The hostess said 'we don't have anyone to bus the table for a party of 6...' I don't see how that's my problem. Took forever to get our food. I'd look past that if the food was ok. The chicken Alfredo was way too greasy. Our waitress never came back to our table to see if everything was good or bad for that matter. No refills on drinks. Had to flag down a different waiter to get refills. Then the waitress finally came with the bill. Won't be back. First time I've been there and the last. We had not been to Red Lobster in years and last night's visit reminded me why. The service is still poor and the flavor of the food is bland. I ordered a side of the 1/2 pound Dungeness Crab with my Chicken, with side salad and baked potato. Chicken, salad, potato came with the defacto Fries (he forgot to take it off). 10 minutes later still no crab. I asked about it he said he'll check on it. 10 more minutes later he brings out the crab, apologizes and confesses he forgot to put it in. Years ago we stopped going to RL just due to the spotty service and the only-average food. So they remodeled this place a few years back and we decided to try again. Well, maybe they're stretching their waitstaff too far but the service was still spotty. Wife ordered one entree and then added on another item, but the extra item never came, and only after she asked about it did the waiter apologize and said "they forgot to put it in". Hmm. And this is after a rather lengthy wait initially for the food order... I'd say close to 30 minutes. I went for the forever shrimp or whatever they call it. Waiter kept asking at the other tables around us if they would like a refill to be started but he never asked me. He came back to ask if we wanted two more expensive drinks, we said no, and I said but can I get another shrimp refill? He said yes, then that took another almost 20 minutes. Food was only average again, service not so much, so we're probably not going back. Suggest you head over to the Stockpot on Scholls... they really take care of you there, and about the same cost. read more

I was confused about my check. I was told salad came with the maple bacon chicken but was charged a salad. The waitress said it came with but if you get two sides where was my other side if I was charged the salad? My plate came with the chicken and a potato. I was SO pleased by my first Red Lobster experience. The unlimited cheddar and Old Bay biscuits exceeded expectations and our server was very understanding about bringing us more. I will come back to Tigard just for this Red Lobster. read more

The wait time was grossly unacceptable and long. Over two hours! The restaurant was extremely understaffed, and " inexperienced ". Most of the staff is friendly, with the exception of our waitress. Several other patrons, we could over hear, had complaints consistent with ours. The food was generally very good. But their Red Lobster biscuits were not up to normal R.L. standards. I have been ordering the cold shrimp platter and sides and it's well worth the money. The shrimp platter is loaded with big shrimp that are clean, cooked properly and ready to eat. The Brussel sprouts are to die for. The order is always accurate (we use doordash) which is huge with takeout. I've never liked Red Lobster and there are plenty of things not worth the money, but what I get is always stellar. Kudos to the staff!! read more

Had a long day and decided to treat myself to steak and lobster after a long day. Ask to get seated in the bar so I could watch the duck game which they graciously cleared a table for me. It was down hill after that. Ordered my food, steak medium rare, salad with ranch. Salad came out with no salad dressing as they were out of ranch. Ok, no biggie, I can choose another. The dressing came, at the salad and then the food was brought out. I cut into the steak and low and behold it was medium well, just the slightest touch of pink in the middle. (I know it's not a steak house and I would be happy with anything from rare to medium, but we were past that.). So I am waiting for someone to come by so I could tell them, that my friends was a mistake. It took 10 minutes or so, during that time my lobster was getting cold because the whole point is to eat your steak with lobster, not lobster, wait 10 minutes and then steak. Finally they came by and took my steak, time continued to pass and I finally got it back. This time, it was blue rare. Not rare, but cooked enough for grill marks. They did offer to put it back on but by then I had a lobstercle it was so cold and really just wanted to leave. Just a disappointing experience. But, the upgrade to the potato with the langostino and Norway lobster (whatever that is) was delicious. read more

What a disappointment. My wife and I have gotten good meals and service at Red Lobster before for the most part, but not today. While trying to place an order online, items kept disappearing from the menu in real time. My curbside pickup order was 20 minutes late despite me getting a notice 10 minutes before I got there saying that it was going to be on time. The prices in general have gotten out of hand while the portions have shrunk noticeably. All of the condiments that we used to get were missing this time around. Despite lingering supply chain issues and labor shortages, several other restaurants that we have ordered from this year seem to be having far fewer noticeable problems than Red Lobster is having. It's no longer worth it and we won't be going there again anytime soon. There is too much competition out there doing an overall better job. read more

