Came in for a birthday party for Granddaughter on a Monday evening. The service was great and the food was delicious. I got a bacon cheeseburger and son in law got a chicken salad. He really liked his chicken salad but there were only two small chunks of chicken in his salad at that was at the bottom of the salad. She really liked her salmon entree and it came with mashed potatoes and corn. She had some for lunch the next day. I really liked my burger and I also loved my raspberry cheesecake. I decided to grab dinner at The Cheesecake Factory recently, and I had a really satisfying meal. I always know to expect massive portions here, and I definitely left with plenty of leftovers. I started off with the cheeseburger spring rolls. I loved the crispy, flaky wrapper, and I thought the two different dipping sauces provided a perfect flavor contrast. I could have honestly just eaten a whole plate of these for my meal. For the main course, I went with the meatloaf. I found the meat to be incredibly tender, and I really enjoyed the savory gravy on the mashed potatoes alongside the sweet corn. I also tried the chicken penne pasta. I thought the creamy sauce was well-seasoned, and I loved that they added crispy onion strings on top for a fantastic crunch. I am giving this visit 4 out of 5 stars because, while the food was delicious and comforting, the restaurant was extremely loud and I had a fairly long wait for a table. Me and the crew finished up a long day of field location work in the Portland area, so I figured we'd have a nice dinner. I saw that there was a Cheesecake Factory location here and I've only heard about the place, but never been. I heard that they have a huge menu, like a book to choose from. OK, I figure with 5 different people, they could all find something they'd like to eat here. The interior looks kinda on the upscale side. I guess this place isn't any sort of bargain dining, but we got the expense account, so it's all good. We get seated by our friendly host. Our equally friendly server takes our drink orders. Wow, this is some menu! All kind of stuff, from dinner salads, meats, burgers and tons of dessert choices. I didn't wanna just get a common burger, so I ordered a sort of meatloaf thing. The other girl on the crew ordered a salad and some one else got the burger sliders. Everyone just ordered whatever they wanted, and I'm OK with that. I think if I come back, I'd order something else though. It wasn't bad, just not spectacular. Our food come out in not too much time. They must have a huge kitchen to service a big menu like this. All of our food was tasty and I got no complaints from the crew. It was good to go out to a little more upscale place, but not too pretentious fancy like some French place, and definitely better than a Chinese buffet! Oh Yeah, we all got dessert, cause how could you not at a place called Cheesecake Factory. Yep, pretty decadent and tasty desserts. I'd sure come back here. The Cheesecake Factory is a classic! The place of the menu book, brown bread, and cheesecake slices that equate to your daily caloric limit. There is sure to be something for everyone's tastes with generous portions and endless flow of hot carbs upon request. We came to meet friends on the Friday after Christmas during peak lunch time and were able to be seated without much of a wait. You check in at round hostess stand and you get taken to your table from there. Service from hostess to our waiter were minimally friendly with a mildly chaotic underlying energy due to the busy timing. Although our waiter was patient with us as we navigated the huge book they called a menu to decide on our craving of the day. I appreciated the consistency of the vibe of the restaurant as a chain since you know exactly what to expect from the large columns, stained glass dividers, to the wicker chairs. It has been awhile since our last visit so we were excited for the free pumpernickel and sourdough bread. Unfortunately they had to replenish their supply but that meant hot fresh bread (albeit one was a little burnt). I always get the Renee's Special with the chicken salad sandwich, mixed salad, and soup (clam chowder this time) for its deliciousness and value - although the price keeps increasing it's still worth it since I always have leftovers. My toddler got the kid's meal roadside sliders with fruit and enjoyed that. Our friends really liked the cheeseburger spring roll (an unlikely but tasty fusion) and the favorite of the day was definitely the spicy chicken chipotle pasta. The chicken eas crispy and the sauce was the right balance between tasty and spicy. The price tags are higher but the portions are generous. This is always my stop when shopping at this mall. You will just have to do a few laps around the mall after all the food you eat here and don't forget to get a slice (or 2) or cheesecake to go from their dedicated cheesecake takeout counter! read more

