After going on the app to get on waiting list 40 minutes later we checked in and told the wait was 30-40 minute wait after 40 minutes they called my home phone . I went back and asked what the hold up was . We were seated no silverware Ordered an app . app came no drinks no plates to put the app on. Drinks came specifally asked for tea with lemon .NO LEMON NO REFILL.our silverware came. Finally was able to get a refill on ice tea ask for lemon no lemon . ordered refill on shrimp no cocktail or tarter sauce . Last month for my wifes birthday ate at Red Lobster in the villages we had salads with our meals .Now salads are extra . So i ordered rice with my meal .Our waitress took my rice and plate but left the stack of dirty dishes .Reorders took forever and were wrong . finally bill came and it was wrong . They did not take off the app which I had given her our code finally got the new ammended bill paid still left 18% despite the horrible service .No manager stopped by so I could explain my concerns . STAY FAR AWAY . The one in Sarasota closed I now understand why will not be returning to any Red Lobsters in my travels . There is a reason these companies fail . Shame on you . The service was not great a little on the slow side. They were out of several things like lobster macaroni and salmon. Food took so long to get it was cold when it arrived. Visiting from LosAngeles on business, I was on my way to Outback Steakhouse but told the Uber driver to pull right in to RL! When I entered I was welcomed by the hostess and Manager. Once I got seated, my server walked up shortly Maria J! S-U-P-E-R-B! She was on the spot and took great care of me. Food came out hot, which means she didn't for get to check on it. As chain restaurants go, we know not to expect much from Red Lobster but my last visit to this place really finalized it for me. I was either late for lunch or early for the early dinner crowd because the place was virtually empty. The young guy at the front desk greeted me cordially enough but when I stated since I'm by myself, I'll just sit at the bar, he started to argue with me!! He said he had perfectly lovely tables in the dining room and I should choose one of those. Are you kidding me? I'm your customer - I'll tell you where I want to sit, especially when the house is empty. I said again I'd just like to sit at the bar and he sighed, rolled his eyes and said, alright then, come on. He walked me into the empty bar and said something to the effect that I could choose my own place to sit, since it was "empty." The waiter screwed up my first drink order, then disappeared when I ordered a simple scotch & water. Ten minutes later, here comes the same front-desk guy holding 2 glasses, one with what perhaps was a straight shot of scotch and the other with ice cubes. Do you want this, he says to me. What? I ordered a simple mixed drink but obviously this entire scenario (me entering the restaurant, choosing where to sit, ordering a cocktail) was far and away too much for this young man to handle. Absolutely horrible business. Ordered a DoorDash pick up order from here, immediately when I got home I noticed I was missing half my order. The manager who I spoke to said he would issue me a refund for the items I wAs missing and never did. It's now been 1.5 weeks since and I haven't heard from or received a refund. I placed an online order for delivery. No big deal. I had an available reward from the app so, I redeemed to add to my order. You are given a message to redeem the code within a specific time or you forfeit your reward. I finished my selections and proceeded to checkout. There was no place my reward was displayed added to my order. there was no place to add the redemption code for my reward. There is not enough space in their "special instruction" box to add in useful information in less than 40 characters. Silverware is not included when you place an order to pick up or delivery and there is no place when you are placing your order to add silverware. There is no place within the app to add extras like extra sauce even if there is an additional charge. SO, I place the order and then proceed to call the location that will be delivering my order. You get the recorded message that there is more than usual wait times. Understandable due to coronavirus. So, I am on hold for almost 10 minutes. Finally, someone answers. I begin to explain and OOps, gotta transfer you. So, I wait....the next person answers and begin to explain......and she interrupts me constantly. She gets an attitude because I am taking so long and then boldly stated if you would stop interrupting me I could tell you what is going on. So, she puts me on hold and supposedly goes to another phone. She does apologize and I begin for the 3rd time to explain. OOPs, gotta transfer you. So, finally the 3rd person who is supposed to be a manager finally answers the phone. I explain AGAIN what happened. She then interrogates me where did I place the order through door dash, uber eats, etc. I said none of those I place the order through the Red Lobster (your company) app. And then she proceeds to blather on about no that their staff doesn't do deliveries and on and on. I then cut her off. I said I placed the order through the Red Lobster app, I explained about the reward that I had earned through the Red Lobster app and that she should simply go into the app for herself and see what I am talking about before she tells me I didn't do this and didn't do that. I had just placed and had an order delivered through the Red Lobster app yesterday and had no problems. And yes, door dash did the delivery. But, all that is the companies drama not mine. I simply want to place an order, pay for the order, have the order delivered, and enjoy my order. Training in customer service is very much need through all levels at this location. Especially the managers! Updates to the app for special instructions need to be modified. If you want extra sauce, butter, condiments there should be an option to be added to the order. Rewards should not only be listed in the current order but the field to enter the code for redemption should be added. Very disappointed with this experience. I would rather go somewhere else than have to be degraded and unprofessionally spoken to. My order just arrived lets even see if it is correct. I don't have high hopes at this point. To whom it may concern, my name is Trev and I'm a regular customer of the Bradenton Red lobster. I'm in there normally 3-4 times a month because I love the food and the service that I get when I'm there. Today was the worst service I've ever experienced in all of my life, I walked in and wanted to be seated at the bar because the bartender normally takes care of me and I leave a hefty tip. The bar was close for whatever reason and it wasn't a problem. The hostess seated me to the back of the restaurant far away from anyone and I didn't like it but again not a problem as long as the food and service is good I'm good. I sat and waited while the waitress and the waiters looked me in the eye and no one thought to ask or even acknowledge me waiting to be served. 