My family and I have had Mr. and Mrs. crab at a different location north of Tampa and decided to try out the Bradenton location this past weekend. We ordered a variety of items, including the king crab, shrimp head off, lobster, mussels, sausage, and also added extra potato and corn. We asked for our food to be prepared with the blend of all seasonings and to be made spicy. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The seafood tasted very fresh and the food came out sizzling, to our liking. I seriously cannot express how delicious the meal was and we definitely ordered over ordered but we're so happy with the variety that we got. Additionally, the service was very good. Our waitress even surprised us with a bottle of seasoning to go! I can't wait to come back!

I started with the blazing hot crawfish which were priced less than the average appetizer. I then went with the combo meal of blue crab, shrimp and sausage: It was very good. There are two issues for the those who are aficionados first the crab size was too small. Second the crabs were freshly cooked and did not sit in the garlic sauce overnight. But these are fine points The atmosphere is buzzing as you walk in. Happy hour is from open to 5 PM and from 8:30 - 10 which is closing time. The staff is very chill and friendly despite the looks. You will see what I mean. Changes to set meals are fine. The pricing is not outrageous. It's not cheap - you are ordering seafood!

10/10 recommendations for the Mr and Mrs crab sauce! So yummy! Can't wait to go again. The peach tea drink was not to my liking but the Crab-a-Rita was good! I got the mango flavor. The server was knowledgeable but not many options for my vegetarian husband. Maybe they should add rice, and noodles to the menu and more veggies. Perhaps take it up a notch with tofu or something. He ended getting just fries, boiled potatoes, corn and eggs.

As usual, everything was awesome. Our bartender/ server was also amazing. The only disappointment was the raw oysters were small, but tasty

Was a thirty minute wait to get in on a Friday night and place was packed with music so basic but nice ambiance. Service was quick and efficient thanks Steven. Enjoyed the 1/2 lb of calamari and 1/2 lb of snow crab legs , potatoes and corn would get again. Only reason why I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is the cat fish nuggets tasted a bit fishy otherwise I would have given 5 star review.

This place is fantastic! Can order from baskets to broiled food in a bag. We also ordered appetizers, lobster bisque soup and garlic bread with cinnamon butter. Waiter was ver tentative to our needs. They definitely have military discount here as well for those that are veterans or active members. It is awesome to know that if you take your broil home, because you can't finish, you can be able to reheat it over a boiling pot of water for 10-15mins and you have a fresh meal again.

    Food is real good

Does anyone recommend this restaurant? also when is the best time to go, I do not like waiting very long. Thank you.

We went on a Friday night at 6:30, with no wait. Saturday seems to be a bit busier! You can make a reservation online.

As we wandered about looking for someplace for dinner (the place we had intended for the evening was maxed out with one large party, so needed to look elsewhere) realized we just happened upon a place we had driven by a couple of times called "The Doctors Office". They had a beautiful garden area outside where people were dining, but it was a pretty warm night, so decided to check out the inside - where we found a really cool space and were greeted by the host asking: "Do you have an appointment?" (Get it? Doctors office...reservations...appointment!? Too cute a play on the doctor's office thing! : ) Well, we did NOT have said appointment (and the main dining area was quite full!) but thankfully there was one table remaining in the back lounge area, which was through a hidden door made to look like a bookshelf! This area also had its own cool vibe. Waiter (Matt) immediately placed two little medicine cups in front of us - to sample their cherry rum punch. Delish. I ordered a cocktail (cannot recall the name but along the lines of a manhattan) while my DH stayed with red wine (boooooo-ring! ; ) We shared the smoked salmon appetizer (super yummo!) Then on to dinner. OK, we're talking seafood country here! But, over the course of the several days we've been here, I ordered seafood every single time. I adore seafood but was ready for something else. So, was being realistic when I ordered something on the beef realm. Got the short rib dish and it did not disappoint. It was excellent. Maybe not the "easily shredded with a fork" ones I have had elsewhere, but certainly super tasty and not at all tough or fatty. DH got the shrimp-lobster tacos and said they were incredible! No leftovers coming home with this guy! Our waiter, Matt, was new to this establishment (but not waitering) and was attentive and personable - above and beyond. Would highly recommend. No, you're not going to get any water views (this place is sort of hidden away in an obscure spot behind a plaza) but well worth the visit!

