    Strawberry Crepes

My first time trying a crepe. Wow! It was light and fluffy filled with strawberries and berries, topped with whipped cream. I raved about their fish snd chips as I'm not a breakfast person but so glad I was today. Our server, Jihad, was so friendly and fast with our order. Checkout person very welcoming. Such a friendly staff makes it feel homey. The restaurant was very clean. Atmosphere relaxing. Will definitely return.

    Biscuits & Gravy

The food here is really good, I had breakfast and had the Biscuits & Gravy with a side of hash browns. The biscuit was soft, warm and just melted in my mouth and the gravy was very delicious and the hash browns were crispy. The service was very fast and I just loved everything about this place, I have never heard of this restaurant before so I wanted to try it out and I really liked it. It wasn't that crowded either and we were seated right away.

    Inside Red Olive Restaurant

Red Olive, I originally found this place online because I was looking for a gluten friendly restaurant in the area. Located in the same strip center as Kroger and Dollar Tree. Red Olive is a nice dive. The food is priced just right and it actually tastes great. Every time I come in I get the Gluten-Free pancakes with scrambled eggs. The pancakes taste fluffy and must have a hint of cinnamon in there. I personally like them and for just around $11 for both, I think it's a fair price for breakfast. This place has plenty of other options to choose from such as Gryo's, *Opa, salad, sandwiches, etc. plenty of parking, great location, the inside of restaurant is warm inside with dark brown chocolate wooden tables and seats. Check this place out if you're in town!

My large, colorful, and healthy salad. With grilled chicken breast, sliced avocado, and diced mango.

We popped out of the office for a quick and healthy lunch. My friend suggested this restaurant since we were both going the salad route and this place has a nice selection. In fact, an entire page of the menu was devoted to salads: Greek, Cobb, Fattoush, Caesar's, and Chef's. As well, there were specialty salads like Waldorf's and Taco. I went with a grilled chicken salad that included avocado and mango. It was colorful, flavorful, and most important, healthy. In addition to salads, the restaurant is a typical Coney Island diner, with all-day breakfasts, burgers and deli sandwiches, and tempting Middle Eastern specialties (saganaki, tzatziki, falafel, and stuffed grape leaves). In fact, during lunch, a loud "opa" sounded from a neighboring table when the saganaki app was served. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and appeared to be fairly popular. In fact, we ran into another friend and opted to eat with him, despite the fact that he was halfway through his meal. Hopefully, we did not hold him up too much, as we caught up with work. Our server was amiable; she engaged with young children at a nearby table. She also thoughtfully provided us with our checks early but encouraged us to stay as long as we needed to, exactly how I would have wanted to be treated.

    Saganaki

I went to get Saganaki opa cheese it was really good. I also ordered a Chicken Quesadilla it's good but very dry not hot just luke warm a bit of a turn off. Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad I only ate a small piece I boxed the rest to take home. I'll pop it in the air fryer it'll be fine. I knew I would get full from the Saganaki but I also knew I would want more food so I didn't want to order my usual which is the Cod fish dinner which is awesome but comes with a lot of extras that was too much for me. The place is clean they aren't wearing mask though so beware if that's an issue for you. My waitress was friendly and attentive great visit I'll be back!

Sausage egg and cheese omelet with pancakes
    De Saltino D.

$5.99 for pancakes special, $6.99 for omelet special, great customer service, nice seating. Hash browns not really that good though.

    Breakfast Skillet

Skillet - Asked no mushrooms , had mushrooms in it. Returned, they put it back on griddle and dug out the mushrooms & burnt the old cheese. Still found diced mushrooms . On the handle is the burnt cheese. Final outcome returned didn't reorder the cook had the nerve to say he remade it fresh. You can clearly see it was not remade fresh. Waitress was amazing only reason for 2 stars!

    a plate of food

Skip this place . Cheap AF. First they have 2 businesses running out of this address. Bed head and red olive. Had I known it was like that and coming from Dearborn I wouldn't have ordered. I ordered a hangover bowl. And all that was in it was eggs and hashbrowns. No meat. No cheese. Shady business.... I don't and won't recommend this place to anyone. Very bland taste. Do Not Order

