Just ate here with my parents and I can't say I was pleased with the experience. I get that it's Red Lobster, that it's a chain restaurant, and I set my expectations accordingly. Service was absolutely garbage. Sat for long periods without our waitress so much as walking past the table. My entree came with "rice and your choice of side" according to the menu, but when I tried to order, I was informed that it came with broccoli and I would need to pay an upcharge to substitute for anything else. Okay, sure whatever. Asked for dressing on the side for my salad and it instead came drenched. When the entrees did finally come, mine had about a teaspoon of rice on the plate. Asked if that was really the amount that came with my meal and was told that it was "just there as a garnishment." What? Was ready to order coffee and dessert, but the server came over and plopped the check down instead. Food was about what I expected, so no particular complaints or praises there. But, I was totally impressed with this location, food, and service! We went with another couple last Sunday evening. We were seated promptly and our waiter was upbeat and personable..They have a seasonal menu called Island Escape.. We all ordered the "Island Seafood Feast" .. It had a perfectly cooked Lobster tail, crab legs, grilled shrimp and a scrumptious Coconut Shrimp with tropical glaze.. We can't forget the great cheese biscuits and salad that comes with the meal....Everything was very yummy, we were stuffed and enjoyed our meal.. Dom our server was great and the food was awesome as it always is. I love this location in comparison to the one in Lake Grove simply because it's closer to home and doesn't get as crowded...at least when I go. The only downfall and annoying part was there were flies flying around our food throughout our dining experience. It was just a little bothersome to have to keep trying to sway flies while eating. Started with the biscuits then graduated to the lobster bisque - unfortunately when it arrived the soup was luke warm, I had to rush to eat it as it became cold pretty fast. The soup was creamy - I expected a chunk or two of lobster but it never appeared. I also had the seafood pizza it was cheesy and flavorful. So the wife and I decided to grab a bite after work and red lobster was pulled outta the hat. After about an hour of appetizers and drinks our meal finally came. My dinner was on the verge of being very cold so I could only eat a small portion of it. My wife on the other hand enjoyed her meal aside from the wilted vegetables. Our waitress was polite and professional and Melanie the manager came over and made our night buy not charging for my meal and an appetizer. It might have been because my family and I came during peak hours, but the restaurant was pretty dirty when we walked in. The waiters and servers seemed stressed. Once we were sat down, the waiter was very nice but the preparation it took to get our space ready was a mess. They didn't notice we had no utensils until we got our food, the table actually smelled like a used rag with bleach and had wiping streaks on them. All other tables around us still had dirty dishes on them and I thought for a busy restaurant they would have a better system but I digress. Awesome service and awesome food. Had a waiter named Dan who was both chill and funny. The quality of the food was anything but sub par and the service Dan gave was anything but mediocre. God has given Dan the gift of serving and genuinely caring about people which is hard to come by in most servers today. This was a very decent meal. It was convenient as we went later in the afternoon around 10 PM. I overall was happy with my meal, but was disappointed in the lobster, shrimp roll which was not photographed. It is a starter and shareable. Had made reservations for New Years Eve with the family and friends. Place was not too busy but even with a reservation, I still had a 20 minute wait. The table we were offered was not suitable for the 5 of us as it was a half booth half table. They had to add a chair to the table side which was constantly being bumped all night. Took another 20 minutes to be greeted by the waitstaff. Orders were placed drinks were brought out. After we finished our salads, I started to notice the amount of time that was passing and never saw the waiter. Our drinks were all empty we were out of biscuits etc. Finally after at least 30 minutes our entrees showed up but some were incomplete. We asked for refills on the drinks and was promised the rest of the order would be out soon. Again, the waiter was a no show. We ate what we had, never got the rest of the food or any drink refills. As we were getting ready to leave the waiter shows up with the drinks and still no rest of the food. We refused them and left. If not for the fact that we could pay the bill on the little tablet things on the table, I have no doubt we would still be there waiting. Horrible experience. read more

