The other orders were waltz shrimp which had a lot of fried shrimp and large wonderful french fries. Total bill was $75.47 for three of us ! If you like to drink they have this margarita flight for just $13.99 and it's three regular cocktails ! It was too early to drink otherwise I would have had it. We went here on a weekend in the afternoon, the wait was pretty short. Even though it wasn't real hot outside yet (low 90s), it was uncomfortably warm inside the restaurant. We later overheard someone else complain to the server and they said their AC had been broken for several weeks. I don't know the details, maybe there is a shortage but something to consider. I ordered the shrimp skewers and grilled sea scallops which was good. However, we ordered chicken for our kid and it was undercooked and still pink inside. It's particularly bad when food is undercooked for children. The server was attentive and got it prioritized in the kitchen. Today we had a very disappointing experience at Red Lobster. We arrived with three kids and were served biscuits that were hard as a rock. We were not given utensils or plates for the bread, and when we asked for plates, they were dirty. We ordered appetizers for the kids to keep them busy while waiting for the main meal, but the cheese sticks took about 35 minutes to arrive, and after waiting over an hour, our main food still had not arrived. Meanwhile, customers who arrived 20-30 minutes after us were served their meals right away. My granddaughter even put her head down on the table asking why the food was taking so long. The restaurant only had about 5-6 tables occupied, so it wasn't busy, and it was also very hot inside, as if the air conditioning wasn't working. To make matters worse, the manager was cleaning high areas near the ceiling while customers were dining, causing dust to fall around the dining area. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience. Went to Red Lobster last week for the first time in a long time! We were seated right away and the service was great, our waitress was on her second day and she was fantastic! And now the to the food, I ordered the boil with crab legs, shrimp, lobster tail, potatoes and corn Crab legs legs were great, the lobster tail was so small it should have been thrown back, potatoes were supposed to have the small red skins but there were way too many regular potatoes , the corn was great! My to-go order was handed off to someone else (who obviously didn't place the order). It was scheduled to be ready at 8:45pm, I arrived and it was not ready, the establishment itself closes at 9pm, shortly after I went in and checked on my order and was told by the young lady at the bar that because of one of the items on the order it would be a bit longer and she would bring it outside to me. The moment I saw her, leave for the night I knew something was off. I went in a little before 10pm to see why I haven't received my order and it was determined that someone claimed the order and took it a while ago. I was told by the manager on duty (C*i**y) that I would get a refund and the order remade the next day. When I called the next day to initiate that process a different manager would not fulfill the promise made to me. Irregardless of seniority, if a member of management made a promise, then every member of management should work to fulfill it. If this is not the case, then either managers should not be make fickle promises, or there should be a re-evaluation of who is allowed to be a manager and what standards they should uphold. Ultimately this is not only a matter of lack of communication, but also negligent training (or else I would have received the order that had my "unique" name on it). Cr**t* told me that the young lady at the bar who was responsible for handing out to-go orders was new; that is no excuse. If you assign someone the responsibility of handing orders to the correct customer then no one should be able to "verify" that this was their order. None of the staff mentioned the issue , so I guess they are used to it , they may even have it turned off to save money ? But the restaurant wasn't overcrowded and the noise level was manageable. Everything started off well with the well cooked tiger shrimp cocktail, delicious mussels, Caesar salad, and biscuits. The bottle of wine we wanted was not available so we ordered cocktails instead. The watermelon margarita and the mango martini were both very sweet. Tonight I went there because I had a Veterans Day free meal coupon, and I was pleasantly surprised! I sat at the bar, which was clean and well stocked, and was immediately greeted by the bartender. I ordered a cold adult beverage and she took my coupon and got my order in. Within 20 minutes I had my order, piping hot with a generous basket of biscuits. