I recently visited the Red Lobster on the Outer Loop! What an experince I had. I was instantly greeted at the host stand and accommodated to a table. My server was Jade and she was so sweet and pleasant. She provided menu assistance since there is a lobster fest going on. The feel inside was different because things didn't seem chaotic and the restaurant was clean. It was nice to see that. Jade was efficient with things. The tea was good, the biscuits melted in my mouth, and the food was piping hot. A manager visited my table and she was so sweet. She made me feel like a person just expressing genuine care about my experience. Her name was Sheila. Overall my experience was amazing and I can't wait to go back. Thank you Red Lobster! read more

My girlfriend and I absolutely love Red Lobster so we always come here to eat for special events, like birthdays or celebrations. That being said, it's diffcult trying to narrow down what we like because we've been here so many times. Let's start off with the service. It's always been great, we've never had a bad experience here. They've always been communicative. We usually don't have to wait but whenever we do, they've always informed us how long the wait time will be and assure us that they'll have a table ready as soon as possible. The food is usually delicious but since my last review, I have unfortnately had to knock off one star. I'm not sure if it's because they recently had to file for bankruptcy but the food quality has started to go down a little. There have been a couple of times where we have ordered shrimp and it has tasted fishy and had a weird aftertaste. My lobster tail was also overcooked the last time I had it which was unfortunate because it's expensive and I care a lot about texture. Regardless, the food is still good, I've just noticed a bit of a decline in quality. When we come here, we usually just order the ultimate feast and share it between the two of us because it's a little too much food for one of us. You get a lot of variety this way and it's pretty good. However, with the unlimited shrimp deal, we get the crispy dragon shrimp, garlic shrimp scampi, and the shrimp linguini alfredo. My favorite is the crispy dragon shrimp because it has a nice sweet glaze. It's very flavorful and reminds me a little of orange chicken. My girlfriend likes the garlic shrimp scampi and I can't blame her because the garlic butter they soak it in is flavorful and buttery. The shrimp linguini alfredo is good too but it doesn't have much flavor. The prices are fair, especially the infamous unlimited shrimp deal but I did notice that they raised the price on it a little. I will mention that the last time we got the unlimited shrimp, the waiter informed us that you can no longer take leftovers home. I guess they were losing too much money but hearing that was kind of disappointing especially because they should tell customers that before they order it, not afterwards. Luckily, the waiter let us take ours home. Overall, I still like coming here. The bread rolls are amazing, the prices are decent for seafood, the service is excellent, and the food is still good. read more

Red lobster located in the okolona portion of Lousiville Kentucky off outer loop road near the Jefferson mall entrances. This location has been here for well over 20 years. I can remember going here back in high school a few times and likening the cheddar biscuits a lot. I wasn't a big seafood guy then so didn't remember much else. So finally after a long span I stopped in here for lunch the other day with my family. The place is still very nice and spacious inside and intimate low light setting. Our service we received today was above average so they did a nice job. We started with a calamari app to go with the still tasty as I remember cheddar biscuits. The calamari was solid. Not bad but any means but nothing groundbreaking. Very average of I'm being honest. I personally ordered a lobster pizza and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It was very good. My wife got the steak and lobster and said it was really good. Steak was slightly over cooked but nothing to deter her. My oldest got the crab legs and she was a big fan. The younger three daughters got kids meals consisting of Mac and cheese and popcorn shrimp. They all appeared enjoy it. I tried my third born popcorn shrimp and I'm must say it was great. Maybe the best popcorn shrimp I've had before. Overall we had a very pleasant visit. Nothing that would make me wait another twenty years to come back. We will definitely frequent more often and add red lobster into our seafood rotation some. read more