This could be so nice to enjoy the wonderful turnkey burger and chase it down with the legendary cheesecake.... but not here. the atmosphere is just short of a rave. it is a circus. even when you have reservations. the lines snake though the middle, people talking loudly into speaker phones. I've been eating the pasta davinci since 2012 and it's never tasted this bad. It was salty and tasteless at the same time. And it was watery. The server said the recipe was changed- fine. I'm fine with change. But this was not a good one. Yes, the original version could have been creamier, and had more mushrooms. Very, very disappointed. The coleslaw had no dressing, very dry. Broke open fish piece and it was nearly all breading with a small quarter-size piece of fish. Our server was great so I left nice tip. We aren't sure how it supposed to taste but, when it lacked flavor (it's a no for me but, the Bow~Tie noodles were very good~cooked al dente/buttery). We decided on Shrimp Alfredo Linguine (adding one chicken breast it's cost $10 dollars). It was better but, the sauce also was watery (normally thicker) and, I had to add salt and pepper (not impressed at all the pasta this go around) it's definitely a 3/5 because both entrees were very disappointing! Service~We had 2 waitress due to shift change we went during lunch but, going into dinner. But, both ladies were absolutely amazing and very accommodating when needed! Ambiance~The vibes were good but, I wish they would consider adjusting the lighting it feels like a dungeon at times. This year we decided to celebrate a birthday at our local Cheese Cake Factory. As you walk in you are warmly welcomed by their staff. It was not very busy that evening. We had a very nice waitress that greeted us and initially seemed on top of things. We unfortunately we had an average experience . We ordered the Steak Diane, this was the best of the three dishes, I would highly recommended this dish, the sauce and mushrooms were perfect as well as the Steak. From their the other two dishes were fair, the Louisiana Chicken Pasta, looked very appealing, the pasta was fair, not a lot of flavor, the Chicken had a nice breading but did not have a lot of flavor, nice presentation but lacked much sauce with so much Chicken, the dish that was very disappointing was the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich, the chicken was dry and not much sauce on the Chicken, it was at the level of a fast food dish. Over all the cost of the food did not match the taste, on top of this we waiting around 15-20 for the dinner to be served, without many folks in the restaurant . Thankfully the cheesecake slices that we ordered where all amazing, they were so good that I forgot to take pictures. I will also share that during other visits we have had much better experiences , even within the bar area for happy hour. read more

its a shame there aren't many decent restaurants located within the mall, but the cheesecake factory is definitely a nostalgic one for many locals. the menu and/or crowd on certain days can seem very overwhelming - but they have a wide array of dishes to pick from. you can find western, italian, asian, mexican cuisine items as you browse the menu. they also intentionally section off some lower calorie/carb/gf items on their skinny menu. portions i have found are quite hefty, so expect to likely take some home! whether you are stopping in for a quick drink amidst shopping, or dining in, this environment is very family friendly and cozy. the servers are professional, and do well with managing the chaos when it gets busy! read more

On a recent trip to Portland took the Family to to this location for dinner. Wait time was 30 minutes which is not bad for Cheesecake Factory. We got sat in the back which is not a great place to sit as the sounds from the kitchen are overwhelming. Our server was friendly but inattentive. We barely saw her throughout the evening. I got the chicken parm pizza and I would not recommend this. The chicken is ok if a bit under seasoned. Pioneer Square was more likely to encourage you to pop into Din Tai Fung after dropping four figures at Tiffany's. There are exactly two locations of The Cheesecake Factory in Portland, and this is the most heavily trafficked one. Located in the area's most thriving/least dying mall, this Cheesecake Factory lures the kind of business traveler and transplanted suburbanite who seeks comfort in the familiarity of its menu's multiple pages. Its entire purpose its to serve food for every palate that tastes the same in Tigard as it would in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts; Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood; Wayne, N.J.; or at Caesars in Las Vegas. The stained glass and columns are from a kit, the foods are pre-prep, the uniforms are, well, uniform. You don't go here because you're looking for a new experience: You go because you want something you know and either don't have to think about or have memories of that aren't tied to this new, strange place. However, because there are only two for hundreds of miles (the next closest location is Tacoma), it's treated like Disneyland. The family and I were unfortunate enough to be roped into a trip here by extended family who were staying near the mall, and the crowds and lines were akin to