First thing I noticed when I sat down was the table still had crumbs, as well as the seat next to me. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress and her shadow that was in training. It took a while to get our water, salads, and biscuits. We ordered the dinner with two lobster tails and baked potato, and the lobster was actually mushy to the point I hoped I would not get sick from it. I certainly expected more for the price you pay, but this establishment has gone down hill. I definitely will not be going back there. We arrived at 3 PM on a Sunday & were told it would be a 40 minute wait. We decided to go to the bar & have a drink while we waited. The bartender never acknowledged us and the bar was full of people waiting for a table. We could not have sat & had a drink if we wanted to. Seating actually only took 10 minutes, they sat us at a table that was dirty & we had to wait for it to be cleaned. Our server, Christian, was nice, but a bit slow on the service. The family & I popped in for dinner on a Saturday night. The atmosphere inside was far better then the atmosphere outside. It wasn't that busy but there were a good amount of patrons. It took about 10 minutes for us to have our drink orders taken, a little annoying but that's fine. As we were waiting for our apps & food order to be taken (which again took way too long), I couldn't help but notice the wall next to us was DISGUSTING! Dried food, splatters of sauce & many drinks all over, it felt uncomfortable just to sit next to it. The single dried noodle on the wall, was so dried & aged that it was translucent. This is NOT the sanitation I expect going into a popular chain restaurant, AND in the middle of a pandemic. The amount of germs that was undoubtedly on that wall. Seating was noticeably & understandably limited but it seems as though cleanliness was limited as well. I won't harp on about the below mediocre attentiveness of our waiter because those experiences differ from guest to guest. The food was good, nothing spectacular. A definite 3/5. My boyfriend and I were starving and never had Red Lobster before but it's safe to say we don't think we will ever return. Service was amazing, our waitress was very nice and helpful in answering our questions. Unfortunately, the food was way below average. We got the 3 course for $15.99, ordered the Lobster Cirque, Mozzarella sticks and the Coconut Shrimp. The Lobster Cirque, we were told had lobster, but we failed to find it and any piece of it and it was just cheese... so much cheese; cheese soup that tasted like american cheese but melted. Absolutely disgusting, we could not take a spoonful after just tasting it. We didn't even know it was the soup to begin with. But, not only that, the appetizers came a long while after we ordered but only about 2-3 minutes later our entrées came by, my expectation was to at least enjoy my appetizer first, but that's fine. Mozzarella sticks were good, cant really mess those up. But the marinara sauce was very strong tasting. Cant comment on the coconut shrimp as it was something we just decided to try and ended up not enjoying. My boyfriend had the Grilled Wagyu Burger and it was bland; They don't go below medium which is interesting, and he said it was well done instead even though he ordered it cooked medium. My Shrimp Alfredo Linguine was ... OILY but decent. We enjoy our visits to Red lobster. Sometimes the place is just way too busy, but this time, we hit it right after the lunch rush, which was nice. And, because of this, the cheesy biscuits we're fresh out of the oven, just right with the generous salad. Hubby had shrimp and clams, with a side of roasted asparagus and I had just shrimp, with a side of roasted green beans and mushrooms. Both of us enjoyed our lunch very much. While I've only checked in at this location once, I've been here multiple times. It's kind of my go to spot when I travel to McAllen. Mostly because I really like the salmon and the 4 course feast for 18.00 is always a nice on the the road dinner deal. The four course includes, soup, salad, dinner and brownie Sunday! Yesssss! The salmon has been consistent each time I come, the clam chowder soup, not so much, but still ok. I enjoy it nonetheless. The servers/ staff have always been really nice. This last time I had Preston and Camilla ( I hope I got her correct). Camilla greeted me and both served me throughout the dinner. Very at-tentative, very friendly and always made sure I was ok and my food was ok. I even watch a couple people be very rude, in my opinion, for no reason and Preston handled the situation very well and professional. Note to the managers which is why I am giving this location three stars, there is always a problem with your tap beers and the staff seem to take the brunt of the beating each time I've been there when management clearly needs to fix the lines. The establishment is clean and I've never really had a wait time and I've come at multiple hours depending on when my flight gets in. The location is close to the airport and shopping area so it's easy to get to. read more

The service at this location was atrocious. When we arrived we were seated at the very back of the restaurant when there was ample amount of seating throughout the front of the restaurant. When we were seated at the last booth, a very rude waitress named Monica took our orders. She was very short in tone, rude and uninterested in our questions about the menu. Naturally throughout our visit she continued her rude behavior and even spilled cheese broccoli all over our table (karma). At the end of the night, we did not feel inclined to tip her due to her rude behavior. Instead we left a dollar. As soon as we walked out, she stopped us and said "here take this back, I don't need it". I would hate to blame our experience on the possibility of our skin color, but I couldn't help but notice her polite behavior towards her other tables.
