Went back for the Create Your Ultimate Feast. Due to the fact that I ordered takeout and it wasn't packaged very well, I was slightly disappointed. Had the Classic Maine Lobster Tail and 7 oz Grilled Sirloin Steak as my main entree's. Requested hush puppies and Chesapeake Fries as my sides. As for the two shrimp choices, I chose Grilled Shrimp and Garlic Shrimp Scampi. First of all, the Shrimp was 10/10! No complaints whatsoever. The 7 oz Grilled Sirloin Steak was requested well done and still had a ton of pink meat inside which made it completely inedible to me. Chesapeake Fries were layered at the very bottom making them completely soggy. Hush puppies were a welcome surprise and would rate a 10/10 on those. It also came with warm melted butter and fresh lemon slices and ketchup packets for the fries. The Orzo rice included was absolutely divine! It is an expensive meal but if you love seafood like myself I'd definitely recommend it! Everything did taste fresh all things considering. read more

We celebrated my daughter's 8th birthday at Red Lobster and it was an incredible experience. She has been fascinated with lobsters lately and was thrilled to finally dine here. My wife and I had not visited in years and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly, attentive, and wonderful with our kids. Our hostess, Gaby, went above and beyond with her warmth and hospitality. The food was delicious. Our kids loved trying lobster for the first time and they could not get enough of the cheddar biscuits, which they even said were better than Texas Roadhouse rolls. To make the birthday extra special, the staff sang happy birthday, brought out a giant ice cream goblet with a candle, and decorated the plate with a cute lobster design in strawberry and chocolate syrup. They also presented a hand-signed card from the entire team. As a fun bonus, the kids got to handle a real lobster and received personalized certificates. A huge thank you to the Layton Red Lobster staff for making my daughter's birthday so memorable. We cannot wait to come back. read more

Very slow kitchen. Took over 20 minutes to receive our food. The noise level was high and one old male waiter was talking to his customer for over 10 minutes several times very loudly talking about his wife. I was never asked if I needed another glass of wine either. Food was good but took a long time to receive it. All happen on a Tuesday evening. Not terribly busy. No wait to be seated. After complaining about time for our food which was our waiter talking rudely in the back and at bar about the complaint. This Red Lobster was much better than the last one I visited. At least they had lobsters in the lobster tank. I was there with my colleague who is normally a steak guy, but wanted to start eating more seafood. We arrived around 5 pm and were seated right away. The service was excellent. They brought out the cheddar biscuits as I watched my colleague almost devour all of them. He did leave me one. The place wasn't very busy. Plenty of parking. They asked us if we were celebrating anything. We mentioned we were celebrating a great anticipated meal. It was lobsterfest and I wanted the lobster over pasta with shrimp and mussels. Well my first review didn't post but this is good enough for a second review! We've never had a better restaurant experience! Our waitress Lexi was phenomenal!! She went above and beyond to give our family the very best experience. The food was delicious. It wasn't overcrowded which was wonderful bc it wasn't too noisy. The manager was so friendly as he worked around the restaurant. The hostess topped off the wonderful evening with letting our children pet a real live lobster! There is no exaggeration when I say it was the consistency of water with zero, and I mean not one piece of clam in the soup just potatoes. We also ordered the lobster dip which was extremely undesirable. It was like a paste with one big chunk of something that didn't taste like lobster, it actually smelt rancid. The only thing halfway decent was the six rolls we ordered. 100% disappointed though for $60. Oh man. This franchise has really taken a turn for the worse. The biscuits, the most important part of red lobster, were too salty and too mushy. I ordered the surf n turf and the steak had all the connective tissues in it and seriously took so long to chew that me and my mom started laughing about it. The lobster came with this very odd flavored fake butter sauce that ruined the whole thing. My mom got the lobster bisque and alleged it was way too salty to the point it was almost bitter. Unfortunately the inside was dirty and the carpet was full of crumbs. We will not be going back. Quite sad because red lobster used to be quite the treat! read more

