In the past, I have not reviewed any of the major chain restaurants, but since we do eat at them occasionally, I decided to review the ones that are located here in Las Cruces. My last experience was last week, went we went out to celebrate an anniversary. My lobster, garlic shrimp, and shrimp scampi entree, including the rice pilaf was very good. The cheesy biscuits are always good. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees too. So, when we do visit a chain restaurant, the Red Lobster is good option. read more

March 15, went to our local Red Lobster for birthday dinner. The restaurant was not serving salads, out of Romaine even though there is a market across the street. I ordered the lobster feast, which was over cooked. My lobster was not hot and rubbery in texture. The lobster bisque was good as was the calamari. But spend almost $30 on a dish not being hot and over cooked is unacceptable. read more

I haven't eaten at Red Lobster in many years because the food got so bad. I thought I'd give it another try. I'm highly disappointed!!! The salmon doesn't have any flavor and the portions are very small. The crab have very minimal meat inside and I wasn't given half of a pound as described in their ad. The Maine lobster tails were very small. The shrimp were very salty. I wasn't given any drawn butter for the lobster or the crab legs. I was given one large drawn butter for the Admiral's Feast which is NOT a good idea with COVID-19 to have "four people" share one drawn butter. The broccoli and rice didn't have any flavor. The stuffed mushrooms don't taste anything like they used to. As a matter of fact, they were kind of gross. The bacon wrapped scallops weren't fully cooked and were kind of rubbery. The filet mignon was very small and lacked flavor. I became very thirsty with eating the food due to the amount of Sodium in the food. I'm highly disappointed in my food. I don't think I'll ever go back. I've tried giving them several chances. The good isn't anywhere near what it used to be 20 years ago. It's not worth the price. read more

NICE PLACE, GOOD SERVICE, AND....USUALLY....GOOD SEAFOOD. Oh, here we go again. A big national chain. If you are the type that doesn't want to hear anything positive about it....tune out now. This Red Lobster is a clean and comfortable place to dine. Several different rooms and comfortable booths. Everytime I have dined there the service has been very good....reaching the professional level. Only on one occasion several years ago did I have a poor meal. Back in 2009 I had a combination plate which had a really poor fish on it....mushy and tasteless. The manager did try to make it right....give him credit. Since then all my meals have been quite good. I had a pasta dish with a white sauce and lobster and shrimp in it. It also featured diced tomatoes and asparagas. The garlic biscuits were delicious as usual. In the seafood pasta dish the shrimp were ok and the lobster very good. Everything merged beautifully for a most flavorful dish. I also ordered the Sailor's Platter and a crab cake on the side. The crab cake was ok but I've had much better. The side salad was pretty basic....nothing special. Ditto the pilaf. The garlic rolls the Lobster is known for were of course good. The garlic shrimp scampi were excellent. The breaded fried shrimp were good but not outstanding. The flounder fillets were cooked just right and were pretty good. Most recently I went during their "endless shrimp" days. The Creamy Langostino Lobster Bake Potato was good with the potato baked perfectly. The salad was fresh and the dressing high quality. The biscuits good as usual. The shrimp scampi were delicious as were the breaded fried shrimp. What to expect if you go: A comfortable place to dine with pleasant and efficient service, a nice seafood selection, food that is very good most of the time, and prices a little on the higher side. We had an excellent time dining at Red Lobster, our favorite place to celebrate. The food was delicious; the waitress was very cheerful and doing her best. The only negative was RL was clearly understaffed causing our server to run around while doing a good job not to look frantic. We reassured her that we were in no hurry, which was true. We even saw her keep her cool when a large party left PENNIES as a tip. Anyway, super experience. Management, hire some more servers! read more

Great food and terrific service! Our waitress Brianna was exceptional. The lobster bake was wonderful and is now a favorite of mine.

After driving from Arizona and having no such luck at finding a good place to eat AND it being Friday of Lent, we googled Red Lobster and it took us to this location. Bugs come running across the table while we were eating! Management said the exterminator was just in yesterday. Gross! Food wasn't touched so we tried to ignore the bugs. Steak wasn't cooked to order and way to much pepper but, seafood was ok. Service was good. This place is pricey should have 3 dollar signs. Well, I tried to eat here at 6:15 on Thursday, party of one. Parking lot is less than half full and I'm thinking great, no wait. It even says "immediate seating" on Yelp. Imagine my surprise when I'm told there are no tables unless I would like to sit in the bar. I can see empty tables and I'm told that they are short staffed and all have the maximum number tables they can service. Long story short, I can't review the food because I didn't stay. I can't review the waitstaff because I wasn't seated. I can only review the hostess - not good - and the manager when I called back - not good. I guess I'll eat somewhere else, never to return to this establishment. read more

We ate at Red Lobster last night, 1/15. I ordered a garlic shrimp entree. It was not hot at all and the shrimp tasted rubbery. The waitress took it back and brought a "fresh" order saying it was now hot. The shrimp were still cold and tasteless. I didn't bother to complain again. My husband ordered a shrimp in pasta. Both of us were sick last night. Needless to say, never again will we go to Red Lobster. It is to be avoided. We felt like we were on a Chef Ramsey kitchen nightmares program. read more

I had oven broiled flounder and my wife had a shrimp combo. My flounder was soggy and tasteless. My wife's shrimp was very tasty especially the linguini which she shared with me. Service was excellent, our glasses were never empty. This morning about 14 hours after eating there my wife suddenly got very sick, first with an upset stomach, then all-out sick. Yesterday my wife and went to our local Las Cruces, NM Long John Silvers here in town. The restaurant was empty. There was two young lady's working the front counter. When we walked up one left immediately. The other ignored us completely. My wife and I both gave the greeter a greeting with a smile in hopes it would cheer up the young lady at the counter. See continued to completely ignore us and opened the till acting like she was looking for something. At that point my wife and I left, not ringing the bell. Setting in the corner was a young man who worked at the restaurant and he seemed to find this all amusing. Now I called the restaurant after calming down and was told no manager exist and one only comes in on Friday mornings, but he was sick. I will now use social media to get the word out. I dont want people like this handling my food and the local health department should get involved. The place was not clean and the large young lady behind the counter was wearing batter and food all her gown. Something is not right for a eating establishment to not be ready for a afternoon crowd. When I drove by an hour later the parking lot was still empty, I think I know why now. read more
