I'm not a big fan of Red Lobster because my meal ends up being a big carb fest filled with sopping buttery entrees and I always leave thinking, "Ugh, there goes the diet"...but my son always begs to go here since he loves seafood-so I gave in. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms but honestly, please pass on these, they're a goopy fattening mess. I've been spoiled eating the stuffed mushrooms at Perry's. The cheesy muffins they bring out of course are heavily and irresistible and delicious. The clam chowder was super tasty and I'm sure not part of the slender diet menu either. Mr. G had the mussels and gave them the thumbs up-he was given a nice size bowl with toasted baguette and he ate them all up. Kids menu had great choices and my mini gourmet opted for the crab legs with broccoli which was a hit. My other son enjoyed some grilled chicken. Time to exercise some will power or start ordering off the kids menu, avoid tempting entrees because there are some healthy options here, but it will be hard to pass up those yummy biscuits. I stopped in since my son wanted crabs specifically, and it was close to another stop I made nearby. Loved the fact that there was outdoor seating on such a beautiful day and not crowded. When we entered the restaurant, we were warmly greeted and quickly seated. I was also surprised at the added drink choices such as the various flavored smoothies; they were delish. I also enjoyed a nice mango daiquiri as well. :D Our server was really nice as well. He was energetic and very helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The service at this location is beyond amazing. Our waitress Rose was extremely tentative and made our experience absolutely wonderful. The reason I give Red Lobster a 2 star rating is due to the lack of menu items to choose from. I'm not sure if they recently had a menu overhaul but I remember this franchise having multiple options to choose from. I was looking forward to a chicken dinner with shrimp skewers or something along those lines. The only options you have if you want variety (items besides seafood) are the appetizers. Other than that, there's an extremely small section in the menu that has three steak options and one chicken option. Overall if you're just a seafood fanatic then this is the place for you. We have eaten here many times. You can't beat the endless shrimp! Fried, grilled skewers, Scampi, coconut & a couple more to choose from. My wife always orders the crab legs, as she doesn't eat as much as I do. The service is excellent. Our server often helps my wife to break out the meat from the crab legs because she only has very limited use of one of her arms. I really appreciate the help! It allows me to give my fingers a rest & deal with the shells on my own food. I enjoy cocktails sometimes, but I miss the lighthouse glassware that you used to get with your drink, because you could take them home. I would love to get a few more of those from years past, as the styles would change from time to time. Anyway, Red Lobster might be a chain that's been around since I was little, but I have always enjoyed their food (Cheddar Bay Biscuits! mmmm). This store is one of my go to places for seafood. Our waiter was inattentive and one of our lobsters was dry and GREEN inside its tail. We complained about the lobsters and the manager comped it and gave us another entree. One of us had a steak and it wasn't very good. The crab was an exception - very good. All of this is ok - subpar waiter, a bad lobster rectified by management. I wrote this review because as we were leaving we saw this mousetrap on the table, which is a little gross. Last night, my family was really needing a treat since we've been eating in a lot due to the coronavirus concerns and have been feeling down about things. My wife was out picking up groceries and decided to treat us (me, my 18 yo son & 14 yo daughter and, of course, her) with some take out seafood. (We also wanted to give some business to a local restaurant to help them survive this downturn.) I told her to just pick for us and we would be very happy with whatever she brought home. I just want to say that the food was awesome and the Red Lobster staff did a great job at packing it all up. It did take longer than normal (~30 minutes) because they are having so little business that they have shifted to only cooking to order. That is totally understandable and may have contributed to the high quality of the food. My daughter had a fried seafood platter and she enjoyed the shrimp and fish. She wasn't wild about the clam strips, but she's a bit particular. My son and I had the "shrimp three ways". My wife chose Shrimp Scampi, Shrimp Pasta and Fried Shrimp. We had sides of broccoli and mashed potatoes. All three shrimp dishes were very good. The fried shrimp were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside and the shrimp scampi were tender and the garlic/lemon/butter sauce was totally delicious! The shrimp pasta was also very good, with plenty of shrimp and a creamy sauce. The mashed potatoes had little chunks of potato in them and were the right level of creaminess. The broccoli was cooked just crisp-tender, very tasty and an appealing bright green. My wife had the entree-sized coconut shrimp and she said it were delicious. We all had a much-needed pick-me-up in the form of delicious seafood. Many thanks to the staff of Red Lobster! Keep it up, guys! Red Lobster is not what it used to be. Went there New Years Eve and they were dead. So the service should had been spot on. We pretty much had to beg to get our dinner biscuits. I order the lobster salmon and shrimp and it was served pretty much cold. My girlfriends plate was good however. I think he forgot to put in our drink order. It came way late. Went to lunch here with my family today. I've done a marketing project on Red