With its recent remodel, the Farmington Red Lobster is looking pretty snazzy... but service can be kind of hit or miss. We recently went for Crab-Fest and only had a few complaints, mostly when it came to our server. I realize that folks can be having a bad day, but surly and slow service does affect the overall enjoyment of one's meal. Drinks were slow in coming, several neighbors got their meals and appetizers ahead of us, and no bread refill (though, that one is probably for the best, considering my diet. :P). I guess I was just very put off by our waiter's lack of friendliness. I mean, we tried to be gracious guests, so I don't know what made him gruff and slow, but who knows? Food-wise, we all seemed fairly content. While my crunch-fried fish sandwich was decent, I wasn't wowed either, and had to do without ranch for my fries (due to server brusqueness). The lobster pizza appetizer that we shared was pretty tasty, though, and... as ever... the cheddar bay biscuits are the quickest way to my heart. Atmosphere-wise, we went during lunch hours on a Friday afternoon. School has not started up yet, so there were plenty of kiddos with their Moms, which led to some noisy annoyances (omg, kiddo, please stop blowing that whistle), but there was enough of a comfort zone between tables thanks to strategic spacing by the hostess that we weren't in danger of any hearing loss. :) I will say, I very much enjoyed the small river view we had. It would be nice if they could replace that little strip of driveway with a deck for open air seating, but such is life. Pricing was about where I expected. Not super-cheap, but not emptying my wallet, either. True, this was from the lunch menu with smaller portions, but it felt about right for a meal, drink, and appetizer to share. Overall, our town's Red Lobster is a decent mass-market sit down restaurant with a fair price point and a fair menu... sure, there are some service issues, but it could have been much worse. If you're in the mood for fish and pasta (and delicious bread), you'll do alright. read more

After a long drive, hungry and tired, we made the wise decision to stop for dinner at Red Lobster. Fresh salad with very good blue cheese dressing, Maine lobster, addictive biscuits. Yummm. I usually have a great time here, the wait is usually short and the service is usually pretty good to. I can almost find something to eat for whatever mood I'm in. Currently they are remodeling but they're still able to keep up with great service. Our server, Becca, was awesome. She kept up with our table and she had a great attitude. Red lobster is a local favorite if I remember right, a good place to go for a good meal at a reasonable price. It definitely is one of the "fancier" restaurants in Farmington. Here's the breakdown of my rating, I give a star for each section. - Our waitress, La Rose was great. She was super friendly, very professional and took good care of us. She was a positive part of our experience. - The restaurant was very clean! A positive in my book. I always notice cleanliness. Everything was very nice and organized. - The atmosphere and pricing. The ambience is very casual and laid back. It's a really nice place to relax. Negatives: All I really have is how long it took for our food. From the time we ordered till now as I write this has been 45 minutes. I feel like that is a LOOOONG time for a salad and some fish. read more

I was very surprised at their response when I inquired about gluten free options. My celiac disease makes it so that I just eat salad while everyone else gets the goodies. They immediately showed me a gluten free menu, and the manager came out and assured me that she would inform the cook to change his gloves, use all the cross contamination preventatives, etc. I ate well that day and didn't suffer a bit for it. It was nice to not have to go to Durango to find a place that serves true gluten free food. read more

Took my girlfriend out for a date. Ordered the lobster, shrimp and salmon with lobster bisque as a side. She had the same but with some shrimp scampi. Food came out perfectly cooked and looked very appealing. Waitress was awesome and even the busman was on point. He bailed quickly but you rock! Only complaint was that a container date sticker found its way in my bisque. No biggie, got comped for it and enjoyed what I had. Took 15 minutes just to get my drink and order in. The waiter brought my salad out in about 5 minutes along with my drink. It was obvious there was no silverware on the table. I patiently waited for him to bring me a set but that never happened so I got up to get my own. Half way through the salad, he brought out my dinner. It was lukewarm at best but I was so hungry, I ate it without complaining. So now comes the time to pay and it takes an additional 30 minutes for this to happen. i was amazed on all fronts! we dined on a monday night. there was no wait. eddie was our server. the biscuits were good. our drinks arrived very fast. as we ordered our server did an awesome job answering our questions. and the ones he didn't he asked the manager. we ordered the 4 entrees for $16. it was pretty good considering the cost. i've had way better seafood for 3 times the cost. but the food and price were good. what made the experience a 5 star was the service by the manager and our server. it was amazing to be treated with respect and common courtesy. not sure if we had great service because it was slow for a monday night. but i'll take it! read more

Normally kinda like Red Lobster but this evening was pretty much a total disappointment. Our server acted almost as if we were an inconvenience to her. And she was not at all patient with my 92 year old grandfather. He can not hear so we write things for him and she saw that as a problem. My son asked for a refill on our drinks because they had not been filled after she set them on the table and asked us to pass them out. She all but gave a sigh like we were just asking too much. My grandfather asked for a to go box and we ended up getting that ourself. To top things off, when we were ready to go, there was a non-handicapped truck parked in the no parking next to our van accessible handicap spot, parked so close we couldn't get the door open let alone get my grandpa loaded. Instead he had to wait while I moved the van and the red lobster host that we reported it too thought is was just hilarious and laughed at us! read more

Excellent fried catfish lunch. Service was very good. Catfish was very crunchy and not oily. Salads are always good. Will go back again and again and again. My wife and I had the best lunch here. Our food was delicious, the service was phenomenal! Our waitress, Ashley, was absolutely incredible. She went out of her way to make our anniversary special. I've never had such poor service from this restaurant ever, but tonight took the cake. I called the restaurant for call ahead seating. They said I had to use their app. We'll, I'm old school and not very good at apps. Well it said 40minute wait. So I waited until 40 minutes until 6pm. My group was meeting then to celebrate my son's birthday. I selected the waiting list button and it said 30 minutes. That was cool We could go earlier. I get there and they wouldn't let us in until all my party arrived. Then we had an unexpected guest and our party grew from 6 to 7. They were rude about it. Couldn't seat more than 6 to a table. They made us feel very uncomfortable. Talked to us about it several times. They had me sit way far away from my group. I couldn't sit with my son at his birthday dinner. They could have pulled a table near so I could be included in the conversation at least. You ruined a nice night out. One of only 3 I've had since Covid started. Stopped eating here about 5 years ago. Just could not take the dusty ocean decor, fried food, high prices and bad service. Had a craving for fried fish yesterday and was beyond surprised. The restaurant has been totally remodeled. They have new items on the menu and the prices are reasonable. The food was good, the service excellent and we were given a personalized greeting card as we were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary. Way to step up to the plate Red Lobster! (pun intended). Just spent 1:30 minutes waiting for a table for 6 people. Was offered booth tables to be set back to back 45 mins in. After several tables of 6+ groups left the restaurant 15 mins later we were told that they were clearing our table. Waited another 10 mins and were offered the back to back booths again. Needless to say we left before we were seated because this establishment didn't deserve the $200 dollars we would have spent on dinner. read more