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. One of the worst dining experience we've ever had was at this Red Lobster. They sat us down around 6 PM. They took our order around 6:45 after taking everybody else's orders around us, even though we were ready since we sat down to order. It was just the two of us dining and our order was not complicated at all. When they brought us out our order. There was no butter to go with the lobster and we had to continuously ask for water refills. It took the server 20 minutes to bring butter after I asked for it. By that time, I had already finished the meal and didn't even need the butter anymore. There was no way that the servers or any staff tried to make up for how poor the service was. Not even an apology by staff was offered. No free dessert or discount or anything for just how terrible the meal went. We obviously did not tip and we always tip 20% every where. I felt bad not tipping because I believe it's important to always tip but this was just such a bad dining experience, I would never come back here. BACKGROUND: Aside from my work at my family's businesses, this was my first "real" job during my later years in high school and early years of college. STAFF / SERVICE Aside from the apathetic host, our waitress was great. She is the reason why there's two stars above. Oddly one of the biggest differences I remembered was how in the past if anything came out of the back to the customers, no matter how small, you'd always bring it on a small or regular sized tray. When I asked for tartar sauce, it was brought out by hand. Strange. Otherwise we were professionally checked up in an not too obtrusive manner and got exactly what we asked for. FOOD I ordered their endless shrimp special. I wanted to keep it reasonably healthy so I could eat a lot of their grilled shrimp. It was passable as I remember, but drowned in more butter than I remember. I finally after so many decades of hearing from friends how great the Cheddar Bay Biscuits are/were, I wasn't impressed. Back in the days we baked fresh sourdough rolls which I pounded on breaks with free soda because they were that good. These things were overly buttery and semi-doughy. We came in at a little after 4pm on Saturday when there were only 2 other tables there. We sat at the bar and the bartender was awesome. Unfortunately, she left shortly after and Chelsea came on and took over for her. I ordered Cajun Crab Legs, and the food came shortly after Chelsea took over. She came over about 5 minutes later to check and make sure everything was ok. I asked her for a side of Cajun Butter considering that I was given regular butter to dip my crab in. She looked at me disgusted and asked "You want more butter", to which I replied yes so I can dip my crab into it. She then told me that I already had butter, they put it on top of the crab before serving it. I again explained that the butter was on the crab shells and I would like to have some on the side for dipping. She left and was gone 5-7 minutes, then came back and stated that we can do that but it will be an additional $2.50 for the butter. I was appalled, you are going to charge me for the Cajun Crab Legs then charge me for butter, all while embarrassing me and passing judgement on me. Let me be clear I don't expect a wow experience at Red Lobster; however, the restaurant was so incredibly dirty that I do not want to go back to this location. We walk in and there are dirty tables everywhere from them not bussing them. The floor was littered with trash. I wanted to take a picture but there were too many people eating and ignoring it. The other people ignoring the trash on the floor were the staff and management. I watched them just step around the trash rather than bend over and pick it up. We eat seafood a lot and have tried this red lobster a few times. It's not the best and not the worst. Most recently I tried one of the new dishes. The salmon and Brussel sprouts bowl. It was supposed to be sesame soy flavored but the salmon was bland. Cooked decent but no flavor. The rice pilaf was ok. A little over cooked as well. The Brussel sprouts were good and had a little sweetness I liked. Overall decent meal just needed more seasoning. Think I will try a few more of the new menu items. Very poor customer service this is my second time visiting this location and the host staff is very unwelcoming and that's sad the first interaction has to be such an unpleasant spirit. We walk in and we literally have servers and host walking past us like we are not guest waiting to be seated. 1st and 2nd time this has happen. Then they eventually after several minutes walk up and say "oh were you all wanting to be seated" like really what else are we there to do. There was hair in my son food the first time and the manager was very apologetic and fixed the issue. So I am in favor of giving people second chances and this is my community so I want to support the restaurants in my community. I ordered delivery from the Red Lobster website tonight, at 8:15. I received my order at ~10. The poor DoorDash deliver person was apparently waiting at Red Lobster for 30 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready. And when I received my order, my "lobster tail" was basically the size of two small shrimp. The crab legs and sides were good, as were the biscuits (though cold). If you're ordering delivery or to-go crab legs, they do include a cracking tool, but scissors are quite a bit easier. read more

