But I ended up getting gel x French tip with pink and a heart and my toes pink and red. I have never ever had so much attention on my toes it was amazing. Finally someone understands my feet!!! Do not waste your money! They charged me $30 for a pedicure and $1 for using my card. I get to do my pedicure with an older woman with glasses. As soon as I am getting seated I have doubts but didn't want to be rude and say to switch people. All I was asking for was a shorter nails but with a good shape. SHE STARTED CUTTING THE NAIL ALL OFF EVEN AFTER I SAID I WANTED A SMALL CUT. She poked my inner skin and I pulled away and all she kept saying was "no no no". The other women heard me and all they did was keep being on their iPads or gossiping. Tammy did my pedicure. She dug in immediately. She didn't ask and cut my nails way too short. She was too busy talking to her co-workers to be bothered to find out I only wanted the nails filed, not cut short. Then the pain started. As I was trying to pull my toe away from her as she was hurting me, she never even looked up until I forcefully ripped my foot out of her clutches. She looked up but didn't apologize or acknowledge. At this point I was seriously considering walking out. My toe is still throbbing as I'm writing this. She gave a mediocre massage so I don't extend it (for the first time ever as it's my favorite part). She was too busy alternating between her phone and Apple Watch to pay too much attention to what she was doing so the UV light would shut off and I'd wait to see how long it took her to notice. It became a game for me. My toes look OK but are way too short. Her lack of customer service has made this the last time I will go here. It's old and rundown compared to some newer places in Orange. I'd rather spend $45 (or more) for a basic pedicure where they at least talk to me and give me champagne. $45 here was a rip off... much like they did to the skin on my toe... read more

Got the deep powder and gel polish on my nails and it barely lasted a week. They had an attitude but since they said they guarantee it for three weeks I went back to have it fixed and again barely lasted another week. Every time I have ever dropped by for any service, I have always been turned away and asked to come back the next day. They only have 3 ladies working at a time, always very rude, and it's not just to me, it's other ladies walking in and then awkwardly walking out. Today I was going to the UPS right next door, I was in my car on a call and guess what? I watched an elderly woman with a cane struggling to get out of her car, then slowly walking across the parking lot, entered the salon to then ultimately being turned away. They might as well put a huge sign that says "APPOINTMENTS ONLY" since they can't handle any walk-ins. Luckily there are nail salons every where in this area. I always give this place a chance, but it's all bad. Their selection of nail polish is awful. All their nail polishes are either watered down or not the same as their examples. Today the girl cut me twice while doing my cuticles. Perfect match colors were nowhere near perfect match. And the callus removal was a regular foot scrub. Wednesday 9:15 am I walk in and the front counter receptionist greets with me with a quick hello, what you need today? I told her I needed a manicure so she pointed me to an empty station. I sat there for a good 5 minutes while "vivian" hair sprayed her hair. When she finally got around to helping me out she grabbed my hand and was examining it. Oh hunny, you have very thin nail... you need gel coat. I kindly told her no thanks because I was only getting a manicure for a job interview. She was so insistent I get the gel that she stated every excuse under the sun. Oh it's only $10 more... thats not a lot of money... oh your nail so thin...your nail is crooked... Oh you need wax to make cuticle softer... NOOOOO!!!! What part of NOOOOOO don't you understand? No means no and I told her at least 15 times NO, all I want is a basic manicure. She asked me for payment right before she was to paint my nails and I handed her my credit card. She told me it was going to be $10 not including tip... so how much tip? I couldn't believe how pushy she was being... so I told her $3 and the rest of the appointment she didn't say one word to me. What happened next made me NEVER to want to step foot in this business again. While I was getting hackled by Vivian, another employee had filled one of the pedicure chair tubs with water and poured laundry detergent in it. I thought it was some sick joke but low and behold she put a bunch of towels in the tub and began washing them. I included a picture of this if you don't believe me. Nails shops are always interesting, but this one was really interesting. I've tried to give them chances, but this last one is it. When I walked in there was only one customer and 4 or 5 nail techs sitting there either on their phones or reading a magazine. One of the Techs, who happen to be on the phone is the only one that greeted me. I told her I needed to get a Fix/Fill, and in her language she called out to the other techs that was sittng playing with their phones. The looks I got was unbelievable. No one moved. You would of thought that I asked for a pastrami sandwich on wheat with the looks I got. They said something back at her and she looked at me. At this point I was so done. I felt like I was inconveniencing all of them. I'm not sure what it is but I do believe the owners need to get more fresh more energetic friendlier techs. read more

When I moved from W.LA to OC I was at a loss to where to go to get my nails done. I accidentally stumbled onto Red Persimmon Nails when the place (a couple of plazas over) I had been trying out couldn't/wouldn't take me. I have been going to this nail salon off/on for about 1.5 years now. I wouldn't say it's the cheapest nail salon, but you do get what you pay for. I was introduced to gel nails here. I was impressed... and hooked. I loved how the paint would stay on, not chip, and stay glossy for 2-3 weeks. Prices/Services: Average for a nail salon. I've only gotten pedis/manis. The gel manicures are great. Spa chairs are decent and in good working condition. I've gotten nail art done here a few times and the prices vary, but they're not really expensive ($5-10 for a couple of nails w/ designs). They do try to upsell, but don't push too hard; they get the point when you say "no" a couple of times". They do take credit cards (and charge an extra $1 for it), but ask that you tip in cash. Cleanliness: Average for a nail salon. Chattiness: Average. The ladies will try to talk to you. There are a couple that speak English well and the rest have just conversational level English. They do talk a little bit of trash about their customers -- yes, I speak and understand Vietnamese -- but not enough for me to be offended and go back. All-together a decent nail salon. I walked in on a Tuesday night at 5:57PM, it was not busy but all of the technicians were taken. I walked in and was not greeted AT ALL. No "hello", no "how can we help you", nothing. I finally asked for a pedicure bc one lady looked me in the eye by accident. She told me to sit down and wait. One technician finished and called the lady beside me. I figured cool, another person is finishing soon, I'll be out of here by 7. Okay, so 2 technicians finish another woman (hands + feet) in 10 minutes, it's been 20 minutes total and I figured I'd be in soon. NOPE, the owner or another technician HOPPED IN THE OPEN CHAIR and instead of ONE helping me, they BOTH worked on the other technician!! Literally, you can't make this up. I got my things and walked out. At this point it's been 25 minutes and no one cared I was there. No one cared I walked out, either. Honestly, this place doesn't even deserve a thought.
