My last visit ever the food was such poor quality. I actually overhead another table complaining about the shrimp and the wait staff replied"oh really? " She didn't even ask about all the uneaten food on our plates. My Cod was greasy to the point I could press on it with my fork and oil oozed out it also was not trimmed of the brown blood on the fillet giving it a very fishy taste and the brown is so unappealing. My fries tasted fishy also. My husband had a crab cake that looked raw and coconut shrimp that he was not wowed by. Service was horrendous. We sat waiting for the server for about 10 minutes. When the server arrived, we placed our entire order. It was probably a good 10 minutes before we received our drinks. It all went downhill from there. My glass of Meiomi Pinot Noir came to me in a beer glass. We never got appetizer plates. We got napkins to eat our apps on. The crabfest dinner arrived, but not the utensils to eat the crabs with. The soup arrived about 10 minutes after that. Stopped for lunch as we did not want to go to a fast food place. Our waiter Eugene, was very friendly and we were seated in a comfortable booth by the hostess. Our meals we chose were the lunch entrees , shrimp scampi, alfredo pasta and shrimp, fried fish and the soup and salad with grilled shrimp combo. Cheese biscuits wonderful. Portions and prices reasonable with a large variety of seafood options, fried, baked, grilled etc. from appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts I chose the lobster bisque which was delicious, the salad a plain iceberg variety with tomatoes and a slice of onion and nicely grilled shrimp Fried fish had a good crunchy batter. The fries were average. The pasta and shrimp good as well as the shrimp scampi. Food came out hot and plated nicely. We were treating my grandson to dinner for his 16th birthday and he wanted to go to Red Lobster. So, off to dinner we go up to the Melbourne, FL location. We were told 30 minutes and we were seated after 30 minutes so that was a good omen. Unfortunately, it went downhill after that! Three of us had the endless shrimp and were enjoying it even though the seafood itself is not of premium quality. We did not order any additional shrimp and were told we could not take what we originally received home...what?! It seems to me if you are paying for a meal, you should be able to take whatever is left on your plate home. Apparently, if you get endless shrimp, you cannot take any of it home, even the original plate of shrimp. I kind of understand that for additional orders but not the original plate. They can't serve what you don't finish to anyone else so they are just going to throw it away. Apparently Red Lobster wants to fill up landfills with their subpar seafood. I can't believe in this day and age, they are promoting waste when so many people are starving. Additionally, there used to be so many more choices of smaller plates of shrimp or scallops or clams. Now, it is mostly combo platters or high end dishes like their Lobsterfest. Lastly, we informed the waitress it was my grandson's birthday and thought that would get him a little dessert but no, nothing! We went here for lunch because I had a gift certificate. The manager of this restaurant should be ashamed to have his name on the outside shingle. First, the restaurant is filthy. Not the last person left a smug mark on the glass divider filthy. Long time no cleaning filthy. We sat in a half booth next to a cash register. The cash register area was thick with dust , cobwebs and dead flies. Second, the food is just ok. We shared the calamari appetizer which tasted like over fried rubber bands. Stayed a Fairfield Inn and could walk to a Red Lobster from the hotel. Glad I took a stroll. Was served by Qourtnigh (nope did not misspell). She was very attentive and made sure all was well throughout the dining experience. Caitlyn (manager) checked in to made sure all was well. Had the salmon ceasar salad, very tasty and filled me up. If there was less than one star, that's what i would give. There was a big board in the lobby advertising a new special. However, that special wasn't available when we asked. It was "last week's special." The wait time to be seated was nearly twenty minutes. The server was the highlight who was warm and friendly, prompt and accurate. She was great! The food not so much. I ordered chicken fetuccini because i don't eat seafood but the rest of the table did. The chicken was uncooked, noodles under done and the sauce was tasteless and bland. I only ate a small portion before throwing in the towel, literally. The location itself is okay, could use some plumbing work in the rest rooms but other than that it was nothing special, nothing like it used to be. I had the best meal there today. I agree with most reviewers that this place is ancient! It's been there for as long as I can remember. Usually the place smells fishy and I don't really like going. Have not eaten at a Red Lobster in years. This one was right next to my hotel so I gave it a try. 1/2 dozen raw oysters were big, fresh and fantastic. Went there on Fri. Oct. 4th and no one greeted us for a while. When finally seated, service was lousy! Everything we asked for either did not come or came late. Simple things like butter, lemon for iced tea, cheese for the seafood pasta (never came), our salads (never came)! When we asked for a spoon for the pasta dish we were told that the kitchen tells the waitresses they can't give them out! Come on guys, the wait staff is only as good as the manager and we never saw one. Nothing was taken off the bill and at $74 we will go to the Scampi Grill in Vero for a great dinner. "Our Trip to Boca" On our way down from Orlando to the Boca Raton Resort (a Waldorf property), we decided to stop in to Red Lobster for lunch. WOW, this place is big; and, we were greeted promptly upon entering; and, shown to a nice table with a window view. Our server arrived to ask for our drink orders, which included a Peach Lemonade for my wife; and, a Strawberry Lemonade for me (our daughter didn't eat.) Al told us that since these were "bar" drinks, there were no refills; but, I already knew that. I opted for the Lobster Tacos (3); and, my wife ordered the Shrimp Tacos (3); and, we swapped one out for the other, so we could each try both! The soft taco shells were wood-fired, piled high with seafood; and, dressed with lettuce, tomato, and a smoky, slightly-spicy sauce. We LOVED them! It's funny, because it was the ad for Crab Fest that brought us in; and, my wife searched for Red Lobster locations along our route (using her "nagivator" app.) But, when we got in, we just weren't in the mood for a heavy meal. I went here as a party of 4. We arrived at 2:38 and waited over an hour (they told us it would be 30 minutes to be seated). After waiting for more than an hour and a half I went back up to the check in and asked how much longer it would be to get seated- SHE SAID IT WOULD BE ANOTHER 30 MINUTES. She also said she wasn't sure when we would be seated exactly and that it was just a guess. The workers obviously had no clue what they were doing. After hearing it would be at least thirty minutes longer my group and I got up and left, without any "sorry" from the workers and without a crumb of food. Let me start off by saying that this Red Lobster had a really great seating time. They told us there would be a ten minute wait and that's exactly what it was. I love that. The host staff was professional and friendly. Now the bad news, I got food poisoning. My parents and I all pretty much had the same thing. My dad and I ate coconut shrimp. And my mom and I ate the wild caught crab and seafood bake. I apparently got the contaminated plate. Our waiter was friendly, but definitely paid more attention to other customers. I think his name was Leon. Nice guy, could have better service. My food wasn't hot and I got sick.
