So on the Fourth of July, I wanted to do an American thing and go around to a whole bunch of different chain restaurants. I found myself in Vallejo going around to a couple of them, including Applebee's and the Olive Garden. As it's been a while since I've been to a red lobster, maybe 20 years. The only location I know of is in Antioch. Recently moving to Cordelia, I was able to drop by Vallejo and get a bite of the delicious biscuits. When entering the establishment, it's pretty clean very dark and we were greeted and instantly by the front desk. We like to sit at the bar so we went over there. There aren't many chairs available seating, but the place was completely dead. The bar itself is pretty weird, they have a bar in front and drinks are made to the side of the bar in the kitchen. When looking over the menu prices have definitely skyrocketed. I went ahead and ordered myself a baked potato that was topped with crab and lobster. I asked for a side of melted butter and let that drizzle over the baked potato. That was reasonably priced as it was just aside. We had a few cocktails. I had their spiked lemonade that was on the happy hour menu, but it was totally sweet and lacking in alcohol. We didn't sit around in order other items as we just came from Applebee's and had a full meal there. Our menu is a great year. If you're looking for some great seafood, I will tend to go outside of the layout and go to a real seafood restaurant. read more

The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you expect when you're craving seafood done right. Everything came out hot and seasoned just right, no complaints at all. Hadn't been in a while. We were craving some seafood and cheddar biscuits so we decided to come for dinner. We came in on. Saturday evening and it wasn't that busy. We were seated pretty quickly. Aniyah was our waitress and she provided excellent service. The biscuits were hot and fresh. I got the sailors boil with the RL signature butter it was delicious. I would definitely get this again. My husband got the all you can eat shrimp and was happy with those. I got the high tea with henny. It was not strong, alcohol was definitely lacking. Feb 27, 2026 4.0 stars 2:00 PM Wife and I stopped in today for our main daily meal as it is Good Friday and she observes those. The place was pretty empty and quiet with the exception of some table bussing noises. The hostess sat us adjacent to another party, but we asked and we're put a table length away for privacy. The hostess did manage to sit another party adjacent to us when I wasn't looking. :'( We started filling our bellies on those addictive complimentary buttery bisquicky muffins while we waited for our meals. The Catholic ordered the Lobster And Shrimp Linguini ( very rich with an abundance if shrimp and some lobster bites) and a cola. I ( the Protestant) ordered the Fish And Chips (a nice fish portion with two small Hush Puppies to boot) not for religious reasons, but because I have been wanting this and H Salt Fish and Chips in San Pablo is closed. Our bill came to $61.15 before tip. Service was friendly and efficient from Azara. On a useless side note. Azara reminds me of CNN'S Abby Phillip a bit. It's a compliment. We shared one and a half serving baskets of those muffins and in the end we had a few muffins and a serving of Linguini to take home. We both left satisfied and full. I have not been to Red lobster in years but came here specifically to try the new seafood boil. Our service was okay our server forgot a few things but was very nice and apologetic. We came in the middle of the week so it was pretty empty and we were seated right away. The boil itself was pretty good we got both seasonings in our boil and the old bay Parmesan on the side. It is not the same as if you were to go to boiling crab but is pretty good deal for the price and will satisfy your craving. It is enough for two people if you also get an appetizer on the side. We opted for the calamari it was really good but unfortunately came out a bit cold because our server forgot to grab it. The vibe inside is dark and the time we went it was pretty quiet. Tried some new menu options. Got the Mariner's Seafood Boil with the Cajun butter. It was good. We did ask the server got more spice, but I needed to get a little more. We celebrated my birthday here yesterday 1/27/26. Spent $135. Food is okay, the sirloin cooked it in medium but the meat inside is dry and looks like it's old , SURF & turf for $43 is not worth it if the sirloin will be like that. I like the linguini though , fish & chips is good for the price plus I love the Complimentary biscuits . Please management, try to check your front desk/receiving area. There was a smell when you enter the restaurant right when you open the door, I am not sure if it is their RESTROOM or the LOBSTER TANK infront. Nasty smell that