Went to Texas Roadhouse today. Great food and great experience for a very reasonable price. Sorry I neglected to get pictures. Started with their luscious rolls with butter. They are so good. I got the Country Fried Chicken, which comes with a white gravy. It was a large piece of chicken. It was flavorful and tender. For sides I got the Texas chili and baked sweet potato. The chili was excellent and the sweet potato was delicious. The other person got the chicken critter meal. There are 6 chicken critters, or some would call them chicken strips. They were very large, good seasoning and very tender. For sides they got a baked potato and green beans. Potato was excellent. Beans had a smoky flavor, good if you like it, not so much if you don't Service was excellent. Had a little mix up on the order, however it was addressed quickly and professionally. Here is my Texas Roadhouse hack for the Country Fried Chicken. I asked for the gravy on the side. When it came, I took a roll, cut in half, cut a big piece of chicken for inside the roll and put some white gravy on the chicken. So basically, I had some country fired chicken small sandwiches. It was delicious. One other item. On Monday thru Thursday they have special menu pricing on several items, I think it was 10 items, for $11.95. Service was great but with that raspberry lemonade that I did not finish, tasted like an antique shop if it had a taste. It matched that old ass smell too well. It makes me think it was toilet water and it's time for an health inspection. The baked potato and shrimp tasted a bit off too. It made me wonder if they did something to it. My first experience with Texas Roadhouse didn't go well. There were problems with both them and myself. I take half of the blame. We cancelled the order and got a refund. Three weeks later we decided to try again. Everything went very smoothly. The food was outstanding, especially for the prices they charge. We have been there 2 times since and the total experience has been flawless. They simply have the whole deal down pat and do a great job of making sure it is done right. This location does get crowded on weekends so I highly recommend going onto the Texas Roadhouse website and getting on the waitlist before you want to go. For the first time in probably over 50 visits to Texas Roadhouses over the years, I finally had a poor experience. Came in with the wife, MIL, & SIL last night (Saturday 1/31/26) after doing the call ahead seating (which was the only part that went well). Parking out back was a nightmare. To some degree on a Saturday night, that's understandable. But given it was about 15°F out, having to scrounge for poorly lit parking in the way back lot and walk a considerable distance really sucked. The waiting area was jam packed with people, again, understandable on a busy Saturday night, but it sure would've been nice had the waiting area with heaters outside had an insulating layer against the elements to create more usable waiting space vs everyone being sardines in the inside waiting area and vestibule. Fortunately we didn't have to wait long as we timed our arrival with the get-in-line early seating feature appropriately. We were seated within a couple minutes of pulling up our confirmation number. Then everything went off the rails. After several minutes, we were asked in a somewhat accusatory way by a worker if we were at the right table and asked for our information again...which we gave, and she left. Kind of an odd interaction I've never had previously. After several more minutes, our waitress finally showed up. We went ahead and combined drink + food orders given the extended delays. Again, understandable to have a significant wait on a packed Saturday night, but it felt like it took quite a while. Drinks finally made it after a while. The food took a good while longer. And then the amusingly bad part happened. My wife ordered a ribeye medium rare. She was served a strip steak that was somewhere between blue rare and rare. The waitress said she'd take it back to the kitchen...only to bring it back out and explain that the kitchen manager said it was a "Strip-eye", where the strip and ribeye cuts "meet up". A strip comes from the short loin while a ribeye comes from the ribs section. While these sections of a cow do touch, these are two completely different cuts of meat that don't "meet up". And the fact that a kitchen manager sent the wrong steak back out with this ridiculously bad explanation instead of making it right is inexcusably bad. We get it, it's busy. But don't try to cover up a mistake and not fix it. For what ended up being a nearly $100 meal, my expectations, particularly of Texas Roadhouse, are so much higher than this. This was profoundly bad. The overall experience was so poor that I'll definitely not be back to this location and will probably never sing the praises of Texas Roadhouse again. My SIL wanted Longhorn instead and I shut that down really quickly, but honestly, she was probably right and that would've been the better choice. read more