5 minutes later I saw the unthinkable happened. I saw 2 ladies walked in, got seated, and immediately a waiter was raking their order. That's not right is what I was saying to myself so I immediately got up and stared to leave the restaurant. As I was leaving I stopped to the hostess both and I saw the guy that sat me in the back of the restaurant and I said to him ( I wished you didn't seat me in the back of the restaurant because no one came to serve me. The manager was there and she heard my complaint. She said I'm sorry none came to you but I can seat and serve you now. I said to her I'm sorry mam but I'm very upset and I left. Okay, we finally went to Red Lobster. Wife and I had been threatning to go. Pleasantly surprised. Sat at the bar-only ones there. Ordered pinot grigio for both. This was the big snag-$7.99 for house wine. Okay. To the better part. We both had the family feast-soup, salad, entree and dessert. Wife had the mixed greens salad. Very good mix of fresh lettuces and tomato. Good dressing. My caesar was overdressed but passable. Soups were hot and creamy. My wife had the salmon- a $2 surcharge. My wood grilled shrimp were plentiful and properly cooked. Sides of pilaf and broccoli were unremarkable. For the cost, not a bad meal. Oh, my!! Forgot to mention the cheddar cheese biscuits! I will start by saying I love Red Lobster, it is one of my earliest memories of seafood and very consistent. This past Thursday March 31st if I am correct on the date my wife and I went here after many other local places have closed that serves king crab legs. On the Fresh Fish menu at Red Lobster I ordered the king crab legs for about $32. While they are consistent I must say they should not be on the Fresh Fish menu, they are discolored and while they are okay and edible and really not too bad for the price they just do not compare to #1 king crab legs which you will find that most of your higher-end restaurants. Red Lobster is clearly serving # 2 king crab legs The service was great the food was as expected but the moral of the story is if you want great king crab legs Red Lobster is not the place, other than that, Red Lobster is eBay very consistent restaurant. Service was good. Waitress was pleasant. Food was so so. My wife and I went in for some lunch around 1:30 and had the Monday Early Bird special. She had the Shrimp Linguine with Alfredo sauce. I had the Lighthouse Garlic-Grilled Shrimp. She had the Clam Chowder and I the Lobster Bisque. Happily, the chowder tasted like chowder! Better than most we've had at other restaurants. Lobster Bisque was just okay. Was missing its staple--the Lobster! I have made Lobster Bisque the correct way, with real lobster pieces. A creamy BECHAMEL and good tomato paste. Appropriate spice and NO FREAKING SALT. there was too much salt in it. Sure I know, you have those bags of custom made lobster bisque and all you do is heat and serve. CHANGE THE RECIPE or cook it fresh daily. Want my recipe? Ask me for it. We also had Caesar salads, which upon examination had slimy stuff on wilted lettuce. I would look at what I am serving and would not serve slimy wilted, rusted lettuce in a salad. If there is anything I cannot stand is when you get a salad and you find a bunch of brown edged leaves with dressing over it to cover it. It is unacceptable, and not healthy as it means the Romaine was not washed thoroughly and most likely was in a container in a cooling bin rather than a covered and sealed bucket or container in the walk in. At 1:30 in the afternoon you are past your lunch rush so that is where it should have come from. No need to have prepped salad in the bins. Clearly the salads had been sitting for quite a while. My wife would not eat her salad and the food server (who by the way served up the salad, wonder if she has a certificate?), brought her a fresher bowl, me I picked out my spoilage and put it on a plate and showed it to her. She said she would report this to the manager. The Shrimp Alfredo was quite tasty. I do have a small issue with the grilled shrimp on the Garlic Grilled Shrimp... OVER COOKED. The shell at the tail should pull away from the meat easily not stick like it was glued to it. OVER COOKED.... heat was too hot. Now to the broccoli. COLD. For that matter the whole plate was just warm and not hot. Could be the server or the cooks fault but I blame the manager on this one, no one tending the orders. The restaurant was not very busy at that hour, many empty booths and tables, so one would wonder what happens during a busy dinner time at this location. The hostesses were very friendly & we were sat at a tight table but it was a Saturday so the restaurant was a little busy. Our waiter was nice but very soft spoken (could hardly hear him...or maybe it was just extremely loud in there). Went for the crab fest. Walked in and asked to sit at a booth in the bar. The hostess said the bar was full- which clearly wasn't true there were numerous booths available. I thought perhaps they were short on wait staff so we got seated in the dining room. The menus were greasy the silverware roll I was given had dirty utensils inside. I ordered a Premium gin and tonic and the drink came back tasting weird. I thought perhaps it was the tonic so ordered a second drink on the rocks. It still tasted weird like it was watered down! It wasn't terribly busy and our waitress tried hard but forgot numerous things we had to ask twice too often. The plates were wet and the overall feel was it was dirty. My husband and I have been saying we were going to eat at Red Lobster and never get around to it. Well, we enjoyed our whole dining experience. Our server LaDonna was extremely attentive and our food was very good starting with the appetizer of stuffed mushrooms, then Caesar salad and then onto the Crab fest meal which was great. I don't eat at Red Lobster often but I was craving coconut shrimp! We went to this location and sat at the bar. A very nasty bartender was complaining about absolutely everything. If you hate your job that much just quit!! It took her 10 minutes to take our drink order and she had a complete attitude when I asked her about drink specials.
