Haven't been to Red Lobster in several years. Their menu has changed a lot and they offer far more than I ever remember. We went in a party of 11 and got a private back room. Our waiter was great and very friendly and the food came out hot. Overall a good experience, it gets a 4 Star because it's a large chain so the food is always a little bland. They don't get a 5 Star because places like Blue Water Seafood exist. read more

This is just sad. The garlic cheesy biscuits are no longer cheesy or garlicy. They used to have salt baked potatoes. No longer. They even changed the batter on the shrimp. Heavy and tasteless. I know it's hard to believe, but red lobster used to be quite tasty. read more

This is not so much a critique of this location, as it is, their AYCE endless shrimp special. The shrimp are small, at least 31 size, and heavily, heavily breaded, with very little flavor and taste! They remind me of the little generic brand frozen box shrimp, one would buy at the local grocer. Tiny baked potatoes, minimal salad, and they've even found a way to make their Cheddar Bay Biscuits, smaller. Purely incredible that this place has been existing, since 1968!!! The service was great, restaurant was clean and decorated, nicely, but just an overall bad product, compared to the quality, advertised. I only give one star, for cleanliness and service. Amazing. I have never had such a wonderful rush of tastes dazzle my palette. The antiquity and nostalgia of looking at your live food before it is put in the kitchen is astounding! When I went in, I expected a run-of-the-mill seafood place! The lobster is so rich and expertly boiled, and the delicate drizzle of butter adds a delightful creamy flavor! Red Lobster was so great the other night. It was my birthday and we called Red Lobster and they only had a few minutes to closing. They took the order for six anyway. The food was delicious. The biscuits and mozzarellas sticks were great. We got popcorn shrimp and shrimp trios. Everybody said the food was delicious. Are here two times in the past month while staying at the Hampton Inn. Just what you expect...great service and food. Very consistent with the Red Lobster brand. Seems like a fun place to work where people enjoy providing great service! I like how the kitchen is open to the restaurant yet the kitchen noise isn't disturbing. My wife and I dropped by Red Lobster, The Woodlands, after visiting our son and his lady in the hospital for complications with the birth of our GrandSon. She is 7 months pregnant, and was having severe complications. They have abatted and she will likely give birth to a healthy baby boy, soon. We needed a Break! We live on a fixed income and can't go full bore on dining out, but we decided to split the Seafood Feast. Our waitress was helpful, attentive, professional and friendly. The FOOD was more than enough for the two of us, and it was a DELIGHT to feast upon. We left totally sated appetite-wise and dining-out wise. We left feeling as if we had enjoyed a wonderful dining experience and were glad we chose Red Lobster for that experience. We hope is will be the same on our next visit. Where do you go when you want a server who cannot remember the 3 beers on tap? Red Lobster! Speaking of beers. My first one was horrible. Have you ever had draught beer that tasted like it just came from the bar mat? Well I have, and I sent it back. I hate sending stuff back, but when a beer smells worse than my hockey equipment bag I wouldn't give it my worst enemy, that is just wrong. A poor tasting or smelling draft beer is reflection of a restaurants attention to detail when cleaning. To get to this point of a crappy beer there are usually one of two reasons. Both resulting from poor cleaning. The first, they probably haven't flushed the beer lines or cleaned the faucet since they opened. When you neglect that, you get bacteria built up and mold which gives you the foul smell and taste. The second, they use a 3 compartment sink to wash their glasses. You see it at every bar, but when you do, get a bottle. Those sinks do not provide the necessary sanitization for a draught beer glass. The glass has to be extremely clean free from any chemicals, and more importantly the ladies lip stick from the hour before. A high temp dishmachine does the trick. Please tell every bar you go to, they need this behind their bar. It does 2 things, better product, and more yield because you have a CLEAN GLASS. And that my friends is why my second beer was from a bottle. First I had the gumbo. Nothing unique to it. Bland. Second I had the Chesapeake Platter (sic) with an extra skewer of shrimp. Again, nothing too exciting, except for being a seafood restaurant I would expect a higher quality of shrimp on the skewer. It was slightly bigger than a sea monkey. I actually went here twice during a business trip where I was staying at a nearby hotel. This location has the kitchen in open site to most of the diners and it's NOT a good thing. As I waited for my order I watched the staff work in the kitchen. Both the young man and women that where cooking where flirting and constantly touching their faces and hair. I actually thought they were calling in a order because they were on their phone