A buddy and I went here mid-week for dinner. As usual, there was an hour wait (this is Texas Roadhouse), so we ran up the street to do some shopping at Lowe's while waiting. Wait time was about the time they said it was, so they have that down to a science. The Staff was friendly and engaged with us and the rest of the customers. At one point, a song came on, and a bunch of the staff went over to do a line dance in the middle of the restaurant. I'm not sure what that was about; no one paid any obvious attention to it, nor was there ever any explanation. So Free Show! Our Food was cooked perfectly. And the rolls kept coming! When I'm visiting my daughter in Texas, this is one place that we always go to, the rules with the cinnamon butter are to die for, the ribs and the Caesar salad is another go to of mine. The service is on point. They usually never forget about you, the ambience is loud TVs playing peanuts on your table Great for families with kids. I was on the road again when I found myself here at Texas Roadhouse the rolls were so good they are always on my mind! I was wondering how much do they cost but they are free! The tater skins were so good they had my blue eyes cryin in the rain! Don't get me started on my steak... it was so good seven spanish angels took me straight to Heaven!!! I had to pause halfway through my meal to just breathe in the city of new orleans! The steak fries upset my stomach so much that when I got home I experienced THE ring of fire but I'm still not dead. We came on Easter Sunday 2025 and were very impressed. The staff were organized and efficient, including our waitress. She was kind and attentive without being overbearing, and made accommodations for us that improved our experience greatly. The beef tips and steak were a bit overcooked and the mac & cheese was under-salted. Other than that, the food was all very good! Everything was nice and hot. The rolls are obviously a standout but the chicken dishes (herb-crusted and smothered) were both great! It was very busy and pretty loud. Texas Roadhouse is just a staple in the community. You can't expect to go there and just "get a table" you got to be ready to wait an hour, 2 hours, 4 hours.... (Recommend putting your name on the waitlist online before) but boy howdy is it worth the wait... Whether it's the large ice cold beers, endless rolls where they will send you home with two to-go boxes full of em, or just the consistently good salads, steaks, and sides. For the price this is a go to favorite for a good steak. Also the atmosphere takes you right back to country two stepping dance hall. Everyone is there to have a good time and eat so much that you need to plan your next day accordingly. Only recommendation is they need more wheelchairs so you can get wheeled out after a hearty meal. read more

The rolls were hittin today! So was the catfish honestly. My wife and I are regulars here as it's one of our comfort food spots. Always a fun place to have some of their delicious rolls, a tasty drink, and some pretty good food. Good place to watch the game too as they have several TVs. The 5 oz. salmon dinner ($15.49) was served 15 minutes after I ordered at the bar, where the service was cheerful, knowledgeable, and efficient. It included my choice of two sides, a large lemon wedge and tasty tartar sauce. The seasoned rice and fresh veggies were generously sized, while the seasoned rice was especially delicious. Called ahead to get on the wait list and was told to expect a wait of 15-30 minutes upon arrival. We waited for a table for about 20 minutes after checking in. We were seated in an open booth with customers in front and behind us. We sat for another 10 minutes or so with NOT ONE WAITER stopping by to ask what we wanted to drink or order. We did notice that the waiter for the table in front of and behind us made several stops asking if everything was on, but NOT ONE STOPPED and asked us. I did inform the girls at the front desk, who seemed they care less and offered no additional service. I had to check out the new Texas roadhouse in Overland Park. It's much closer to My Home than the Olatha restaurant. I have to say the staff is diverse, friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Being a solo diner, they are always more than accommodating. The food was fantastic. I had the half ribs and sirloin. Of course I couldn't finish the whole thing so I brought half of it home for my lunch the next day. Texas roadhouse never disappoints me and it's always a go to when I am craving a steak. We always take advantage of getting in line online to reduce our wait. They definitely haven't mastered this system yet as our 25-30 min wait became an hour. We checked in twice, first time we were "in the red" and should be seated shortly. 15 minutes later and 5-6 parties who were seated we checked in a second and she couldn't locate our number.