This past weekend we enjoyed a wonderful dinner we haven't visited in sole time. Wait was 30 minutes so we enjoyed a tall frosty Octoberfest Sam Adams our bartender was friendly and attentive starting our evening perfectly. After seated our server was as helpful with catch of day and attentive. We chose to share two fabulous entrées of fettuccine Alfredo with broiled shrimp and the New Orleans salmon. Prepared to perfection. Flavor was on point. Side fresh and tasty. Management was kind and visible to all guests. We will definitely put in our new restaurant rotation. Clean facilities. I went to the Red Lobster in Bowling Green KY while traveling a couple of days ago. It had been 2 years since I was last there. My experience this time was the same as 2 years prior. Absolutely fabulous! We had the Shrimp Scampi, Lobster Flatbread, Crab Legs, Citrus Sangria, Top Shelf Margarita, and Virgin Pina Colada. The drinks were cold and refreshing. Our server was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was relaxed. Everything was hot, tasted fresh and was exactly as ordered. I'm a big RL fan although we don't go often. We were in town for the weekend so we made plans for endless shrimp. The food was good-RL quality. I think $22 bucks for what you get is a fair price. I took 2 stars off for the long wait times (when there were very few customers in sight) and when we asked for the biscuits we were told, "I'll try. Our biscuit girl just started last week and she's slow." Hey, your "biscuit girl" being slow is not our problem, bring on the cheddar bay! read more

They are really trying. Seems to be struggling with keeping things moving for patrons and the speed of the food being done. They also may have been short-staffed. When I was there, we waited a while for our to-go order. So do not be in a rush when you go or make sure you call in your order well in advance. They did not have a full menu still so please call or somehow find out before you go if they have the food you want. My food I normally get is always on the menu. They are limiting the people in the building and the waiting area does not have seats available. Hand sanitizer is available as well. My food was really good. I got the pick 2 with shrimp scampi and fried shrimp. The shrimp was amazing as usual. I never expect them to mess the food up. My sides were Caesar salad and green beans. The only had romaine lettuce and a select few salad dressings (if you get a different salad and want different dressings other than caesar). Yeah so after ordering the Rock Lobster tail. I will not be ordering this ever again. The Lobster Tail was so tough I had no choice but to eat it since I ordered the food to go and it was too far to drive back. The rice, salad, broccoli and fries were good but can't say the same for the Lobster Tail. I just couldn't wait until today to try this Lobster Tail. I had been thinking about this food since I saw a Red Lobster commercial last Friday. The staff is always friendly, food comes out at a decent time, and it always comes out just right. Their admirals feast is what I typically go for if I'm wanting to stock my belly up with food for 2 days (it's a big portion of food) or their crab legs. Their buttery biscuits are to die for and can literally fill you up before your food arrives if you don't watch out . My Godparents took me here for my pre-birthday celebration. OMG their biscuits are the best!!! We had an awesome waitress who brought out as many biscuits as we wanted and the way we requested them. She was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the lobster spinach dip. It was the fist time I had tried it, but it was good. It was different, but good. I don't usually like the way the resturant always has an overall level of grit to it, because it comes off as dirty. I guess that's because of it being a "fish house," because I feel that way in all kinds of fish houses unless they're more upscale. Other than that, I would come here again. read more

As always, the cheddar biscuits are the very best thing you could order. Don't go there. Don't give them a second look. They can't make a crab cake for the price they charge. Red Lobster used to be something to really look forward to...My recent experience left a lot to be desired. Wait staff was decent but the food is overpriced and the quality was disappointing Appetizer of Lobster Artichoke dip has changed. It was like artichokes and bits of lobster thrown in their lobster bisque and add cheese. Not what it was when it 1st became part if the menu. Admiral's Feast was my choice and subbed shrimp for clams ($4 upcharge). The ceasar salad was really cold but drowning in dressing and the limp brown edged romaine made it undesirable and I pushed it aside. The entree came with a barely warm baked potato (butter struggled to melt). The fish fillets looked like small perch fillets instead of whitefish. I had to actually laugh when I realized what they were the were so small. The shrimp was the only thing that captured the overall rating of 2 stars above. I was with a large group so I didn't complain to the management but I predict if many others receive this type of quality, this RL won't be around for long. read more