I feel like the drinks used to be a lot more creative from what I saw on their socials and from what my friend said who went back in the day it used to be more of a speakeasy elevated cocktail vibe versus a tiki/dive bar vibe. We had to ask for the chips that are supposed to be given complimentary and then we ordered bread and soup which literally took an unnecessary like 30 mins or more to come out as we watched the people on both sides of us get their full meals before us when we got items that just had to be reheated. The tomato soup was very good once it finally came out, the rolls were good but nothing as great as the hype in my opinion for the menu. The drinks were good but honestly the starter shot given at the bar was my favorite which was a hibiscus Pom margarita which I ended up getting fully as my second drink. Service started out hot but then went downhill but that is unfortunately the standard of when gratuity is already included in a check. Then when it came time to pay it got weird when there was a simple mix up when my friend intentionally overpaid even with gratuity involved in her check and the bartender asked her if she wanted change and she said yes but never brought it back. My friend gave 3 - 20s on a $38 check (gratuity) already in but she wanted to tip a few more dollars because she is a very generous person and then when she asked about her change that's when it got weird and the bartender made it seem like she didn't understand why she wanted change instead of just apologizing for the mistake and they went back and forth for a few minutes with the bartender ending up just giving her the extra $20 back. Just left a weird taste in our mouths for the experience when I feel like any bartender would understand what she wanted to do with giving extra larger bills to split especially when she said she wanted change and it was a massive overpayment or if the thought there was a very generous tip like 30% would make sure with guest that's what they want and show appreciation if that were the case. It was just weird how it all was handled. The decor was on point for Christmas and the vibe was very casual but oldie vibes which makes sense for it being in Anna Maria island.

The menu - though not expansive - offered a fish, a steak, a chicken, a pasta, a burger, wagyu meatloaf, salads and several other options, appetizers, a full bar & wine. The four of us were very pleased with the food, service - and live music (guitar/singer was excellent). Overall experience, 4.8 stars out of 5. For that, we'd definitely return. However - the parking experience was a fiasco. Given this was our first visit, my husband circled the hotel/restaurant twice as the clogged pull-in area was full and there was no valet in sight. Also / no signage to direct us. Finally - my husband opted to pull into a reserved lot behind the hotel/restaurant and temporarily parked as I sought someone to direct us.... I walked past the valet "station" - nobody there (perhaps busy with other guests) and I headed to the restaurant to request assistance with parking. My husband followed shortly as he found the valet and asked if ok to leave the car - the male valet handed us a parking placard and said he'd take care of it, no problem. Ten minutes later a young lady valet approached our table - telling us she dug thru my glovebox to find us - asking if we realized she could have us towed. Beyond rude. We attempted to tell her the other valet had checked us in - but she continued down a shaming diatribe at our table - telling us how folks park back there illegally, etc. When we asked to speak to a manager, the young lady valet informed us that her company was a third party and she was not employed by the restaurant so our dissatisfaction with her rude & threatening behavior was nothing the hotel or restaurant manager could do anything about.... Eventually she walked away /her nasty attitude intact - and the male valet squared things so we could enjoy a lovely dinner. When exiting, no valet in sight again, we waited at the pull-in area where two other couples stood next to cars asking us where they were supposed to park or find the valet. Another couple were standing next to their car asking where the valets went, waiting for their keys to depart. Fiasco. Time for a better valet system! So Wink Wink gets a 5 but the valet is a big negative. We live here year round and there are too many options in Sarasota to deal with a valet threatening to tow us at our dining table.

