I am a fried shrimp and okra fan so this is my order. The shrimp was good but the crust came off easily when I dipped in the sauce and made me wonder if this was frozen shrimp. We had such an amazing experience at Goode Co. Fish Camp! Instead of ordering traditional entrées, we decided to order a table full of appetizers and share everything and not one thing disappointed. The Gulf Fish Dip and Campechana Crab Cocktail were definitely standouts, and apparently we aren't the only ones who think so because both have been voted #1 in The Woodlands! They absolutely lived up to the hype. We also ordered espresso martinis made with tequila instead of vodka and WOW. So good! Definitely try one this way if you haven't before. But what really made our experience was our waitress, Natasha. She was incredible from start to finish. Attentive, personable, and genuinely so kind to my son. Great service can completely make a dining experience, and she went above and beyond to make ours special. While in town visiting my parents, I wanted seafood and suggested trying this place since I enjoy the GoodeCo Cantina that's close to where I live. We asked for the HH menu to which we were informed that was bar area only. As the prices are great for drinks, it's worth moving to sit there. Our server was very friendly and gave plenty of suggestions for drinks and food. I ordered the seafood skewer so I could try multiple items. We wanted oysters but it as they only had gulf oysters, it wasn't worth rising it with all of the news going on right now. The drinks were good but unfortunately, the food was not good and wasn't something I could finish. I wish I could say that one item from the sampler was good so that I could order that next time BUT I cant. LOL Walked in the wrong door (for their Tex-Mex restaurant), so turned around and headed outside to the other door. Our waiter Pablo was very helpful and I have to say that, overall, we really liked our meal. We started out with the Campechana de Mariscos, reminiscent of a Mexican shrimp cocktail but thicker and not particularly spicy, and very flavorful. I really liked it and was almost sorry that we had decided to share. That Campechana Shrimp has the menu option to add extra shrimp and next time I would do that because I would have liked a few more in there. Honorable mention to their chips which were light and perfectly seasoned. We then decided to share the Gulf Shrimp Remoulade salad and I really liked it because the Remoulade dressing was good tasty, it had lots of shrimp and it was just really a nice bite with their house croutons, pickled onion and tomato. Fried Shrimp (8) platter was pretty good. Their house cocktail sauce was excellent, as was the dipping sauce for the small shrimp empanada on the plate. It came with a side and I ordered the broccolini in white barbecue sauce, but that had slightly too much smoke flavor for me and not enough of other flavors so next time I would probably try something else. I've had better coleslaws. The manager, Ian, came to our table before we were finished and answered questions I had about different things, including their desserts that are all made here. Very helpful and I appreciated his effort, and I should have told him how happy we were with Pablo. Sidenote that the staff was really nice and even the two bus employees were polite and offered to help me when they thought I needed it. I tasted Mr. Picky's Arnold Palmer and thought it was very good. We couldn't decide on dessert and so we decided to order three and share them: house pecan pie, chocolate cream pie, and Key-lime pie. While I liked the key lime and pecan, Mr. Picky's hugged the Chocolate Cream. I'd give this place a "4.5" rating and, yes, we will plan on a return visit. read more

Wow! This was a great meal. We started with the sautéed crab fingers and shrimp cocktail. The sauce on the crab finger I want to eat with a soup. The shrimp were big and fresh and I appreciate they serve it not only with cocktail, but extra horseradish on the side. I ordered a cup of gumbo and the Shrimp remoulade salad which I'm still thinking about. The fresh dill paired with the tomatoes and pickled onions with the shrimp and remoulade have my mouth watering just thinking about it. I finally visited this restaurant after work one day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a nicely decorated and airy version of their locations down in Houston under the name Goode Co. Seafood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a decent selection of various apps, salads, raw bar items, mesquite grilled entrees, fried platters, signature dishes, and po-boys. All of their sides are budget friendly and I liked the sound of nearly every one of them. Even the French Fries with bearnaise sounds fancy. The drink menu is on the reverse side of the food menu and I was happy to see a few rum-based drinks on the cocktail menu. It's about time restaurants recognized the versatility of rum. I went with a Singapore sling since you rarely see this at a seafood restaurant. For food, I tried the roasted oysters and hot