The chocolate wave cake is the best! I can't give an honest review of the food or location. I always always get my food to go. I always order cake! Last time I ordered cake and biscuits! Got all the way back to ups and I had biscuits and a brownie. Yep had to drive all the way back - didn't even get new fresh biscuits. But they said keep the brownie - yuck. EVERYONE I encountered was friendly and helpful. The manager even stopped by to chat with me. I wish I could remember her name. This was the week of March 12-15. I dine out often, and I know Red Lobster is not knows as fine dining, but my experience was better than many lofty and expensive establishments I have visited. Ordinarily I wouldn't review a national chain but before this Saturday I hadn't been to Red Lobster in years so I figure, what the hell? My boyfriend and I had a gift card for the Darden Restaurant Group and, being huge seafood fans, we obviously chose to go to Red Lobster. We started with the coconut shrimp which were pretty good if standard and the cheddar bay biscuits which are so delicious! For my entree, I had the lobster tacos. They were passable but unfortunately the flavor of the lobster was completely overshadowed by the amount of pico de gallo and slaw that was on them. My boyfriend got the Ultimate Feast with fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, a lobster tail, and crab legs. He completely finished it and it was impressive! The service left something to be desired. We only saw our waiter 4 times: once when we were seated, once when our drinks were brought, once when our food was brought, and for the last time when he brought our check. I had to ask another waiter for a drink refill. All in all Red Lobster is just OK but is certainly more preferential to the other restaurants in the Darden Group (Olive Garden, Longhorn's, etc...) read more

Stopped here on November 18,2018 on the way to Indiana, this had to be the best Red Lobster I have ever been to. Service was fantastic, our waitress Brittany was on point. Call ahead seating was great! The food...my salmon was delicious, but my husbands steak had to be the best I have ever had and I am not a steak fan, he agreed and said best ever. I eat here about once a year, mainly because I live more than an hour away and it is a bit pricey, but I love Red Lobster! My 11 year old love it too, and since he got a good follow up appointment after his surgery, I figured it was worth the splurge for all he's been through. We arrived around 2pm, and was surprised how meany people were eating a late lunch too! From the moment we walked in everything was practically perfect! We were treated with a warm welcome, and seated promptly. Teresa was our waitress. She was very professional and nice. We got a visit from the manager on duty to check on us too. The food was great! I got unlimited shrimp and Teresa was quick to keep offering more. The only downside would be the restrooms weren't up to my cleanliness and smelling standards, but the wonderful service and care given to our visit makes me want to eat there everyday! Took my 2 nephews out for a bite. 1 of my nephews and myself, ordered, the Ultimate Feast (lobster tail, crab legs, scampi x2, mash, and broc). Sub scampi for the fried shrimp. Stephanie was our server. Very nice, polite, and great with the boys. When the food arrived to the table, the legs were flavorless and cold. Told Steph. She said she would notify the mgr. Mgr never came to our table. Walked by, but never stopped. By the time replace legs came out (by the mgr), we were done eating. The legs were much smaller than the originals and they were supposed to bring 2. They forgot to bring the other legs. So, he had to go back to get another cluster. The Ultimate Feast was a joke. We only go for their annual all you can eat shrimp with family and stay for hours visiting and getting full. We had one bad experience at the outer loop location in Louisville, Kentucky but the manager, Robert, was very nice and made the situation right. This is our favorite (and closest) location and it's always clean with hot delicious food. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. I am not a big seafood fan. I generally go when I am with a group of seafood-loving friends and I am out-voted. In my opinion, I would prefer King Fish or Joe's Crab Shack because they both have a larger selection of non-seafood choices for folks like me. I felt the Red Lobster menu was limited. Haven't been to Red Lobster for several years. We enjoyed it many years ago, until one year we had several bad experiences with the food and atmosphere. I have some friends that work at UPS and they stated the place had some good changes. So they wanted to try it out today, and we actually had a good experience. I gave it four stars because the food tasted good and our waitress was really nice. I got the surf & turf(lobster & steak) with green beans and mushrooms. The lobster is way smaller than the picture in the advertised menu, but I was full after eating 1/2 my plate. The lobster was cooked just right, but they over cooked my steak. I tried the dragon broccoli, and it was good too. Some at the table tried the fried catfish and others tried some grilled fish choices. Everyone said everything was good. No complains. read more