I went last week and found the biscuits, arguably the most important part to get correct, being that it is served to all customers, were not as good as other locations. The front area was not well-kept and cleanliness of the restaurant was a major issue. SO DISAPPOINTED This Red Lobster used to be top of the line- before Covid, went their in September 2024- disgusting- food was tasteless & rubbery. Heard that it was under new ownership or management thru social media, so on Saturday 5-16-26,we decided to try again- so excited. Seated quickly- not as busy as usual for a Saturday @750 p.m. Waiter was very pleasant upon introduction- went downhill quickly after. Ordered appetizer, drinks, & main dish- took 15+ minutes to get water & soda- got appetizer & less than 10 minutes main dish came. I got the "all you can eat" shrimp- hubby got a burger, I got shrimp linguine(cold & shrimp were tasteless & over cooked), Walts shrimp & coconut shrimp( tasted like it had been boiled & then thrown in grease)!! I was going to order another round hoping that it was a fluke- waited over 40 minutes without seeing our waiter AT ALL, finally came back & could plainly see that we had absolutely zero beverages(we only got our initial drink) & that 99% of my "all you can eat" shrimp was still on the plates!! At that point we just got our check, paid, & left, we left over a 25% tip- I know that the food was not the waiters fault- but not checking on us for over 40 minutes was ridiculous. I didn't want to bother the manager & was super frustrated so it would have been loud. Called & left a message for the manager to call me, just to let her know our experience & maybe make someone else's experience better. We rushed home because the food hubby ate didn't sit well on his stomach- the fact that he planned the date & knows I love seafood I'm sure being upset with the quality of food & service probably didn't help!! This was one of those visits that only happens once in a lifetime. We had a server, Heather L., who just took to us and made the visit a totally unique experience. Business/leisure dinner. All drinks as ordered arrived promptly, including refills. The 2 guys got the unlimited shrimp feast, and their shrimp was coming out as fast as they could eat it. Heather was aware of the consumption pace and made sure to take their pre-orders for the next round of shrimp. Yours truly thought her build-your-own platter had oven broiled scallops but received fried bay scallops and fried clam strips. Heather was able to get the scallops swapped for some oven broiled and they were brought to the promptly by the kitchen staff as soon as they were ready. It has been awhile since my husband and I have been to Red Lobster and we stopped by while up north. Gabby our waitress was very busy but super friendly and nice. She gave us plenty of time to order and had a lot of suggestions which was awesome. We ordered the Fish & Chips and The Salmon New Orléans. The salmon was honestly the best salmon I've had out at a restaurant I generally avoid salmon because it's flavorless most of the time. This salmon was very good for farmed Salmon and had so much flavor. I cannot wait to eat it again. The Cajun seasoning butter that was on top was absolute perfection. You could taste all the elements of the spices and it was not overpowering it was just the perfect amount of flavor. The fish and chips were huge the piece of fish was a whole cod! The batter was different than what you expect from fish and chips but it was a really nice batter and wasn't overwhelming. It's not like typical fish and chips but no place I know has typical English fish and chips. I was a little disappointed by my fully loaded baked potato but it wasn't the star of the show anyways. Stopped for lunch today, I had a coupon for a free bowl of soup, I got the clam chowder and also ordered a single lobster/shrimp roll. I was seated quickly, and received my chowder soon after, the roll came out and I had an issue with the under-cooked shrimp. The waiter was awesome, he comped the roll and brought me free some ice cream for dessert. Came here for Moms 86th birthday. Been coming to this location for years. Start off saying they are short staffed. We had to wait about 20 min to be seated. Wait staff was Awesome!!! We had one waitress and she was so good. Food came at regular intervals with appetizers, salads and main course. 8 in our group. All the food ordered was greasy, hot and very good. Whatever they do to a lot people in the Que it's working. No complaints. Prices have gone up for sure. It was a memorable afternoon and we appreciated the work they put in for us. We've had nothing but great experiences and the food is always fresh, served as ordered, and not once have I said "that's not quite what I thought I was getting based on the menu." Top off with the fact that they are in Layton, where there is a demand at every restaurant most every night, and what they do is even more impressive. I'm usually not a fan of the shrimp, I can do that kind of stuff at home. I am always loving on their fresh catch and some of the different selections they bring in from time to time. My most recent visit here abt a little over a month ago was disappointing to be honest. The clam chowder was lukewarm and so were the biscuits. Our salads had wilted lettuce and I just felt like everything tasted blahhhh. I always order the same items so when it's not good, I know. My pasta was also underwhelming. This was disappointing since I've come before and had better tasting food - but it proved the lack of consistency.
