I never go to Red Lobster, but I met up with some friends from work for a late lunch/early dinner. I ordered from the choose two menu. I picked the garlic shrimp skewer, and the crabmeat stuffed sole. The meal came with salad, rice, and a choice of vegetable. I chose asparagus. The meal was excellent. The food was fresh, hot and prepared in a timely manner. The service was very prompt and the waitress was very very helpful. We ere there at 3:30 on a Thursday, so the place was practically empty. Haven't been to a Red Lobster in many years, but ended up here last minute on a Sunday night. The server was great: attentive, quick, gave suggestions when asked, etc. 5 stars for that. Biscuits were not as good as I remembered, but again, comparing my teenage and college year taste buds to now is not fair either. Can say the biscuits were hot and fresh. 3/5. Not worth 160 calories each I feel, since you end up having no room for your main dish. Had the seafood combo of shrimp linguine with Alfredo sauce plus the garlic butter shrimp with a side of steamed broccoli. The shrimp linguine had very little taste, just seemed like butter, shrimp were very small and unseasoned and the linguine itself was sticky and a bit cold. 2.5/5. The garlic butter shrimp were better, with the garlic sauce saving my linguine from being desert-dry. Received 12 medium-sized shrimp, which was a very generous portion. 3.5/5. This dish only comes with the shrimp in the garlic sauce in a small plate, so a side with it is important. Unfortunately, the broccoli had absolutely nothing on it, and was also dry, as if it had been steamed a few hours prior. 1/5. All in all, it's ok, but I'd much rather go to a local seafood stop than this chain, so won't return on my own unless dragged with family! read more

After COVID, things drastically changed at Red Lobster, the prices went up and the portions went down, the menu/deals changed and the service sucked..if I am a paying customer and make a complaint to a manager..you as the manager are not supposed to argue with me or try to down play my intelligence level! I came here with my Dad on Sunday before a quick trip to Trumbull mall. This Red lobster is good! Definitely to standard or above. You are greeted and seated right when you walk In. For the time of day the restaurant wasnt too busy. We got a nice window seat and our waiter was very friendly. One complaint I do have is that the restaurant was extremely dark and cold. The lights were so dim I felt like I was inside a hollister or something . The coldness is probably more to do with the temp outside, but you definitely do get a feel that they are trying to save on electricity. The food was really good! Can't explain how I feel about our recent experience but we basically got robbed by our waiter after paying our bill we left and after walking out the door we realized my husband left his phone. We went back to the table and the phone was gone but our dirty dishes was still there. We pinged the phone after calling it many times know it should ring. Long story short it was found in the "trash" when we all know customers leave all there trash at the table lol our waiter go nervous and trashed our phone because she knew her manager would check her lol after 17 years of dining at red lobster we will no longer be regulars and that breaks my hear because we loved that place. read more