The kids also remember back in the day just walking through and wishing they could eat here. Then, it finally happened, and they were so excited! Many, many years ago, I remember my oldest child finally liking chicken pot pie due to this place serving it. Well, over the years the menu has chanced, but the kids still love this experience and can't resist coming here for lunch. True, as stated in another review, the menu is super limited, but it has that charm of an old timey diner. The menu also changes from time to time, so go online before you come or look at the menu at the front before entering, because there are other places to eat, especially when the Village is also open. A couple of us opted for the half chicken salad sandwich and the cup of soup. I got broccoli cheddar and my child got the chicken noodle, but she wished she got the broccoli. We also had chips and bottles of pop, I got the Coke and it was so good and refreshing. I do not love sugar Coke unless it is from the glass bottle (this was cane sugar from Mexico, and really good, not too sweet). The other child got pastrami and cheese with mayo, also very tasty. I love a good old fashion sandwich that I do not need to make myself, it tastes like old school elementary school lunch from my childhood. We also got pies a la mode. One got pumpkin and two got mixed berry, all very good. You do not come here just for the food, this is for the atmosphere and the experience, which is worth it at least once, even though my kids will want it almost every visit.

For example, I get the "Hearty" breakfast most of the time and it comes with eggs, meat, pancakes, potatoes and toast, and it really highlights what is this place's strength. Eggs: I get mine scrambled and have a nice selection of hot sauce to choose from. Meat: I appreciate that they offer turkey sausage since I don't eat beef or pork, but my wife loves their bacon if that's your thing. Pancakes: quality varies the most here as they are sometimes a little pale (but still good) but more often the idyllic golden one expects when ordering. Potatoes: lots of variety here, too, as my home fries come in different sized cuts with seasoning ranging from none to "no need for salt or pepper?" Toast: Again, wide variety of choices, I go with sourdough most often If this sounds like a lot of food, there are lots of other options that make it appealing to smaller appetites. But what I like about the "Hearty" is all the choices and the variation in style (probably depends on who's staffing the griddle) allows me to order the same meal and still feel like I'm getting some variety. Having said that, keep an eye out for the specials. They sometimes are tempting enough to get me to stray from usual. In addition to good food, the service is always friendly, and we've been back enough times to where I think every server recognizes us. Like I said, it's a favorite.

The video surveillance should have also captured the moment I was bear hugged, dragged through a dark hallway, and eventually thrown into a white sign outside. I received bruises and luckily nothing major happened like landing wrong on my head and getting a concussion and possible death (should I have had a bad landing after being tossed by this lady). As she grabbed me and before she threw me to the ground I pled with her that she did not need to do this, but she was very angry (probably because she was working on Halloween and saw me with 3 beautiful girls and she couldn't handle how well the costume looked on me - just speculating here.) I went to this place on Halloween 2025, by the time I was assaulted it was November 1st, 2025 because it was past midnight. I was with 3 other girls (I am a male). We waited in line to get in. I was dressed up as Spider-Man and the girl I was with was Catwoman. I am of Western European descent and maybe that was the issue, I was racially profiled by the woman hostess/bouncer because she was letting in the rest of the people except me and my crew. I proceeded to take my phone out and record her after the assault and take pictures of her so I could later report her. On top of that, there were gunshots nearby so I decided to uber home and report this later instead of right away with the owner. I am going to follow up with this place to make sure we can come to some understanding that assaulting customers is not ok and I will continue to spread the word about my experience if I am not adequately satisfied with their resolution (if there is one). Again, this place is bad news and you should stay away. I am willing to change this review if an apology and some sort of incentive is offered.

At our table, we started with Chai Lattes. They offer milk alternatives-Yaay! The Chai was good sprinkled with cinnamon and steaming hot. It could have used a bit more chai, which I'm sure they would have supplied but it was good that I sipped away. To note, they do offer cocktails and beers, as not all brunch places do. We tried the Mushroom and Goat cheese Omelette and a Build your Own omelette. Our table was pleased as the omelettes may appear 'small' but don't let that fool you, they were packed with flavor. Also, the dishes were made to order. The cubed potatoes were delicious along with the Zingerman's Toast with strawberry jam. Oh yes, we also got a side of the chicken sausage and no disappointments. Everything was cooked to perfection. I must point out that the ingredients were fresh, we could taste the difference with the farm to table ingredients and the potatoes and omelettes were not greasy at all!