The Wife wanted to go to Red Lobster so I checked out the reviews of the local locations and found this one with 3 stars & figured it must be better than the Nesconset location. Firstly we were seated in the booth next to the Entry doorway of our area. The meal ? The Wife ordered the Lobster Lovers Dream which she said was okay. I ordered the Surf & Turf -- the steak was rather small but properly cooked -- the Lobster was a Joke -- a dried out piece of meat without any sign of moisture -- I'll give the Bacon Wrapped Scallops an Okay -- they were tasty and well prepared -- the killer in the meal was at the end when we ordered coffee's -- Actually it was the color of dirty dishwater -- it was very very weak -- I filled the spoon and displayed it to our waiter who appeared surprised and went to check out what had happened -- 2 minutes later coming back and saying whom ever had put the coffee up to brew did not push the filter with the grinds in far enough and most of the coffee never made it into the pot -- What Ever ! All in All I'm glad it all went down the way it did -- I did not want to go in the first place, but being our Anniversary I was kinda obligated to appease my Wife -- Now I have the perfect excuse to never go back there again by simply reminding her of this Visit. We use to enjoy going here to Red Lobster but found the overall flavor of the food lacking in more recent years, the shrimp in many dishes to be quite small considering the price paid. Never had a staff problem. Wish they would change their menu a bit. Sauces are rather heavy and oily. read more

We were skeptical about coming here with some of the reviews which has pushed me to post this review. Two of us were greeted warmly by the hostess. We chose to sit at the bar to eat our dinner. The bartender was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. Our salad came out in chilled bowls (very important!...hate a salad being served in a warm dish!). So, let me start this review by saying that I am not a big fan of chain restaurants, but my husband and I had been given a gift card to Red Lobster and decided to use it the other night. We wound up going in on a Monday, which is apparently endless shrimp night. I ordered the shrimp and my husband got the Ultimate Feast. Both of us thought for the prices we would be left hungry but absolutely not!! (The endless shrimp is literally endless in case you wondering) Our server Kathy was an absolute pleasure, very sweet and attentive. I figured there would be a long wait in between when you can order more shrimp but again I was pleasantly surprised. Kathy was right there as I finished the first order to see if I wanted more. I wound up only getting two orders anyway because I was so full, but it was nice to know if I had wanted a third that the option was there! The lobster and crab in my husbands dish was BANGING. Juicy and not over cooked at all. While not somewhere I would have ever thought to go for a night out before, I am so happy I received the gift card and was able to be so pleasantly surprised!!! Not so impressed with this location. I just moved in down the road and the choices for a quick pick up dinner are limited in this area, basically Red Lobster, Smokey Bones and Subway. I ordered online a half hour ahead of time, was a bit late arriving and still had to wait 10 minutes for the kitchen to finish it. I was surprised to see 5-6 huge pick up orders waiting on the bar at 5pm on a Tuesday, so I took that as a good sign of the short wait. I got home to find out that they had only included one of the two sides that come with the entree. Despite having supposedly just come out of the kitchen, the salmon filet was barely warm and the mashed potatoes completely cold. No coleslaw to be found. One of my cheddar biscuits (to-go entrees only come with two) was significantly smaller than the other and almost entirely burnt. I probably wouldn't opt for pick up or delivery from this location again in the future, as there is no opportunity to fix mistakes. While there was nothing particularly 'wrong' with the food I did get, they just seem careless, disorganized and inconsistent. read more

When we first walked in the hostess kept staring at my daughter and our host did not come over for about ten minutes. The air quality was very bad and had trouble breathing. Red Lobster is clearly a chain. However, it's a step above Applebee's and Fridays etc. The food is very good. The warm biscuits they serve as an appetizer are famous for being so delicious. On my recent visit I had snow crab legs. This came with a salad and overall left me feeling very full. The only complaint is I enjoy my crab meat right out of the pot and warm. Why do I forget how bad the food is and keep going back? Steamed oysters were inedible, rubbery and teeny. Lobster bake was drowning in oil. The bay scallops were overcooked. Friend ordered fish and chips. There was no batter whatsoever on the fish. It was literally just a pan fried filet of something. So overpriced and crowded!