Went to red lobster and they told me it would be a 15-20 min wait. Then they told everyone waiting it was gonna be a extra ten min added onto the wait time after 35 min of waiting we left and went to a nearby restaurant. Got a text a hour and a half later saying our table was ready! Kitchen staff was backed up apparently. We haven't been here for at least 2 -3 months. We came here for dinner for our Anniversary. The service was horrible. The server was what I call a "drive by" sever. Anything that she had to bring to the table she did by tossing it on our table as she was walking by in a hurry. It wasn't until we finished our dessert that she asked how everything was. I know, I know, Red Lobster is a chain and the food is all Corporate and everything but some days I just need a nice piece of fresh grilled fish and a salad at a reasonable price. The restaurant is huge, dimly lit, clean, welcoming staff - heck this is Oregon, everyone is nice here! It was pretty much everything we expected except for our waiter, Joshua. When you visit, ask for him. I've mentioned in my other reviews that I love when wait staff crouch down to eye-level instead of towering over me when taking my order. For me, it's much less intimidating and personal. Josh did that. We went for lunch on a rainy President's Day. I decided on the half order of wood-grilled tilapia (my first choice was rockfish but they were out). It came with a house or Caesar salad and two sides for $16.95. I opted for the house salad: iceberg, tomatoes, cucumbers, very standard. For my two sides I chose green beans with mushrooms (very tasty) and broccoli (boring). My husband ordered the same thing except he chose the half order of Rainbow trout ($17.95). While waiting for our meal a basket of those addicting hot Cheddar Bay biscuits arrived at our table. No butter needed. Josh kept our iced tea glasses full too. Everything was very nice, just the right amount of food. Just as our table had been cleared, Joshua appears and says "So, are you ready to order lunch?" I send a puzzling look at my husband and we both say "what?" at the same time. Josh, apparently a comedian, breaks up laughing at his own joke. It was pretty funny. You had to be there. Yes, Red Lobster is a chain and yes, your parents and grandparents probably like this place. We had a really fun experience here. We needed a break during the holiday rush and some friends of mine were up to deal with a problem with a storage unit. First off our waitress was incredible. In fact the entire team was great. We ordered a make your own feast and everything was prepared and presented well. The value of the food was also reasonable. It was also really fresh. Red Lobster is known for it's signature biscuits, so I was disappointed that at this location, it wasn't readily available. Upon given a serving, sometime after the entrees were served, there was no chance of getting a second serving of their supposedly "unlimited" biscuits, even as it was only mid afternoon. As for the entrees, the quality seems to have diminished. It used to feel like more care was taken when preparing the dishes, but it appears there is less emphasis on that as well as service. As prices continue to rise, I can only hope I have a better experience whenever I once again feel like giving this brand business. read more

We were there this weekend. The food was ok. We waited a long time, which we expected. However, our entrees took over 45 minutes. I don't normally complain about something like that, but this chain should know how to feed people when they get to a table. Our server was ok. What happened?!! Haven't been here in years and years! The food was overpriced for frozen fish sticks and frozen Maine Lobster tails and crusted over Kraft mac and cheese! Ugh. FIRST: my sister called and put a reservation down for our party of 6. She called at 5:30 and the hostess said it would be an hour. The whole party arrived at 6:30. I went to the front desk to inform them our party was all accounted for. The hostess says okay, it will be another hour wait. I told her we were quoted a hour at 5:30. She said they had a lot of big parties call ahead. I told her that I didn't care because an hour and two hour wait difference is a huge gap and they needed to get us seated sooner. She handed me the remote that alerts us the table was ready. It has a bar code on there that you can scan with your smart phone. It says scan this and play games while you wait. I tried to scan it and it says the page is unavailable. We finally get seated at 715ish. The dinner is going well, our waiter is doing well. Everyone had ordered the never ending shrimp. During the meal, we try and attempt to order another round of never ending shrimp. As we tell the waiter we are ready, he cuts us off and says that we don't get to order again. He said once shrimp is ready he will bring it out. He leaves without us getting a word in. We were confused because we thought we got to choose what shrimp we wanted the second round. Apparently not? This other waitress comes and brings all this chipotle shrimp... We told her we didn't want it and that we didn't order it. She was confused. We explained to her what our waiter had told us. She explained to us that he must of had been confused because we do get to choose. She sent a manager to our table. The manager apologized and took our actual order. A HALF HOUR LATER, no food, no more drinks.. Nothing! The waiter came over and asked if our food had came out yet. UH NO! YOU ARE OUR WAITER! You should have brought us our food! I told him we just wanted to leave and that we wanted our bills. So basically we ordered never ending, did not get it. We got one round then they lied to us, then ignored us. The worst part was it was my Dads birthday and he didn't even get sang to like the waiter said he would. Oh and they didn't even give us an discounts for all the issues.... At least comp a drink? We had my birthday dinner there and the food was wonderful but the best part was our Waiter, Matt, he was amazing!

We have been enjoying Red Lobster restaurants for decades. We know exactly what to expect, and despite staring at the menu each and every time, I always end up ordering the same thing - the Admiral's Feast, the deep-fried, high-cholesterol, artery-choking beauty of a meal. Then, on top of all those calories we enjoy countless amounts of the infamous biscuits. By end of the meal, we are all so stuffed that we need to be rolled out of the restaurant every time. It does not matter when I was 12 or 52, I still am able to get the traditional lighthouse drinking glass and be able to take it home! I love this consistency from Red Lobster, and this is why I will continue to go there for years to come. read more