Saturday, June 24th....Firstly, let me say that the quality and serving size were exactly as I expected. This is not Jimmy's, Turks, Stowes or certainly any of the higher quality places. You get what you pay for. I was not unhappy with the food. Service, however, is another issue. After seating we ordered drinks and a soup. Soup was out, piping hot as requested, in about 3-4 minutes. Didn't see the waitress for the next 30 minutes. Stopped another server and they asked if our waitress still worked here. A few minutes later, our waitress, the drinks came, and she took our order. The order included a Caesar salad, which did not show up for another 25 to 30 minutes. Five or 10 minutes after that, the rest of our food came out. mine was piping hot, my daughters was cold. When I say cold in this case, I don't mean it was out of the refrigerator. I mean that it was far below the temperature at which it should have been served. I got the old story about. It was busy in the kitchen was backed up. Funny thing is that two tables away. Three people came in well after we did an all receive their food before we did. Everything we ordered was fried food. Quickest thing you can make. Put it in the basket put it in the fat take it out and serve it nothing like cold broccoli that won't even melt the butter on it. I have take out 7-9 times from here and something usually goes wrong. either an entree, side, drink or dessert is missing or they give me something else. As I've gotten older, and my palette has matured (debatable and depending on who you ask- haha!), I've realized that Red Lobster is the seafood version of Olive Garden, and it's actually not really good. Most of the food is pre-prepared, canned, and/or microwaved. Who knew you could do that to, or with, seafood? Not a huge fan of chain restaurants and the employees they tend to hire, but for some reason my parents are so we went there on Easter Sunday a few weeks ago around 6pm. The wait wasn't too long. The hostesses were friendly and helpful. When we finally sat, the waitress came over, I think her name was Alyssa. She was attentive and was continuously smiling which is refreshing. Our food was good. I had shrimp tacos, don't really remember what everyone else had. No one had any complains. Oh, the biscuits were very tasty. I had forgotten how yummy they were. We sat at a table in the back, close to one of the P.O.S. Systems. I wish that the waitresses didn't meet and socialize there. It was pretty rude and annoying since we were trying to enjoy our meal and company, but instead we were forced to hear their obnoxious conversations. But whatever, who cares about the guests anyway. I went to the ladies room, and was instantly disgusted! The restroom was a mess! (I understand that Easter is a busy day in restaurants but there is no excuse for that.) I waited until someone out of the 1 stall that I hoped to be clean, and one of their kitchen employees got out of the stall. I was happy that it was an employee because I figured it would be clean since she freaking works there.... NOPE. it was disgusting. Like as if this woman peed all over the seat, and didn't flush. There was toilet paper everywhere. It was more digesting than a porta potty at an NFL game. So dirty! Needless to say, I didn't use the restroom and lost my appetite instantly. For a Red Lobster, this one is the most crowded one I've been to. I have yet to go when I haven't had to wait at least 40 minutes to be seated, and that's even for an early dinner (4:00p or so). The plus to this is the fact that the restaurant is located in a plaza with other stores, so a lot of times I'll go look in a store for 20 minutes and come back. Helps kill the time. The customer service is terrible. I am a gay female. My girlfriend and i went to this establishment today Aug 3rd 2019. We were seated, We sat, Talked, I got up and went to the restroom, Came back to my table and noticed that we were not seen by anyone yet. I asked my girlfriend if anyone came by to wait our table and she said no. So we sat there for a few more moments, We already knew what we wanted. Another couple or sisters came in and sat down. The ladies were older than us but they were seen immediately by the waitress that was supposed to wait our table first. My girlfriend and i sat there for literally almost 20 minutes while the waitress that was supposed to take our order continued to pass us up as if we weren't even there. No one besides the lady that seated us even acknowledged that we were there. We didn't even receive a cup of water. We are not going back here. We felt as though this action taken against us was some sort of hatred and discrimination that the waitress was feeling towards us because of our sexual orientation. Anyways I went to go dine out here and ordered my food, ended up waiting over 40 minutes for a burger, and when it finally arrived the waitress was being awful, serious attitude problem, maybe because she overheard me and my friends talking about the long wait time, not an excuse for how she behaved though. When me and my friend asked for a refill for our drinks she agreed and left for over 20 minutes!! "Now maybe she's just busy" is what I was thinking but then I see her making drinks for other people and I see the juice I had ordered for a refill already done and just being left there on the drink counter. When I finally get her attention and tell her to forget about making the drinks (because she wasn't bringing them) and for the check she goes, "oh but the drinks are ready, I'll bring them", finally bringing the beverages but the ice was already melting. I tried to do something nice for my mother for Mother's Day I ordered red lobster thinking that their to go option would be organized and ready for their customers. I went to pick up the food around 2:00 and there was over 20-25 people inside in the lobby/bar area. No one was following the 6 foot rule even though there was tape on the floor but the staff wasn't doing anything to have order in the restaurant and for social distancing. I waited over 20 minutes to get my food that I ordered online and paid for and when I said something to the worker about how everything inside was disorderly he told me that if I didn't like it to go outside and wait for my food. I told him that I waited over 20 minutes in line to get my food and I moved to the side where I saw that there was no one standing by. About five minutes later they gave me my food but I have to say that was one of the scariest moments that I've ever had in my life being surrounded by so many people on top of you some without masks on and no one at the restaurant making sure that people follow the guidelines the state has ordered. I am completely disappointed in red lobster and how they handled the situation knowing that people were going to go on a busy day. If i would have called the police they would have been fined for having so many people at once. read more

The manager told me she was sorry and told me if I could she would give me a smoothie if I would like. I thanked her and went there, and picked it up. Nice right. Then I order again and part of the meal was missing. I called again she then again stated sorry, and that I could choose 2 sides and a desert. I was like wow. She stated she would put me on a list and I can pick up when I was able. So now I'm off and called again- just to make sure. I spoke to another manager who stated I wasn't on the list, and told me to call the next to speak to that manager, and then told me it was up to Grub hub to issue a refund. I got upset and told him just to forget about- cause I knew this was going to happen. The bad reviews are all from selfish self hatred people. I sat next to a couple who wouldnt stop complaining about a waiter helping them. They sat there with a menu still open. I went to red lobster as a date with my boyfriend and for my first time I was very happy the food wasn't bland it was really good actually. And the Cesar sale was delicious and a very nice size. Most restaurants give very lousy salads in size but this one for me was awesome and their salmon and steak, savory. I hope to go back soon!!! read more

We've always loved Red Lobster & are never disappointed, every dish is cooked to perfection & so very tasty, every time we go, I have the same thing the grilled lobster tail & grilled scallops which are simply scrumptious! they're not a meal but you can add them to a meal, but I make that my meal with a side & I'm totally good! my husband has the sirloin & our friend had the sirloin w/grilled shrimp & they were just perfect!! this restaurant is simply the best!! in every way, the service is fantastic! & so are the prices!!
