Management and our waitress truly went the extra mile to make our trip with the drive time. I LOVE this place, but it is out of my normal price range (Over $20 if I order what I really want!), so I don't usually eat here unless I have a coupon, or a gift card. I admit it ... I'm a cheapskate! I use coupons daily, and save up for ridiculous splurges! As you enter the front door, there is a podium where you tell the attendant your name and the number in your party. Often, there will be at least a short wait. You can sit on the benches to the left, or there's a comfortable bar just to the right where you can wait if you like.Time of day has a great deal to do with whether you have a long wait or not! As you are finally being seated, you'll pass a lobster tank as you approach the dining room, which has a nice atmosphere ... dark wood, and a seaside, fishy-type decor. The Red Lobster menu always has some intriguing drinks to offer, a wide array of seafood selections, and some fantastic desserts. I am totally undone by The Chocolate Wave (warm, rich chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, and chocolate sauce)! For me, one of the best things is when you're seated at your table, and the server brings you that basket of garlic-cheese Cheddar Bay biscuits. Oh, my! I could almost make a whole meal of those! But, I usually order a small steak and fried fish (lots of lemon, please) with a salt-baked potato (hold the sour cream, lots of butter!) or the wild rice pilaf, depending on my mood, and the salad, dry, with lemon. As I've mentioned before, I'm a picky eater! So far, this meal has never failed to please me! Sometimes, for a change, I get fried shrimp instead of the fried fish. The servers and the kitchen have always been very nice about special requests here. Red Lobster has a great kids' menu that offers favorites ranging from macaroni and cheese, to broiled fish, popcorn shrimp, chicken fingers, and grilled chicken, to snow crab legs! Service is usually pretty good, although occasionally I get a server who is either very busy, or distracted, and I end up running out of ice water, or needing more biscuits ... and no server in sight. When they finally DO get around to me, they're apologetic about the delay. This is the first place I take my friend from Vegas when she comes to visit. It's her all-time favorite restaurant. Red Lobster on Noland Road is another of those places in Independence that is always busy. We do not eat there often, at Hubby's request since he isn't much of a fan of seafood and/or fish, but we were taking a Grandson for a birthday dinner and this was his choice. It turned out to be a nice meal. We allowed DGS (dear grandson) to order anything on the menu and he ordered The Ultimate Feast that includes a tender split Maine lobster tail, steamed snow crab legs, garlic shrimp scampi and Hand-breaded, butterflied, deep-fried Shrimp. Which sounds like a lot of food (and it was) but DGS devoured every morsel in the time that it took me to eat half the food on my plate and request a box to take the remainder home for later. Hubby and I both ordered Wood-Grilled Peppercorn Sirloin and a skewer of half a dozen plump large shrimp finished with a buttery garlic glaze. My meal started with a fresh tasting Caesar salad and the entree was accompanied by a baked potato and steamed broccoli. Of course, a basket of warm cheddar biscuits arrived at our table soon after we ordered and was replenished as needed through out the meal. When our sweet server came to the table to box our leftovers, she brought a bag with "a couple" more biscuits to take home. I know why Red Lobster is always busy: They offer generous portions of well prepared food at a fair price with friendly, helpful service. I usually go once a year for the Alaskan king crab legs at 40 to $50 a plate. It used to be served on the big oval plate this time they served it on a round plate half the serving and it was only the knuckles in the lower half of the leg no bigger half of the leg it tasted dirty like snow crab. The waitress work there 5 years and knew that they will skimping on their portions and did get me some more of the bottom half of the legs which was awesome so she got 18% plus $5 tip but I will not be going back there for king crab legs again. Brought a large party there after an early day wedding, on a Friday . We tried to RESERVE but was told 'NO' and was a little nervous. We didn't all get one table -- but we were all in the same vicinity -- which was ok! They were very complying about setting up a table for a wedding cake that we had made for the occasion. My only complaint is that my 11.00 side steak was dry only ate a vew bites and even though I told waitress it wasnt taken off our bill. Admittedly not a seafood person but took my wife for valentines day. Steak was decent but had no seasoning. Fries were soggy as if they'd been sitting since lunch. We sat at the bar which was filthy. Bartender was wearing a uniform that hadn't been washed in days and hiding food under the margarita machine to eat later. Plates and trays left all over the side stations. Stay away from this place. If they get popped with a surprise Health Department inspection, I could pretty much guarantee they'd get shut down. read more

Red Lobster is not what it use to be. Salad bowl no longer has cucumbers and the bowl is not even full. Went for endless shrimp. You use to get 15 of each type of shrimp you pick on the first round then refills drop down to 10 shrimps. My scampi had 6 shrimp each time and my grilled shrimp only had 5 each time. Service is still great foods not bad. But this is no longer the seafood place to go to. Plus on endless shrimp price went up again. read more

After waiting an hour to eat. I order an adult drink and it was watered down. And I never send anything back but I did I got a different drink and was not good either. Order my food shrimp trio with bake potato and salad. Salad came out I was eating it and lord be hold there was freaking hair in my salad. They bring me another fine..... now for my main course everything looked good picked up a shrimp and guess what another freaking hair. This was a VERY poor experience. We came in and ordered, all was good. At the 47 minute mark, the brought the food for my daughter and part of my order and the waitress said that the manager would bring the the Tilapia. 4 minutes later the manager came over and said that the Tilapia did not look good and that it was the last one. Very tasty food and wonderful service! It was a Saturday afternoon when we came in to eat and it was pretty busy. But we weren't in a hurry, so no big deal. It took a bit for our food to arrive since they were slammed but we didn't noticed because we were chatting and eating the cheddar biscuits. After our food came out (which was delicious), the manager came over to talk to us about our wait time. She ended up comping all of our food (4 people in our party) to make up for the wait time. My hubby loves their cheddar biscuits and the Cajun chicken pasta. He is not a seafood guy, so when I am craving seafood - lobster, crab legs, shrimp, we go here. Our server was really nice. But, I feel like she was overwhelmed. It took quite awhile between steps. We ordered our drinks, waited. We got our drinks, waited. We ordered our food, waited. It took a LONG time for her to even bother to see if our meals were okay & she walked away so fast, I could not really answer. I got the steak and lobster tail. Steak was good, lobster tail was over cooked. We said we were ready to go, asked for dessert to go and needed a to go box for the extra pasta, waited, and waited, and waited. Tried Curbside ordering for the first time. They don't really have curbside, even though the website says to pull into the Curbside parking and they will bring you your food. Order was for a 7:15 pm pickup. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, I called to check on order and was told it's not safe for them to deliver to me and I have to go inside to get it. I mention to the person on the phone that they should update their website and she just laughed and said 'yeah'. When I get inside I was directed to the ToGo counter where a gentleman was going through the cash register and two other servers were waiting. The gentleman asked how I was, but really didn't want to know because I said 'fine, but you really should update your website'. To which I got no response, no eye contact; nothing! Then I waited another 10 minutes - now after 7:30 for my meal. No one ever engaged me further, apologized for the confusion, the wait, nothing. Once my food arrived another server went to check me out and tried to charge me, again. I won't ever go back. No appreciation for the customer. read more

Well, this is my final visit to the Red Lobster on Noland Road. The menu I was given was filthy. The window sill hadn't been wiped out in awhile. The service wasn't up to par. We were overcharged and it took 15 min to get it corrected. I did talk to the Mgr. and I think she thought I was out to get a free meal. Not the case. I just want their cleaning standards stepped up. There were all kinds of things on the floor under several tables. My husband's shrimp wasn't the greatest. We went for our Anniversary.