The ambiance is polished compared the dive bar scene in the surrounding area. I tried the "Do No Wrong" which calls for: Mezcal, house made orgeat, lime, habanero tincture, mint, nutmeg. I made it known to the bartender that I don't like the excessive sweetness that sometimes orgeat (almond) syrup has in drinks so he could adjust that for me. The drink turned out nice with the crushed ice they use for it and I'd try it again. Also tried the "Chai and Chill" which based off their website is: "Warming spices with chai and espresso, complemented by creamy vanilla and a hint of cinnamon -- smooth, aromatic, and cozy for winter evenings." Being that it's winter in Florida and my smelling sense isn't the sharpest at the time, I wasn't able to appreciate the aromatics in this drink but I'd say it's a balanced creamy drink, perhaps I'd ask for more espresso based liquor in it if I had it again or good for you to know in case you want to make sure that it carries enough coffee flavor for you. Located between the edge of where the resort pool ends and where the beach begins. It's sits on the 2nd floor past Riva as you head towards the beach. The lazy river is right below Oshen. We stopped by here after breakfast at Riva on our first day just to check out the stunning space. They open daily at 4-10pm so it was closed when we stopped by but still open where you can check it out in the open space. There's a bar in the middle and lounging seats and small tables surrounding the bar. We decided to sit at the edge with the perfect spot of the beach. The perfect spot to watch the sun set. We sat and chilled for a bit enjoying the view and amazing breeze. Came back for dinner around 6:30pm. Wanted to secure a nice spot to watch the sunset. Many of the lounge seats were taken as these are mainly first come, first serve. Then they start putting "reserve" signs on the tables. We opted for a nice spot at the bar overlooking the beach. Not perfect but good enough in the shade with a lovely breeze. Our bartender was Liam and he was very hospitable. He welcomed us and was attentive the entire duration of our dining experience. Thanks Liam for the awesome service. Here is everything we ordered: * Borodino Fizz $23 * G Sake Gek Black Gold $11 * Tuna Ceviche $25 * Chicken Teriyaki Bowl $25 * Wagyu Lomo Saltado $36 * Hamachi A La Brasa $28 We ordered cocktails to start. Hubby had sake and I got something different, Borodino Fizz. My drink was "a bold and bubbly mix of peppercorn-infused Cor Cor Japanese Red Label rum, coconut shrub, fresh lime, and spicy ginger beer. Tropical heat with a zesty kick." Surprisingly good. Not what I usually drink but I liked it. Food was exquisite and presentation for everything was on point. I asked for Sriracha and Liam introduced us to their homemade Kimchi Sriracha. Oh em gee!!! So delish. They basically mix kimchi in Sriracha and it was amazing. I'm totally making this at home. Ha. TUNA CEVICHE: nikkei leche de tigre, cilantro, onion, crispy corn, quinoa furikake, shrimp cracker. Flavors were great but not a ton of food. Loved the crispy corn, quinoa furikake and eating the tuna on the shrimp crackers. WAGYU LOMO SALTADO: wagyu striploin A5, crab salad, avocado, lomo saltado sauce, crispy sweet potato. Damn good!!! Lots of good texture with the crispy toppings, don't even know what it was. Haha. Great combo of flavors! CHICKEN TERIYAKI BOWL: edamame, seaweed tempura, sesame seeds, sushi rice, quinoa furikake, daikon, carrot. We don't usually order chicken at a Japanese restaurant but this seemed the heartiest out of everything we ordered. It was a good portion and the sushi rice with the chicken, edamame, veggie shavings and white corn was just enough. HAMACHI A LA BRASA: torched hamachi, anticucho sauce, baby gem, snow crab, chimichurri, garlic, scallion. We were still a bit hungry after eating the other 3 items so decided to order something else. We only had breakfast so we were hungry. The hamachi had so much flavor and hit the spot. Really tasty. All in all, Oshen is a wonderful dining experience between the incredible views, cocktails and fresh sushi options. Service is amazing, as only expected with the whole St Regis luxury level of service. Beautiful space with good eats! Go see Liam and tell him we sent you.

If you're looking for something a bit gentler, the mocktails are surprisingly good and feel more thoughtfully balanced. I haven't tried the food myself, but I've consistently heard positive things, which makes me curious to come back. Where Oshen really struggles is service.