will ruin your appetite if you stay longer at the front desk. When seated, ambiance is okay I give it 8/10. My son took me for dinner here last night. The food was OK. So we shared the all you can eat shrimp 3 types. We'll my son ordered coconut and scampi an i ordered coconut too and asked me what side I wanted? This started my confusion. The lady said we could have all 3. So first out was coconut shrimp and noodles. We'll she didn't tell me that plate was both of our coconut shrimps like 8. My son was in restroom. When he got back, he says that's mine. Its been a while since I've been to a red lobster. I like the new changes to the menu. I got the crab dip, the salmon bowl and cheesecake. I have to admit the Soy-glazed salmon bowl was DELICIOUS, light in flavor but delicious nonetheless the less!!!Perfectly cooked salmon and I loved that it came with 2 veggies and a rice! Crab queso was nice and savory better than the lobster dip to me. And ooo oh the cheesecake yum! Fresh strawberries on a classic cheesecake. Much better food and service than a couple of years ago when I vowed to NEVER return due to awful food and service. I read there's a new CEO that made big changes in the menu and decided to go there with friends. My biggest complaint was that whoever did the cooking was heavy handed on the salt shaker. Appetizers of stuffed mushrooms and fried calamari were over salted. The filet mignon ordered came cooked to perfection but totally inedible due to salted seasoning approaching salt lick proportions! The seafood boil ordered by my friends was not overly salted. We had excellent service and when I complained about the steak and mentioned the old baked potato they quickly responded and our server returned with a fresher potato and a less salty steak. I remember the days when this place was always packed and being excited to come here. The ambiance alone gives it a nostalgic feeling. Let me start by saying that the service we received was excellent. We were seated right away and our server was friendly and helpful. We twirled through the doors of Red Lobster after being 25 feet above Hell in the city of Marysville at The Peach Festival. My friend called the Vallejo location to see if it was still open? We were both delighted when the young lady answered the phone. It's been a few years since I've eaten here, but with all the headliner news about possible Red Lobster closures, we thought it was a great idea to go for dinner. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waiter Jerome graced us with his pleasant smile and attentiveness. No matter the cuisine, there's something about Red Lobster that seems familiar, as they have been around for what feels like generations dominating the local steak and seafood dining scene. But that time may be coming to an end soon, with recent news that Red Lobster is having financial issues, which only leads us to believe that many locations, especially those that are expensive to operate, such as those in the Bay Area. Located along Admiral Callaghan Drive within the confines of the series of shops that make up the Gateway Plaza in Vallejo, California, this location of Red Lobster has seen years of success, which could lead to the thinking that its best times are behind it. A most recent visit by a group of two friends and I didn't necessarily ease the fears of one day finding this location among those closed as the atmosphere was dark and disorganized to say the least, but at the very least they are still here and for that we were quite thankful. What really brought us out to this location to Red Lobster was the fact that they still were promoting their Daily Deals menu, in which on weekdays they have special deals such as Snow Crab Legs or Lobster & Shrimp being sold at a more affordable price point. On social media, my friend found out the deal for Wednesday evening was the Steak & Lobster which was being sold for 25 dollars. Imagine our surprise when we opened the menu, and the daily deal was for the Steak & Lobster being sold for three dollars more at 28 dollars per entrée, of which our server explained that it was because we were in California and the cost of living is higher and therefore the deal wasn't as affordable, basically the cost of living was being passed off to the customer. My fellow diners nevertheless decided to order this special deal as it was a Maine lobster tail paired with their 7 ounce sirloin. I decided to order from their menu and with sections such as Starters, Chowder, Salads & Bowls, Lobster, Shrimp, Crab, Sides, Signature Specialties & Feasts, Fish, Beef & Chicken, Weekday Lunch Specials, and Desserts. I had an odd predicament as nothing on their menu intrigued me, especially their seafood options, so I ordered their 7 ounce sirloin from their Beef & Chicken section of their menu as it came with their signature seasoning, and