Res lobster is one of my most favorite restaurants ever. And you know why :) I love seafood more then anything. Also Red Lobster had probably the best buns ever! You can eat them one after one without noticing while waiting for the food and get too full for the main meal :))) Unfortunately its pretty pricey, but you have to pay for luxury foods and service. Since I was looking forward to a seafood dinner there the next best thing, OR SO I THOUGHT, was to order and for my birthday dinner since it was raining cats and dogs. and this was the only place that had seafood options in my area. Came today for the first time since living in vallejo. The service was great and the food was good. We each had the unlimited shrimp. I ordered the mashed potatoes as my side and my hubby got fries. I tried my mashed potatoes and they tasted off. I had hubby try them and he agreed and I asked the server to swap for fries since they are very good. It was no problem. 80 percent of the mashed potatoes were left of so I assumed it shouldn't be a problem in the service industry. The fries came out delicious. I got the admiral shrimp the coconut shrimp as the 1st course. We had scampi and Skewers as the second course. It was all delicious and a great deal for 20 bucks a head. We will be back. Our server Mateo was awesome. Very kind and soft spoken and on the mark. We only had water so the only thing I would have suggested to be great was a water refill but I won't dock for that. I feel water refill should always be offered or just refilled with an iced water pitcher when dining in a restaurant. You shouldn't have to ask for it ever. read more

The food was okay. Ambiance was good. Most Red Lobster locations in California are not great when it comes to food. But this location had good food. I just can't recommend this place because of the service. Not just the wait times, but the booth wasn't fully clean until we asked for it. And the waiter didn't fulfill our request on that - he never did anything about it. We had to flag down a busser to ask a second time that our booth be sufficiently cleaned. Worse than that was just how long everything took. Wait times were just too unreasonable by any measure. People were nice but for a simple meal that should have taken 45 minutes we were here nearly 2 hours because food and drinks just didn't come out anywhere close to reasonable timeframe. My party was waiting for us to arrive awhile and the waitress/manager was cool about it. Red lobster is cool to visit when you're limited to a few selections of restaurants. I started with biscuit's, salad and finished it off with Walt's shrimp and asparagus. We didn't have to wait long for our food nor did we have to ask for a refill of drinks but once. I think Red Lobster is a bit pricey for the quality of food. For this reason I gave it a three star. However, you can't go wrong if you want some seafood without going out of Vallejo. Customer Service was really bad especially the manager who was rude. Does Red Lobster have locker for employees? Why is it that the worker was using one of the table to put his belongings & started spraying cologne near where we were seated. The cologne was so strong that my asthma & allergy triggered. I used my inhaler a couple of times. The other table complained as well not to the manager just to the waiter. Then someone that came after gets seated before us. This is the worst. 20 minutes later still were not seated and 3 tables were seated that came after us again were seated. Was very disappointed by the hostess as she was very off putting by her demeanor. Maybe she had a bad day but by no means should you pass that onto the customer especially when they are being polite immediately. The server was good and responsive. The resultant seemed clean so no issues there. No specials like on the corporate website but they have the go to phrase at specific locations. Food was terribly overpriced and overcooked. Barely got any shrimp as it is and the Nashville Hot shrimp wasn't even spicy. It tasted like sugar. They replaced my mash potatoes with a baked one and didn't even call and tell us. I've always liked this red lobster. The food quality is always consistently good. A few of my fav things are the Caesar salad, pretty much all of their shrimp dishes and the snow crab. I also just discovered their brussel sprouts and those are tasty as well. Some issues they have are the veg is sometimes a tad undercooked. My sister and I were so excited to take my mom for dinner for her birthday celebration at red lobster. We drove all the way from Pinole to Vallejo to have dinner here. Our surprise was that they refuse to served us because we were a party or 7. They explanation was that they only had 2 servers. On a Sunday night, there was about 10 families waiting to be seated and were told and hour wait. There were only about 6 families in total at the tables. This is crazy! Your not even busy but giving an hour wait!? So we are finally seated we get our drinks but got our food an hour later. All my food was over cooked and gross. Did not taste fresh! We tried to pay on the little machine but wouldn't go through. Finally we left. I wasted 3 hours of my Sunday night on gross food. 6 pm to 9 pm! This is outrageous! Absolutely horrible! The first alert should've been when we waited 20 minutes longer than the original 20 they told us because they gave away our table. The manager then puts us in a booth without telling the server. We wait for the server to discover us and confirm that he was never even told. The ultimate strike was when i asked for additional dressing for my salad. The serve may have been in training fore-warning. However, when he finally brought the dressing there is a visible large lump in the ranch. I proceed to pull a long strip of something out of the cup. His response was "it's probably just salad no worries." If you don't want to do your job just don't come to work. At this rate they will be closed like black Angus. read more

We come here a lot so I'm not too happy I even have to share something like this. Because I am legally blind and use a cane, I try to make things easy for myself by using the waitlist on my app. I chose the 4 pm for 4 people. We walked in at 4:02 pm and told the hostesses (a guy and a girl) and manager, Kim, (a woman wearing black and white pants with a white shirt) we were there. Kim, the manager then says we (she looked at us!) had a 15-20 mins wait but after 20 mins we went back up and Kim DENIED telling us that and said we would have to wait another 15-20 mins again even though we just did. Husband argued that but then Kim stated we now had to wait 45 mins and said she did not remember telling us that we had to wait 15-20 mins or even seeing us since she sees people all day! The hostess (the gal) remembered us but what could she do the lady was her boss! Hubby went and found another manager (a guy) who then was able to get us seated after only a 30 min wait and of course the guy host apologized for what happened but again that's his boss not much he could do for us and our dealing with her. Needless to say I was willing to leave after her actions but thank goodness hubby found another manager (the guy) on site who was willing to help resolve our issues. Kudos to you for that save otherwise I would have just walked out and not come back ever for that treatment we got from Kim. Thankfully once we got to our table, everything started to go much better. Our server, Fernando S., was a great guy, he was very patient and prompt. Our food was great as usual. Thank you Fernando and the guy manager for saving the day with your kindness.