so much. They would put their phones in a rag as they tried to keep a low profile but the manager didn't notice because she was to busy being useless and bothering everyone at their tables asking if everything was alright. Lady!! Take care of the bus route before you ask everyone if they are enjoying their ride to a place they don't want to go. I actually could hear the loud dialogue between the two flirty "cooks" as one complained about his baby momma and their son etc. I actually never thought of red lobster as a dump but this place has changed my mind. I should have known the food was frozen and just needed to be heated up and thrown on a plate. Today July 10 at 830pm I went to eat dinner with my wife, I really enjoyed eating at red lobster but the awful experience I had today I can say I will never go back to red lobster my salad had a bug mixed in with the dressing I let the manager know what happened and she just said how sorry she felt about the situation and that she thought it might be an ant and she did not understand how it got into my plate. Stopped in for an early dinner with my kiddos about 330pm today. We were greeted by the manager at the door and it was a sincere greeting. I was surprised by this and the pleasant and attentive attitudes of all the staff during our visit. I usually don't notice that at too many places anymore except chick-fil-a. Our waitress was fantastic. Great service and just a great person. The food was excellent also. We had steak, lobster and shrimp. All of it was as we ordered and tasted great. We couldn't have asked for a better visit. I do wonder if the quality was higher because we went early, but that doesn't change the fact that this was a well run place and an awesome experience when we went. We came here for lunch the other day and had an enjoyable meal. The service was prompt and he checked on us regularly through the meal without being obtrusive. I had the 4-Course meal for $14.95: New England Clam Chowder, House Salad, Shrimp and Scallops Linguine and caramel cheesecake. The chowder was pretty good and had nice flavor. The salads here are always good especially with the cheddar biscuits. The linguine was pretty good as well. The scallops, and shrimp for that matter, were pretty small. The cheesecake was also a smaller portion, but for lunch I am not complaining. My wife had the coconut shrimp and they were pretty good. I haven't been to a Red Lobster in over 30 years. The last time was in South Florida where there is an abundance of great seafood restaurants, so I was bit snobbish about going here but my wife said I would be surprised. And I was. We went this last Sunday afternoon, it was rainy and cold outside. The place was welcoming, warm and cozy, the decor definitely better than what I remember and very clean. Our waitress was as accommodating and friendly as possible and she definitely added to our great experience. I wish I had gotten her name. My wife ordered the endless shrimp and I got the Admiral's platter. As is usual for me in these types of places I expect to be underwhelmed by the servings but I was extremely surprised. My plate was huge and I had to work to eat it all, I have a bottomless stomach. They brought out a huge serving of shrimp for my wife. She let me taste the ginger sesame shrimp and I was blown away, it was flame broiled. My wife ordered one more serving of shrimp just to taste it and the waitress let us take it all to go. I'm not sure if the seafood here is fresh or frozen but I had no complaints on the quality, the fish was light and delicate and the shrimp were plump and tasty. All in all I was very satisfied and will definitely return. read more

We took Grandma/Mom to Red Lobster because it is her all time favorite place to eat. I have to admit we weren't so very excited but we will do anything for her, especially for Mothers Day! We called ahead to reserve a table for 7 and arrived to a packed restaurant 35 minutes later. The hostess greeted us warmly and let us know that our wait would be about 5-10 minutes. She was accurate and we were amazed. Our server, Cody, was professional, charming and one of the all time best waiters we have ever had. Surprise! Probably the best seafood meal I've had in years. Wood fired scallops, lobster, and shrimp were lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked. Fresh steamed Maine lobster was excellent. We enjoy coming here at least once a month. The staff is always happy to help, regardless of the request. As silly as it sounds, my little daughter likes her straw cut down to make it easier for her to drink - I asked the waitress if she could cut it down and she agreed. The manager brought it back and helped my daughter get it situated in the cup for her to drink. How sweet is that? Super kid friendly. We are not super snobs when it comes to what we eat, and even if the seafood is frozen, it still tastes good to us. Having moved here from California and living by the beach, I've had my fair share of fresh seafood. I can tell the difference, but it's not bad. Some of these reviewers make it out like you're shoveling manure covered fish into your mouth. There is a bar in the center near the back for the adults. Good stuff =) We enjoy it.