chicken sandwich. As the side for my sandwich, I opted for the seafood rice which supposedly contains crab meat instead of fries. Singapore sling - sweet and yellow-colored like a Saturn, but shaken and not nearly as bitter. This obviously did not contain a large amount of grenadine. Oysters - these were a pretty good attempt at roasted oysters, but chargrilled oysters at most restaurants in Louisiana still beat these. GCFC oysters were small and you only receive 5 of them, not 6. Chicken sandwich - The sandwich is pretty good for the few people that will order this at a seafood restaurant. It is a hot chicken as far as the spices are concerned, but using the lowest heat level. Served on a brioche bun with tons of slaw and pickles. The homemade chili oil is not very apparent. On the side, a slice of lemon and a cup of remoulade also comes with this for dipping. The seafood rice side was kind of a disappointment because the bartender made it sound better than it really is. There were no visible pieces of crab in this. Only a few pieces of shrimp actually and lots of green onions. It sounds like I need to return for happy hour when they have several discounts on apps, cocktails, beer and wine. The most discounted items are the raw and roasted oysters, fish dip, boudain and cocktails. One item they have on the HH menu, but not on the regular menu is the yellowfin tuna tostada. read more

We had the most amazing experience with Natasha today- she was incredible tactful and friendly, made lots of great recommendations. We started with the sautéed crab fingers (you need to get this and bring a spatula for that payday butter), gulf shrimp and crab linguine (perfectly charred), Brussels sprouts (light and refreshing, citrusy and punchy), and crab boil potatoes (my godddd you need these in your life- perfectly pillowy on the inside and crackly crisp on the outside... and the key lime. Natasha was so kind and brought our husky a bowl of water without us having to request one - and frequently checked in despite us being outside in the 50degree weather. The food was phenomenal, but Natasha put this stop over the top. We can't wait to come back and try some of the other dishes, and her last favorite side, the charred broccolini. We live in Dallas, but when we drive down to the Houston area, we always have to eat seafood. Our go to has always been Goode Company. This time we tried their Fish Camp in the Woodlands area for an early lunch. Similar menu, more casual, but great, clean, tasty food. We started with ranch water and campenchana. This is still our favorite Mexican ceviche anywhere. For main we had the redfish on the halfshell with crab butter. I inhaled it. We also had the shrimp wrapped in bacon. The bacon was a bit too over powering in our opinon, still very tasty, but we found we ended up taking the bacon off. The brussel sprouts were amazing. Probably some of the best we've had. The potatoes were perfect and the sauce paired great. Overall, a perfect meal. We liked it so much, that we stopped back the same day for some more campenchana on our way back to Dallas and met my Son and daughter in law. They had the same thing and were also impressed. We also got the chocolate bourbon pecan pie to go. I swear, this is the best pecan pie I've ever had. The layer of chocolate at the bottom is the bomb. Our server Garrett was great. I dropped in with my family for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was wide open. The restaurant is very nice - more clubhouse than fish camp - with gulf coast decor and a warm atmosphere. We were seated quickly and were immediately greeted by Leon who took great care of us! For an appetizer, we had the smoked gulf fish which was delicious! Flavor wise, the smoke and citrus came through perfectly and it was accented by the salty and spicy crackers served with the dish. My girls had chicken tenders and fries from the kids menu which they enjoyed. For entrees, I had the redfish on the half shell while my wife had the mesquite grilled skewers. The redfish was fantastic - buttery and citrusy with smokiness from the mesquite fired grill. I didn't try the skewers but my wife said her dish was very good as well. For sides, we had sautéed spinach and crispy Brussels - both also delicious. I especially enjoyed the Brussels, as did my 3 year old - they must be really good lol. Our drinks were the strawberry gin and tonic - the perfect fruitiness from the strawberry, freshness from basil, pulled together with the floral gin. The wife had the reposado espresso martini - on the boozy side but still good. We finished with the homemade pecan pie. I'm a Georgia boy and very particular about pecan pie but GCFC's did not disappoint. Lots of filling piled on a flaky, buttery crust with perfect pecan pieces topping the slice. Thoroughly enjoyed! All in all, we had a great experience and loved the food. The star of the show for me, though, was Leon. He was super attentive and helpful without hovering or being overbearing. The girls loved his friendliness (and the stickers he brought them, of course) and fun personality.
