The food was excellent. The bill with a tip already on the it, and being sneaky with an additional tip spot- not cool. We were two people and would have given a bigger tip if one was not already on the bill. Mr Crab made a strong drink for my husband and my non alcoholic strawberry daiquiri was a nice change from my regular water or soda. To start off we shared a lobster bisque. Minimal seafood in the soup but what they had wad good quality and the creamy base - delicious. My fried shrimp had a nice thick breading, plenty of shrimp, good tarter sauce and coleslaw. My fries I prefer crispier. My husband went with a lobster tail seafood boil. The tail itself was on the smaller side but packed with meat. Minimalist spot with good food!

This is my first visit here. Others in my party have been here before. I am giving it a 4-star because the service was a little slow especially with the drinks. Even the second round of drinks was slow. Maybe they were short staffed on a Wednesday night. However, the drinks were good. The seafood platter and the lobster salad were repeaters from others. They really enjoyed both dishes. The chicken teriyaki looked over sauced. The lobster roll was delicious. A good place for mid-week dinner.

We've been hearing how great Mr Crab is from so many people and finally checked it out and yup, they are right! What a hidden gem. It's great comfort food and the seafood boil was finger licking flavorful. Service was friendly and ambiance was fun and lively. Can't wait to return and endulge in the near future.

First time customer for take out. I live so close and delivery was about 40 mins after order received. Ordered the fried oysters, lobster mac and cheese ( based on others glowing reviews) and coleslaw. Fried oysters were hot upon arrival-tasted fresh-battered perfectly. Pretty good. Great tarter sauce. First bite into mac and cheese-which was also hot- I was not blown away..kind of a strange taste..not at creamy, dry noodles, but I forged on. Found maybe at most a Tbsp of lobster-all in miniscule cuts, which were so dry and rubbery that I could not even say it was lobster. Definitely some form of imitation seafood-or dyed horribly old frozen lobster. Did not look or taste like lobster. Prices exorbitant but I was willing to pay the additonal $11.00 add on for quality, fresh lobster. I did not get that. Coleslaw was decent but would not return for this. I will not be frequenting this establishment and would not recommend.

My friends and I got the seafood boil, which was our first time trying it. It was a good price and they gave a decent amount of seafood. Their crab seemed to be frozen because it was hard to get the meat out. The veggies in the boil were fantastic. Especially the corn! The clam chowder and lobster bisque were also great!

Happened to be seeing a show in the are and needed a place to have lunch with the family. We happened to find this place that was not too far from where we were. We went on a Sunday they were able to sit my large group of 13 people. We ordered drinks to start. They have unlimited drinks for brunch but they also have a variety of cocktails. I ordered the drunken gummy bears cocktail and the Honey comb. Both were really good! For food I ordered the clam chowder soup, which I liked that it was not salty or too heavy. And for main course I had the Connecticut lobster roll and it came with fries. Good portions, the lobster roll was fresh and the fries were seasoned. Pamela was our server and she was so friendly, patient with our group and very helpful. She was the best and made our experience the best. I recommend this place. They can sit large groups, have really good seafood and awesome drinks.

The price was very affordable which was amazing when I saw how big the portion was. Let's just say I have food for days now. I was very pleased at how delicious everything was. Service was great and the staff was super nice. The clam chowder needed a bit more pepper and it was a little sad when I heard the staff singing happy birthday because they sounded miserable. Those were just a few things that may need improvement but iverall I'll still give the place 5 star because I had a great experience.

    Lots of seating.

This place was not bad at all but we just stopped in for the first time for Apps in the afternoon so I do not know how they are at night. We had no wait and our food came out quickly. I say this because in a review or two I noticed people talking about the service being slow. It really wasn't when I was there. And everyone seemed friendly as well. I just got some wings and they were pretty good for sure. I plan to go back and maybe this time for dinner. I really did not have all that much to eat but I posted what I could. I like the atmosphere as well. It is casual but not to the point where it fels to casual..if that makes any sense. Anyway..it seems like a fun place. And the prices made it really worth it as well. It was a good choice and one I hope to repeat as I would like to try other things on their menu.

