner of my filet that was charred to a black crisp. Other than that my food was served hot, and it was served with good timing in proportion to the salad. Also, there are new side options since I've last been to Red Lobster--I tried the roasted vegetables, a mix of artichokes, zucchini, and broccoli and was impressed that it was an option. To drink, I had their Boston cranberry iced tea, which I admit is my favorite item offered on Red Lobster's menu. All together my meal was filling and tasty. The ticket for all of this was reasonable, but not necessarily worth it. Like I said, we had a gift card, and I wouldn't have spent that much money at Red Lobster any other way. I would say that the average price per menu item is around $10, but it could range as high as $25. Also, the drinks are $3 each, and many of the side orders charge an extra $2 or $3. It was date night, and it was money well spent, but we made up for the commercialism by ordering the desert from a local Bloomington eatery. All in all, my experience was great, but not worth more than three stars because of the other Bloomington dining options. read more

The restrooms are clean, and the place as a whole is very nice. The food is great, but the whole meal I was thinking about how mashed potatoes tasted just like those I buy at the store. These guys know what Customer Service means! Red Lobster has always been one of our favorites - especially "All You Can Eat Shrimp" time, but the Bloomington, Indiana location goes above and beyond. Last year a group of about 15 of us went down to celebrate our son's birthday. The waiter was fantastic and management kept stopping by the table to see if everything was okay. This past Saturday (10/17/15) at about 4:30pm, we made our annual tradition for my son's 21st birthday. Guess who stopped by our table? The waiter from last year!!! I made a comment about "don't they give you a day off?" and he laughed and said "Wednesday." (I didn't catch his name, but he is very tall). I mentioned it was my son's 21st. Meanwhile, our waitress (sorry, forgot her name too - paid cash so no receipt), was ON THE BALL. That girl worked her tail off. In addition, two managers stopped by to check on us and wish my son a Happy Birthday! We never had to ask for anything, the gal was just on top of it all. To top it all off, they gathered around the table with a "cake" made of whipped topping in a dip container and candle and sang to my son. What a wonderful experience! I want to thank everyone that worked that day, from the hostess, the waiters, waitresses, the management and the cooks. You guys made us feel like one of the family. read more