most importantly two sides of my choice, of which I selected a Baked Potato and their Orzo Rice. Their baked potato was certainly the way to go in terms of sides, as my fellow diners also ordered that as their one side dish. Of course, one of the best reasons to still dine at Red Lobster is that they give every table an endless supply of their signature Cheddar Bay Biscuits, which are freshly baked from scratch and taste like they are! They smartly once sold this mix at stores such as Target and Costco, and they were so time consuming to make that to this day I appreciate the work that the staff puts in in making these cheesy biscuits. Once our food came out I actually liked my steak as it was cooked the way I preferred it, medium rare, and when paired with the baked potato, which had a dollop of butter and sour cream on it, and the orzo rice it was a complete meal. My fellow diners really liked their lobster tails as they were cooked nicely, but one diner received a terrible cut of their steak which made it inedible. Overall our meal was decent, and the cost was $85.20, which was not necessarily the most affordable meal we've ever enjoyed here, but considering the regular price of their Steak & Lobster is 40 dollars every day besides Wednesday, then it actually might be worth the visit on that one day after all. It feels like Red Lobster is a place that is stuck in time, as with our recent experience the place was not well-maintained or well-staffed at all, but the food was decent, and if that is the only reason to visit, well then let's hope Red Lobster can last for here for years to come then. read more

From the moment we approached the hostess station, everything went well. Our server, Chris, was welcoming and took good care of us. Her enthusiasm and friendliness made our night. The drinks were delicious. We shared an order of crab-stuffed mushrooms. He had crab carbonarra, and I did the coconut shrimp. Both delicious. 3 stars for the business as a whole But 6 stars for the 1 stellar employee that I had the pleasure to encounter in back to back visits 2 months apart. If I was to guess, I would say she is probably African American possibly mixed with Latin or European heritage. She deserves and is worth way more than what she is currently being compensated. This particular individual remembered the drink I had during a previous visit. She presented the drink to me without my asking and I didn't even remember the drink I had last time. She made every effort to justify and in my opinion over compensate for the lack of wait staffing and or kitchen staff. Normally I would make a big stink and ask for the manager to complain but today I asked for the manager to compliment and show gratitude for the overwhelming customer service albeit crummy culinary experience. I'm not expecting Michelin star plating or anything crazy, I mean let's be honest red lobster isn't the best of choices when you want seafood. I haven't been here since the pandemic, I came Wednesday with 3 close friends for lunch . It was my friend's 75 birthday. This is the place she chose. I walked in the door , with my driver and the door was stuck, could have been condensed from recent rain. The lobby of concierge and lobster tank smelled foul. But my other friends were seated, the waiter escorted us to their table courteously and we were seated.it wasn't well lit in dining room but light came from the windows. The first clue is when the maître D didn't even make eye contact until I stood directly in front her , she appears to not like her job, she didn't even smile or greet me. The food was salty and it took forever to get the biscuits. The waitress did come by to ask if everything is ok but she never returned to ask if i wanted a refill. Service was fantastic! I've been here a couple times over the past few months. Both times service was great. The food was alright. Standard Red Lobster. It can be a tad salty. Prices have really risen over the years with inflation. The Lobster Lovers Dream is now $60. As for appetizers I recommend the lobster pizza! Even the server seemed very pleased and told us that was a good choice (in her own words "fire"). The pizza was generously loaded with lobster. Only caveat is if you're not a fan of raw tomatoes. The latest visit I also ordered the lobster linguini. Again very generous portion of lobster. The portions in general tend to be large. So even though the bill typically comes out to $100 for two people we have leftovers for another meal. And it's seafood. So not bad. Google Maps says they close at 10pm, but doors closed by around 9pm. The kitchen stopped taking hot food orders then too. So plan accordingly. Dessert can be ordered until a bit later. But like most restaurants in Vallejo it's basically closed by 9pm. All in all the Vallejo Red Lobster is a good choice for a sit down dinner. read more