Lobster in my Global Marketing class but ironically this is the first time I've stepped into a Red Lobster. Granted, I'm not a huge seafood fan but I love me some fried shrimp. I also love their cheese-filled biscuit, they are quite addicting!! The restaurant is clean and our waitress was nice and friendly. She recommended the Lobster, Artichoke and Seafood Dip which tasted like Spinach and Artichoke dip with Lobster. It was yummy in the tummy. I had the Shrimp Your Way with coconut shrimp bites and fried shrimp. Each lunch special excluding the quick catches comes with a Garden or Caesar salad and one side. My Caesar salad was swimming in dressing and was overly salty. As a fried shrimp lover, I was quite disappointed. The fried shrimp was mediocre and the coconut shrimp was way too sweet. The coconut flavor was overwhelming and the pina colada sauce it came with made it taste more like a dessert than a meal. My dad had the wood-fire grill salmon and it came in a generous portion although the salmon was a bit tough. To compensate, it was the most flavorful salmon I had ever had and you could really taste the wood-fire grill flavor. My dad also ordered the lobster tail, I had a bite. It was juicy, succulent, and amazing with the butter garlic sauce that it came with. Overall, it's a decent restaurant, the food is very flavorful. So what began as a fun evening here with Grandma, ended in a hot mess. Now, the food was pretty good overall but let's get in to the nitty gritty. I ordered Champagne-special occasion. The bottle was unopened and flat? Not sure how that happens. No worries, they brought another. I let it go.... I had crab legs, super messy- to be expected.. however, i didn't use the gooey butter sauce and when our waitress came to get the plates after our meal, I said let me stack this. I stacked the plates a little to help her and the butter sauce was slightly tilted. I said, do you have it? She said, oh yes, it's good, I've got it. Then, splat! Enjoyed a very nice dinner, good food and good service. We had their $15 Feast, which was more food then we could eat. We now have lunch for tomorrow :-) From our appetizer to the desert, all the food was well-prepared and very tasty. It is obvious, that management emphasizes the importance of memorable service to all their staff. We enjoyed it. The place was super clean and our waiter was very friendly and professional. We ordered mussels for an appetizer and they were delicious. As well as my lobster and shrimp roll. The only issue I had was the fact my lobster bisque wasn't "bisque" at all. There were no pieces of lobster to be found in it. It had the consistency of nacho cheese.. in fact it tasted as if it WAS nacho cheese with 3 or 4 shots of brandy added into it. I was extremely disappointed. Riddle me this: What happens between the time you are pleasantly greeted and invited back to dine at Red Lobster!?!?!? The Answer: NOTHING. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy did we stop here, we were devastated at the freshness of the food. I promise you the food is straight from a freezer bag. Warning the size and juiciness portrayed in the picture is completely false advertisement. My mother and I debated back and forward about what we were going to eat after passing up many places we landed here. We truly wanted to give Red Lobster a chance because they make their cheddar biscuits with love and hugs but everything else except for the fresh lobster that the lil boy tapping on the glass in the front trying to get it to walk backwards. lol, no seriously, true story. My mother had the beer- battered fish on a bed of fries cooked in old grease with malt vinegar and I had the traditional fried shrimp and baked potato. It sounds good but, my shrimp was salty and over cooked. There has to be more seasonings than salt. Shrimp is also suppose to be sweet and juicy. All that shrimp on the menu, you would think that shrimp would be amazing. Honestly the best thing was the cheddar biscuits as a compliment to the Cesar Salad we had. The worst shrimp scampi and the soggiest fried shrimp ever. And if they can't find shrimp that is larger than a paperclip along the Gulf Coast you know it's been frozen in some factory in Florida and shipped here in a Ryder truck. Scampi was drowned in icky oily butter and the fried shrimp could barely hold up to the red sauce I had to slather on it to eat it. Why did I go? My Godson - bless his heart - loves Red Lobster. I've got to start just saying "no" when he recommends Red Lobster and take him to try some real seafood along the Texas Gulf Coast. Ugh. They price it like it's fresh from the Gulf and cook it like they've never seen seafood before. The baked "loaded" potato had butter and sour cream only. Loaded? Me thinks not. I'm not even going to sicken you with reviews of the rest of our meals. Just hear this: THERE IS BETTER SEAFOOD SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR THE SAME PRICE AND YOU SHOULD FIND IT! Why 2 stars instead of 1? Me and my buddy went over for a lazy Saturday, and honestly, with the best service and the best dishes served. The specific Server - Jason E. Was absolutely great on the welcoming, the recommendations, and the friendliness. We couldn't have asked for a better service and even better food (Complements to the chefs/cooks working the back and a late night shift!). He was greatly attentive, asked on the tasting on the food, and hooked us up on the MOIST bread! The bread was amazing considering that this was my first time being in a Red Lobster. I would say that the price was worth it and my friend and I would definitely come back or recommend anyone looking to try a new place. Respect to the hard working staff in the late shift from the host to the servers and cooks! Would come back to THIS location, especially if you want a decent and easy going night.