It was delicious! This time, I reserved a table for four, including guests who were up to an adventurous evening. The place was hopping! A Friday evening fun atmosphere and a beautiful bar that reminded me of a Paris restaurant. We were seated at a great table with banquettes in a corner of the front dining room. Our waitperson was excellent- energetic, informed of the menu, friendly & interactive, I believe her name was Shamira. We received great recommendations for dishes on the menu accommodating certain preferences. Following Cocktails - from the usual order of Scotch, to the " Crimson" spicy, indeed. The "Wanderer" imbiber said she could sip them all night. I, being mostly just a wine drinker, ordered from the "unusual wines" - a delicious white wine from Languedoc named "Picpoul De Pinet, Feline Jourdan", which paired very well with both courses. Based on my enthusiasm we all shared a bottle with our Main Course! Total alignment. We shared Caesar salads, which were excellent. Everyone enjoyed their selection of a main course: Halibut with corn risotto, Shrimp & Grits with spicy red sauce (just right spicy), My dish was Mussels in ginger & lemongrass red Curry, paired with grilled bread for soaking up that sauce, Yum!; a Whole Red Snapper with Mole sauce for my husband - most adventurous diner of the evening! We stretched ourselves to order two desserts: Crème Brûlée and Goat Cheesecake! Sublime. On departing the Restaurant, we were thanked for dining by the Proprietor, Wesley. We had an inspiring conversation about Bridgeport's future. A memorable evening.

It is located right next to their beautiful nursery and plant shop, and it's a really nice spot to grab lunch and then browse around for plants before or after. I ordered their crab flatbread, and the first thing that surprised me was how generous they were with the crab meat, mixed in with cabbage and charred asparagus. The asparagus had a nice char and flat and the cabbage added a nice crunch and texture. The flat bread itself was a little crunch which was interesting and I love how it wasn't overly heavy or rich. The flat bread came with a side salad with really fresh greens. It was so fresh and crunchy that my 9 year old son stole it from me and proceeded to devour the entire salad himself. Also, the setting is what really makes Terrain special. Being surrounded by plants and greenery, with the nursery and shop right next door, gives the whole experience a very relaxed and inviting feel. It's the kind of place where you can easily spend a little extra time after lunch wandering around and looking at all the plants and other items they have to offer. Our server was friendly although it was slow at times but we figured out it was the coffee bar that was slow. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch there and would be happy to return again when we are in the area.

My bf enjoyed his shakshuka but he wished there were more slices of bread to have it with. My fried avocado benedict was unique, but I discovered the fried avocado was supposed to replace the typical enligsh muffin, which I feel like was still necessary. We ended the meal with the chocolate terrarium which was so cute and the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area!

We came for brunch on a Saturday. Food was excellent. I had the avocado toast with smoked salmon and perfectly cook over-easy eggs, others had the frittata, and the French toast. We all had Bloody Marys too. They tasty and just the right amount of spicy. The kiddies had pasta (off menu, thank you for accommodating, Artisan) and the delicious pancakes with the works: cream, chocolate, and chocolate. Wow. They enjoyed their food, and the adults enjoyed theirs too. The service was excellent--no empty water glasses or coffee cups. And the lead server had a great way about him. He even concocted a special orange soda-like drink for my son (whom we were celebrating). He loved it. They made the event extra special by giving him a little treat (an amazing s'more-like desert) for home. He devoured it and even said that he wanted to come back for his birthday--just to get that desert! The ambiance is same as it ever was: understated elegance. It was a pleasure to dine here.

We had visited the bar here in Southport back in June and it's beautiful. Beautiful outdoor area to sit as well. Menu looked so awesome here when we visited back in June that I couldn't wait to come back for dinner. There were three events going on this past Saturday. As mentioned, ambiance is stunning at this hotel. Driving up - gorgeous property. Charming. Unfortunately the food doesn't quite match up to the ambiance. Moving on, wish we knew November offered "No corkage fee November" to start. Nice offering for the month. Food - Waitress brought me gluten free bread which was very nice. I got the Cioppino for my entree. Not much going on with the dish. Had a few mussels, maybe 4 SMALL pieces of chorizo chopped up, maybe 4 SMALL pieces of shrimp chopped up, a few slices of potato, and a piece of Monkfish on top. It's almost like they ran out of seafood!! They didn't skimp on onion though. The dish was swimming in flakes and flakes of onion. I can't really have onion so I was piling the onions on the side of my plate. They were excessive. There wasn't much there for $40. My boyfriend got the salmon per usual with the cauliflower risotto. He enjoyed. Not much to report there. I have heard good things about L'escale (restaurant at Delamar in Greenwich) so still went to check that out. Maybe it's just an Artisan thing I don't care for. We shall see. Parking is tricky here. Both times we got lucky and found a spot somewhat near the front, otherwise not sure where else you park.