I have not stepped into a Red Lobster in 25 years? Chains bore the crap out of me. She wanted lobster. I'm thinking ya let's go to Maine then. I also thought ok I'm ordering a whole steamed lobster. We'll just see about all that. (I'm from back east originally. I know my lobster). The one I got? I swear I knew him, very well. He was delicious! Sweet, tender, not overcooked, and plenty of meat. My server cracked it all up for me too. Speaking of servers, she was awesome, and an Oceanography major, go figure right? She was perfect for the job from my malbec wine (which was pretty good too by the way), to our appetizer, salad, and our sides. They totally bring out the food let me tell you. We also got the lobster sauce over our bakers. That topped it all off. My friend? She always sees me checking into places.. she looks at me and says- oh right.. you won't check in here will you? I would never say they have a creative fare, unique dishes or anything like that. It's what it is - a chain seafood joint. And you will probably wait. They have a wait. Always. They don't fake that. If you rate them less for a wait, go...jump off a bridge. So. Pathetic. So we do wait - when we decide to come here we are IN. We WAIT. We want RL food. We WAIT. And the menu is the same, it's predictable. Decently priced seafood. Fresh. I always ys get the seafood lover's with shrimp, lobster and crab. Always. It's a feast that takes some time to muck through, but the servers never rush out the door. Maybe that's why other people wait. Whatevers. It's a chain. It's hokey. But it works. Their biscuits are bomb. The salad is good. The meals are great - unless you are a snob. If you are, go to a $50/pound seafood place and let me know how that works out. I haven't been there for a while I went on January 30th for their lobster fest and boy what a disappointment I ordered the Maine Lobster Tail Duo they were the size of jumbo shrimp not lobster my wife ordered the grilled salmon that was good my daughter ordered the endless chowder, salad and bread and here is the story the chowder which was my favorite back then tested that was made with instant potatoes and corn starch it was disgusting my doughier got one bowl and didn't finish it when she order second salad the server seemed to be irritated the atmosphere a place that used to be full was empty for a reason the food quality is way down that was my last time at the red lobster too bad I really liked that place. read more

Walked in. 5:48 pm. The place was 25-30% full. Sat next to a 4 top. Waited until 6pm before walking out. Never did anyone even make eye contact. In my experience when the servers don't even accknoldge you it will usually go downhill from there. So walk out. Save the money and frustration. It was all right, but not anything special. We give the service respect because the distancing and limited capacity made it very difficult for servers, and our person was excellent given that situation. The new menu is very limited, first time we'd seen that. Partner had shrimp, which was good, and I had fish (one piece only; kind of weak from a quantity standpoint, though good quality) and chips. I didn't have any interest in the fries, and the marinara with the fried cheese was downright watery and lame. The tartar was odd, not terribly interesting. While it was reasonably priced, if this is the new menu we probably won't make this a big priority to return. Props for their pandemic precautions. Nothing to fault there. The main issue was I could have done as well at a Skippers, if there were any around here, or an Ivar's, which definitely aren't around here. The food was pretty decent but super expensive, this was my first time at red lobster and they jack up their prices so much! The lobster is essentially tasteless, thank gosh for the steak on the side. The appetizers were yummy, had some stuffed mushrooms & calamari. No a big fan of the crab rolls but they were pretty moist and not dry like I expected them to be, just not my type of flavor. I'd say it's high pricing because they serve lobster/seafood. But I've gone to seafood boil places for the same number of ppl where pretty much our entire order is all seafood and it's cost less than this place did. I have to say that tonight's experience at the Red Lobster was far better than any of the handful of other times I've been to one. I was searching for a nice seafood (okay, lobster) meal anywhere in the Portland metro area and seeing as how all of the moderately priced places were rated 3 stars on yelp I decided to go with big red. I absolutely was not disappointed. We got there around 5 (on a Friday) and had to wait 30 minutes or so, by the time we left the wait had tripled! The place was *packed*. And rightly so! For a chain restaurant where the freshness/frozen-ness of the dishes is questionable, everything was really tasty. The service was friendly and timely despite how busy it was. We had a really nice manager deliver our drinks and food which was a good touch. I don't know if this place is just amazingly better after the remodel or if my fellow reviewers were in a bad mood or what... but it's clear this restaurant is trying hard to make a good impression. read more

Yummy! Red Lobster so really delicious, would definitely recommend if you are a seafood lover or just like some good seafood. They also have some nonseafood items, for people who aren't big into seafood. The service was fast, but the waitress I had a confortashin with a another person I was eating dinner with. That wasn't great and the rest of the night was a little rough, not only did are witress not do so great, but we also got some of are food raw. We let the staff know, and got a free dessert for how rough the service was. But will go back to give a second chance. read more

I've been seeing ads on facebook about red lobster, which got the craving going. After a couple weeks of wanting to go, we had lunch there last week around 1:30pm, it was not busy at all. Our waiter was nice and did a good job at checking in with us. They had a 4 course deal on Wednesday and Thursday for $15. Choices of soup and salad, 5 different entrees to choose from, and then dessert to finish off with. Both the ceaser salad with a side of ranch and bowl of clam choweder was good. The shrimp alfredo was a disappointment, the sauce was just too much and the flavor was bleh. We were able to take the desserts to go because, we were actually stuffed from the salad, soup and biscuits they provided. Overally, we had a great waiter, but the food quality could use a little work. read more
