My wife and I had dinner last evening at your New Philadelphia, Ohio location. I have to say it was like walking into a different store, there were staff at the door who greated us immideately upon entering and sat us quickly. The waiter was very friendly and prompt and offered sugestions. The meals came out quickly and were delicious. We even decided to split a piece of key lime pie, which was very good, but a bit expensive at $8.99. The place was very busy which we were both happy to see. The food wasn't worth it. The service was ok, but I think the waitress was over-worked. She was barely friendly, though, which was unfortunate. The mashed potatoes and the shrimp were rubbery. They were out of shrimp Rangoon, and they charge extra for salads as a side. Although the Brussels sprouts were very good, and worth the upcharge--although I don't think there should have been one. I'm disappointed in the food overall, but I'm glad my family and I had a good time together. read more

Growing up, this was my favorite "fancy" restaurant to go to. It has truly gone down hill. Every time I have ordered lobster it comes back still clear and slimy! Not only that, but we can't even get properly cooked biscuits. The food is almost always either burnt to a crisp or not cooked fully at all. Any special instructions? you might as well forget it. They're going to ignore it completely every. time. I'm giving it two stars because my server has been wonderfully friendly and super attentive despite having to send so much back. The service ladies were incredible and it's a shame the kitchen cannot match that energy! read more

Overpriced. Lobster was over cooked and broccoli and rice were undercooked, dare I say broccoli was still raw, three biscuits and no salad..I quess you have to pay extra for a salad now. Scallops, although I understand they come frozen state we're....disgusting. read more

I haden't been to Red Lobster in a while, but my work friends decided to give it a try for lunch. The first thing we noticed is my friends knife was covered in a brown something. I was looking at the menu and decided to go with the shrimp linguine on the lunch special which was listed at $16. Then I looked at the normal price...which was also $16. We got our food. My other friend got the coleslaw, and it was so bad he almost threw up at the table. 2 steak dinners were ordered, one was supposed to be medium well and the other medium rare, but both were way over done. And the most shocking thing was my shrimp linguine, the shrimp still have the tails on it. When I told the manager this they said that corporate made the choice of serving that way to save money. WTF! It's a choking hazard!! And no one wants to pick the shrimp out to eat in a shrimp linguine! I ate almost none of it because it was bland and picking the shrimp out was dumb. Got the bill and it had my shrimp linguine on it for $18.99. The manager fixed it and was super nice, but this was easily the worst restaurant experience I've ever had and this company needs to fix their terrible business practices. No wonder they keep going bankrupt. read more

Was horrible. Went to lunch with my daughter and husband and it was nasty, overcooked, and the lobster was very small on each of our plates. The salmon had no seasoning. The shrimp and scallops were rubbery. The only thing decent was the baked potatoes and brussel sprouts. The reason I give it a one is the service was great. The food is way overpriced and when you spend $150 you should get quality. Fire your day cook. Gross food. The biscuits were hard too. read more

I really like how they'll make their signature Cheddar Bay biscuits without cheese for my wife because she's lactose intolerant. One thing that disappointed me was how our server didn't know how to bring out Johnnie Walker Black neat and my glass of Coke tasted weird. We'll still be back though, we love the food. read more

Started off with a nice salad that was served with the biscuits that they are known for. The biscuits were light and fluffy and at the perfect temp to tear into. The wait staff joked about me being so quiet and made it a nice dinner before the meal even arrived. I ordered the Atlantic salmon with broccoli and asparagus. The plating was nice. The broccoli was a little over cooked but still good. The asparagus was ok. Not enough seasoning but still good. The salmon was cooked beautifully and had a nice layer of flavor on the bottom. The meal came with one lemon slice which for my taste isn't enough but I made due. All in all it was a good meal and I will be coming back for more. read more

Normally, everything is to my standards here at the New Phila Red Lobster. However today's visit was less than to be desired. Our server, Nicole, was great; I have nothing poor to say about her. However, if you're going to change your menu items: it should be listed as so on your menu. I get the same thing EVERY time I come. As a reoccurring patron, I expect consistency. I normally order the Bar Harbor Bake. They replaced the scallops with some 'miniature marshmallow sized knock-offs' that were absolutely grotesque in texture and SEVEN of the mussels weren't even cooked properly. If I'm paying top dollar for my food I EXPECT QUALITY. There was no wine reduction in the sauce. It literally tasted like oil and fucking WATER. I will never eat at this location again.. the waitress is lucky I know this is probably a fault of management and kitchen-staff otherwise she would have been out of a tip. I could go on about the dirty silverware and baby-sized portion of overpriced mashed potatoes and so forth but I've already wasted enough of my energy on this establishment read more

Food ok. It is Red Lobster so didn't expect much. Service was horrible. Never got ketchup we asked for for our 4 year old. She only came to our table to take our order & drink order at the same time. Brought our food & the bill. Didn't check on us & after waiting for the bill for 15 minutes, it took another 15 minutes for her to come back & get it. i went there today with my best friend. he was in a wheel chair..and i have to say the waitress?? was the absolute best waitress i think i have had the pleasure of serving me in years.. she made my experience wonderful for that?? i would give the restaurant a 5. but for food quality? it was all so covered in butter i couldnt taste anything else. i tried to order healthier choices on the many..and there was literally so much butter on everything..that no way could i be healthy if i tried..i got grean beans..served cooked in butter... i got crab legs..served with butter..i got non fried shrimp..served literally drowned in butter..my mouth is just caked with it..i thought red lobster was somewhat of a finer dining type place for the price?? i wasnt impressed..the decor was very outdated..its sad enough the t county people who want to actually go and wear heels to go out to eat dont have much to pick from..but the few places that are SUPPOSED to be reputable and upstanding..serve food like that smh i also got 3 drinks. a got a cosmo first which was ok...then i got my first margarita which was excellent..then my 2nd and last margarita and it was so terrible..it tasted like they had poured the last of the bag of sour mix in my glass and like half the salt had fell in the glass as well..was NOT impressed with the drinks. like i said..my waitress andi wish i had caught her name but she was the best thing of the day..smiling happy..attentive..made sure to check on us..made sure to try to correct things..truly good at her job. more places need to hire waitresses like her who actually give a crap about their job. if it hadnt been for her this rating would be a 1..and if it hadnt been for the food this rating would be a 5. read more

Our family had a going away dinner here last night to celebrate my niece leaving for the navy tomorrow. I ordered a chocolate martini and when it came, I was not disappointed! It was delicious and my son (yes, he is under age at 17) asked me if he could taste it. I didn't see harm in a tiny sip and without thinking, I let him taste it. Our waitress rushed over and asked to see his ID. I explained he was my son and just took a sip, and wouldn't be having another drink. She explained its policy to see all IDs if you consume alcohol. I understand their policy and was fine with it. I assumed that was the end of it but 10 minutes later, a female manager came to our table and reprimanded me for allowing him to taste the drink. She then grabbed my glass from the table and told me she had to take my drink. I was embarrassed, and truly feel she handled it by trying to embarrass and scold me. I do not allow my son to drink and this was a one time thing that I felt was my decision and was harmless. By the way, i went home and checked and Ohio law states a minor can drink alcohol with parents permission as long as the parent is present at the time of consumption. read more