I have attempted to dine here on 3 different occasions. I have never made it into the dining room. Tonight I walked into a waiting area full of diners. Once we reached the hostess we were "informed that she was wanting to be transparent " that the wait time was at least 30 minutes and that they were terribly short staffed to the degree that once we would be seated the probability of receiving any quality of service would be doubtful. It was the same story the other 3 times we attempted to dine there. I understand staffing is an issue but why is it that the other 3 surrounding establishments are staffed well enough to serve patrons. This seems like poor management or a toxic work environment. Not being someone who regularly goes to the large chain restaurants, mainly because they aren't around in the Portland city center and because I don't have a car to get to the outskirts of the area. I just don't go to that many especially since there's so much good food around. But, I was down in Texas and my father's wife is selective about where she eats. Fish is a safe option and Red Lobster has plenty of options for her. I hadn't set foot in a Red Lobster in at least 20 years. It's very different, but they still have those great cheddar bay biscuits. The menu had many familiar items although the prices have gone up some, but a free meal is a free meal. There was a crab leg themed menu going on with some crab boil specials going on as well. Not a bad option for a rather impressive amount of food. I got a plate with crab, shrimp, mussels and scallops in a tomato garlic broth. It kept me occupied for quite some time. Really great service and our food was out fairly quick. The salad wasn't as impressive as the meal itself but more of the biscuits were welcome. You know, this meal was pretty good, I'm sure I'll have to make my way back to a Red Lobster a lot sooner that two decades. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars was that our server was excellent, attentive and sweet. When my friend and I first walked in, the manager Mary (we asked for her name!) Said she'd be with us. A larger set woman said she was waiting for an employee to come to the front (despite several employees being at the desk). We overheard her make a huffy comment. Then at the table they didn't offer a glass with the beer and when they brought one, it wasn't frosted. Again, we overheard them in the back say "OH MY GOD!!" I'm not normally a big seafood person. I like shrimp, salmon, and I'll eat the occasional tuna fish sandwich. That's about the extent to which I seek out seafood. But, "endless shrimp" is amazing so my girlfriend and I decided to visit the Denton Red Lobster for our 3rd anniversary. All in all, the experience was a positive one with a few little issues. Strangely, one of the issues popped up almost immediately. We gave our order and couldn't help but notice that the place was quite warm. Uncomfortably warm in fact. This is Texas so there just isn't cause to use a heater very often, but that's almost what it felt like. Issue number two came with the first course of our order; the salads. We each ordered Caesar Salad and were both shocked to find it was made with Iceberg lettuce. I don't know if they ran out of romaine lettuce and had to use it as a sub (I'd have rather they just stopped offering it than make it with Iceberg) or if that's just how they make it. But it was not very good at all. The shaved cheese was nice and the croutons were fresh and tasty, but the overall appearance and flavor was just not appealing at all. But that's just the salad. Who cares, right? The bread was delicious so we nibbled on that while waiting for the shrimps. As always, their cheddar biscuits are amazing. Tasty, fresh, warm, and just delicious. The shrimps arrived and any complaints or issues were quickly forgotten. I tried the Teriyaki grilled shrimps and the hand breaded ones as well and even their cocktail sauce was amazing. Normally that red shrimp sauce is nasty at any other place. Not here. Here it was just the right level of tangy and it had an amazing texture. I used almost the entire serving they provided. My girlfriend got the Garlic scampi and enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed mine. I almost never go for seconds, but endless shrimp is endless shrimp so I ended up ordering another plate. All in all the experience was pretty darn good. And I'd go back again for sure... so long as they keep the endless shrimp option on the menu anyway. :) read more