people trying to get into Ivar's on a sunny summer day in Seattle when a cruise ship had just pulled in. Considering the baseline, chain-restaurant cuisine you're being offered, there's absolutely no reason to fight this kind of congestion unless you're feeling particularly homesick for your local mall. I have had friends in multiple major cities who've sworn by Cheesecake Factory for various reasons, and this latest trip just confirmed what I thought then: I don't get it. If you have the privilege of living in a place where not only is this not your only option, but where chains like Chili's, Outback, TGI Friday's and their ilk have been actively dissuaded from setting up shop because of the quality of mid-range food offered, exercise that privilege and go anywhere by here. Their lunch specials used to be really a great deal but now the portions are ingredients are greatly reduced. This is the Renee's special - the turkey sandwich is now on a half of a hotdog bun. It used to be a true half sandwich. The salad is just leaf lettuce in balsamic dressing. It used to have onions and tomatoes. The soup was okay but nothing spectacular. Perfectly crispy on the outside, gooey and rich on the inside. A decadent start. For my main course, I went with the Chicken Bellagio, and it did not disappoint. It was a massive portion but every bite was flavorful. Crispy chicken, basil pasta, and prosciutto. And of course, we couldn't leave without dessert. The Chocolate Tuxedo Cheesecake was the grand finale, smooth, rich, and layered to perfection. I like Cheesecake Factory when I'm not sure what I want to eat, when I feel like spending 30 minutes going through a huge menu, like I'm reading a short novel. I actually love that they have a big menu. Whatever I am craving, it's probably on there. My bf and I were done shopping for the night and didn't want to think too hard on where to eat. And I was craving pasta, so we came here, since we were already at the mall. It was pretty busy on a Saturday evening, which I expected. It was about a 50 minute wait, so we waited for a spot to open up at the bar. From when we got there to when we finally got to place our order, it was an hour. I ordered the Chicken Chipotle Pasta and my bf ordered the Jambalaya. The pasta was good and satisfying. I finished mine, and my bf had leftovers. Of my dinner group of 6, not one of us really liked what we ordered. The pasta da vinci had very little besides pasta. The sauce had a good flavor, but was too thin to stay on the pasta. The chicken had a strange texture and didn't taste good. The onions and mushrooms were good, but there weren't many of them. I expected better for $26. Even my kiddo, who has never met a chicken nugget he doesn't like, commented that his chicken strips were dry and not very good. Total bills was $137 for 3 of us. Not worth it. We made a reservation online and visited The Cheesecake Factory in Tigard, OR. Upon our timely arrival, we were neither greeted nor welcomed, and we ended up waiting over 15 minutes to be seated. To make use of our time, we purchased a gift card for friends while waiting. Our server appeared to be generally unhappy, though it was unclear why. It took a noticeably long time for her to bring us water and bread and to take our orders. We ordered our long-time favorite dish, the Bang Bang Chicken & Shrimp, but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment this time. The dish was markedly different in a not-so-good way compared to what we've enjoyed before. Having ordered this dish more than 20 times, this was by far the worst experience. The presentation was poor, and the portion of chicken and shrimp was significantly smaller--just four small pieces each. I understand the impact of inflation and shrinkflation, but this fell far short of even minimal expectations. To make matters worse, the dish didn't taste good, possibly due to a lack of sufficient ingredients. The only ingredient that seemed plentiful was sweet peas, which were overwhelming and detracted from the overall flavor. The plate sat there for at least five .minutes before he could attention from waiter. Our waiter then asked him "did you touch it?" It's my birthday! But no free cheesecake on your birthday unless you sign up the day before. Lame. Menu is incredibly overwhelming and the prices aren't the cheapest on most the menu. It would be great if you had less options and better quality. The salad we had was saturated in dressing and it was a skinny salad and too much dressing to be good. I came here on a Thursday during lunch time. I was seated right away and my server was kind and attentive. I ordered the bang bang chicken and shrimp and a strawberry margarita. I usually get this same dish, but I remember the quality being so much better. Everything tasted stale and as if it came from a frozen package. The rice was a little mushy. The shrimp was so small kind of like the shrimp you find in the frozen food section at the grocery store. The vegetables, especially the zucchini was irregularly chopped and barely chopped through all the way. And the coconut shreds were all clumped up.
