I'm a fan of seafood, so I've dined at Red Lobster locations all over the country. This location is above average. The ambiance at all RL's is the same, but what separates this restaurant is the the high quality preparation of the food, and the excellent service by the staff. I came here on a Saturday evening. I was greeted and seated quickly. My server, Maria, came to my table right away to take my drink order and did a great job of checking with me often to ask how I was enjoying my meal and to ask if there was anything I needed. On this visit I selected the Dockside Duo. .. two courses for a special price. My choice was the Clam Chowder and the Fish and Chips dinner. (I substituted a baked potato instead of the fries.). The chowder was a little soupy... I prefer it a little thicker, so I docked a point for that. Of course, the Cheddar Bay Biscuits are always good. The Fish was cooked perfectly with a nice crunchy coating. The baked potato was cooked perfectly. Overall, I was very satisfied with the food and the service.

The paradise isle coconut shrimp is a must appetizer every time. Lobster tacos are excellent and the cheddar biscuits are always delicious.

I really want to love Red Lobster more than I do. If it wasn't for the fact that I was craving scallops, and that the yearly Christmas gift card I receive was still unused, I am pretty sure Red Lobster would not be my go to choice for scallops, or most anything else for that matter. I am even afraid to admit that I don't like the cheesy garlic biscuits that most people generally inhale the minute they appear on the table. If this bit of information isn't strange enough, I need to acknowledge that I have no real explanation as to why my trips to Red Lobster occur only once a year when a gift card is given. I think it has a lot to do with my displeasure with most conglomerate food operations. Too many hands, too many chiefs , too many lost ideas, too chain-like. My meal today was exactly what I expect it to be each time I go. The food is average, no frills, no wow moments overall. I ordered food, I received and ate said food, then I paid for said food. I do like the environment of the bar and dining room and the service is usually friendly, accommodating, and informative. The menu is loaded with a wide variety of options and variations and most times they honor your request to order something off the menu. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Red Lobster, I just haven't figured out how to let the seafood lover in me like it more!

The inside is a large, long space with plenty of seating. Your best deals are if you go during lunch hours when they have special pricing. Especially if you want to try out this type of meal but aren't sure if you are going to like it or not. They have a standard seafood boil menu. You can order your choice of seafood (or do the combos), choose your seasoning and your spice level. If someone in your party doesn't like boils, they also have a variety of fried items on their menu as well. There is also a full bar with a wide variety of drink options. I really enjoyed my meals here. I felt like it was a perfect amount of food and everything was packed with flavor. Skip the desserts, though. If you want something sweet, go somewhere else after. Their desserts are just made by someone else and defrosted to order. A fun place to experience a different type of meal. Definitely recommend.

We went on Valentine's Day, and the evening started our wonderful, with cocktails at the bar and the lovely touch of the owner's grandson gifting a red rose to the ladies. But then the food came. It was a set menu priced $99 per person. All was going well, until one of our entrees arrived, and they sent out raw chicken. Not slightly questionable - clearly still raw. I wouldn't expect that at Denny's never mind a fine dining establishment. The server was apologetic and took the other plate back into the kitchen to keep it warm so that we could eat together. When the food came back out, my husband's crab cakes had gone dry. On my plate, they had simply removed the raw chicken - not finished cooking it or replacing it, but removed it so that there were only two small pieces of chicken, and a huge pile of gnocchi and a huge mess on the plate where they had not taken the time to clean it up. Which was obviously disappointing. When the bill came, my husband questioned whether something should have been taken off the check based on our experience. The owner came over and eventually took $100 off the bill, which was absolutely fine. But then she concluded with "are you satisfied now, because I would like your table back to give to someone else". I don't recall an owner ever being so rude to a couple who have just spent $400 in a restaurant. Customers spending that kind of money should never feel rushed or spoken to like that (we still had half a bottle of wine, which we might have finished there had our experience been different). All she did was encourage us to write this review and ensure that we will never go back.

Our waitress Kendall was wonderful, being very helpful in making our decisions of drinks and dinner. Good GF options (my wife) and a good selection of liquors at the bar (including a small but solid selection of bourbons). The food was very tasty, but I found my pot roast a bit lacking in quantity. My wife's filet was a nice cut and done perfectly, thanks to Kendall's suggestion, and my m-i-l had the crab cakes and found them delicious. The ambience is relaxing and nice, but I do suggest they get better seats - hard wood is not the most comfortable selection at such a nice restaurant. Looking forward to returning, and definitely in the Spring, as the establishment turns open air in addition to the wrap around dining area that faces the river.

It's been quite some time since we were there and we were impressed overall by the service and food. The decor is lovely and elegant with artwork and draperies giving it a luxurious feel. It feels special just to dine there. We were seated and immediately greeted by our server who filled water glasses and gave us a few minutes to look over the menus before coming back for our drink orders. Cocktails were delicious. I had the Aperol Sunset and my daughter had the Greensburg Paloma. We ordered a few appetizers, the Zucchini Romano, which was fried zucchini with Bruschetta like toppings of tomatoes and green peppers and the Octopus Salad, which was a smoked octopus with potatoes and olives. Both were unique and different takes on standard versions I've had before. I added a Parmesan Salad to my entree of Scallops. It was a huge plate of frisée with pistachios and Parmesan cheese and was large enough to share with my husband and kids. The dressing was nice and vinegary, reminiscent of eating at my Italian relatives (Cousin Benny's) house in Cleveland. Entrees we're all very impressive to look at and wonderful to eat. As I said, I had the scallops, of which there were 8 perched atop a bed of white asparagus and spinach risotto. Yummy! My husband had the crab cakes and said they were the best he ever had. No filler, all crab. As usual, my son ordered the filet which was perfectly cooked and tender as butter. My daughter had the papperdelle in a Bolognese sauce. The pasta tasted home made and with some Mozzarella mixed in , each bite was creamy and delicious. Portion sizes were fairly generous, so much so that some of us took home doggie bags. But we still had room for dessert! We got a cannoli and shared it. Half was pistachio and half was chocolate chips. It was very large and was really good. Our server was extremely nice, cheerful and attentive. The service was quick but not rushed. We had time to enjoy our courses before the others came and the meal was quite enjoyable. I'll be going back sooner rather than letting years go by with out a visit.
