Recently tried this spot and loved it! You build your own bowl with protein, veggies and sauce. We don't have many Korean options in Temecula, so this was really refreshing! The owner is fantastic- friendly, inquisitive and kept us entertained while we waited for our food. Heads up - they love anime! We instantly clicked when he showed us his cool manga wall above the grills. If you're into anime, he's definitely down to talk about it. The food was healthy, served in large portions and was a very fair price. Definitely stopping by again!

Monday, 11-11-2024: It was Veterans Day and I had just picked up a pair of shoes that were repaired at a nearby shoe repair store. I was famished and had heard about this place from Yelp reviews. There was a little line when I stepped in. The place was not very big but it was tidy. The young man, who took my order was very friendly & helpful in explaining the different types of sauces. It didn't take long to assemble my tasty bowl. The servings for me were huge that I could only eat part of it since it was filling. It was fresh & filling. I look forward to returning!

I've been seeing Red Pine Cafe all over FB and wanted to give it a try. It's off Temecula Parkway & Kevin Place, so the location is a bit tucked away, but we found it. The inside is small and has 5 tables to eat at. There's additional seating outside too. I would describe the food here to be like a Korean version of a Chipotle bowl. You pick your base, protein, veggies, and sauce. We got 2 bowls both with brown rice, 1 with chicken, the other with beef... all veggies, and all sauces. Each bowl comes with a side of kimchi and pickled cucumbers. It was pretty good!! I love that the sesame seeds were mixed with sunflower seeds. The veggies in it were good as well as the sauces they used. The chicken had a smoky taste to it like it was grilled over open flame. The beef was marinated in what tasted like Korean bulgogi sauce. Overall, we were very satisfied with our bowls. Definitely would come back to this place. What was intriguing to me was that on FB, the owner talked about his story, that after graduating from Great Oak HS, he opened this restaurant. That's actually pretty impressive!!

A cute little spot that hit the spot! We are from the homeland/North Menifee area, but found ourselves in Temecula for an appointment. After Appt, we are starving and found this little gem. It's a small establishment but with a deliciously tasty menu. We got the protein bowl which you get to style with as many condiments and feelings as you want. I'm not in the area often, but if I find myself here, I would purposely make a trip to get another protein bowl and these delicious brown sugar milk teas that were amazing! I definitely recommend the spot and would encourage others to try it.

Delicious food! Located in the Temecula Creek Village Shopping Center, the Red Pine Cafe is a convenient and healthy dining option. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We visited on a Friday night just before closing and were the only ones there when we arrived. We had two dogs with us so we chose to sit outside. The build your bowl process was as simple as 1,2,3 and 4. At the counter, you pick your base, protein, veggies and toppings. Our food was ready quickly, in good portion and delicious! They used quality ingredients that were fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and helpful. Pricing was reasonable. We will definitely visit again.

I finally got to try Red Pine today and was not disappointed. It was busy, I was about to leave, but a nice woman encouraged me to wait because she said it was definitely worth the wait and she drives from Wildomar just to come here. I succumbed, ordered the tofu bowl and was glad I stayed! The food is delicious and made to order. Service is expeditious and friendly. Nice and clean little storefront with seating. I will be back!

This place needs to be on YOUR LIST to try! This place needs way more customers coming in and trying it, it's similar to a chipotle but taste a million times better if you like Asian flavors and nice protein bowls with veggies of your choice, you get to choose white/brown rice, protein choice, veggies choice, and top it off with some Asian flavored sauces! Put it on your list, make your perfect protein bowl! Small business, owned and managed by amazing employees that are friendly and provide great service and great food!

The food was good but not great. Chicken was dry and portion was lacking for the price paid. I asked for all vegetables but they didn't put bean sprouts. Didn't dig the location and ambiance. This is the kind of food I like but I feel that they could do better. I was in the area so I tried their food especially of all the hype about it on Facebook. This place is out of the way for me since I really don't drive to South Temecula. 14.89 for the bowl. If you want beef $2.50 extra.

Came here for our second visit, been craving this place for months, but we rarely come out this far. Hubby got the beef bowl and I tried the pork bowl, both fully loaded with yummy veggies, toppings and sauces. The side of kimchi and pickled cucumbers are bomb, the cukes are definitely my favorite. Tried the Vietnamese coffee today, so good, thick, creamy and flavorful. We also had the honor of meeting Derrick, he let us sample a side of mixed greens with this amazing dressing he had just made, so ono! The portions are very generous, each bowl can easily be split into 2-3 meals, it's worth every penny!

We were on our way for a day of wine tasting and fun with friends. This is a great spot to grab a bite before a day in Temecula wine country. Absolutely delicious food! Super healthy I don't eat meat so I do get the tofu and egg bowl with the spicy sauce. The kimchi is delicious also. My boyfriend got the Vietnamese tea and it was to die for. Most importantly the owners are absolute sweethearts they're so friendly and kind and it really feels good to support a local business. Definitely go check them out!

Finally was able to make it to this hidden gem, and I'm so glad I did. Bowls are fully customizable, I ordered no rice, chicken for my protein, all veggies ( edamame, carrots, corn, bean sprouts, mushrooms, spinach). Simple,fresh and quick healthy option for my lunch. Wonderful taste. I added the cucumbers and kimchi both tasted excellent and made a nice addition to my bowl. Highly recommend . The owner was friendly and service was quick. I enjoyed a Tofu Veggie Bowl with Brown Rice, Gochu Sauce, and Soy Glaze. My only criticism is that it was served lukewarm. Next time, I'll request that they serve it hot. Staff were down-to-earth and friendly. The proximity of tables to the kitchen, along with the acoustics, made for easy conversation with them. Decor and vibe are casual. read more

We were looking for a Korean food that wasn't all you can eat and we came across this spot. The have a WabaGrill / Chipotle approach where you choose your protein and sides. The food tasted great. You have to pay an additional $2.50 per bowl but it's worth it. It Beef Bugolgi. The reason for the 4 stars is because the portions are very small. I spent $38 for two bowls. It's pretty expensive for what it is. read more

We went to Red Pine Cafe for the first time and were a bit surprised by the process. To be honest, it was not what we were expecting, and we are happy it was not what we were expecting. The guys working the counter were very cool. The dude helping us was patient as we went through the ordering process. The establishment itself was nice and clean, so no complaints there either. The food was good. It was fresh and tasted great. The ability to customize your order to fit your individual tastes was actually very nice. The portions were a good size too. I have been wanted to try this place for a long time, and love to support a young GOHS alum entrepreneur. My daughter and I each had a bowl. We tried chicken and pork. It was delicious. I loved all the fresh veggies, the seeds and the Goyzu ? Sauce. The bowl is a great combination of flavors and textures. We could only eat half. The pomegranate refresher was also very good. My daughter had a Thai tea with Boba that she loved. The owner has a great personality. We enjoyed ourselves. Glad we went. I'll ba back. read more

So glad I finally got to check out this place! I got a bowl with white rice (would love if they had some kind of salad as an option for a more bibimbap-like experience). I was planning on upgrading my protein to beef, but the chicken on the grill smelled sooo good and the cashier recommended it as a customer favorite. From there, I got all the toppings except corn. Go heavy on the seed mix---that stuff is so fresh and adds the nicest crunch. The in-house made kimchi was a nice touch! We ate inside, very casual setting. read more

I had the build your own bowl, with white rice (light on the rice), beef, and all the veggies, with Goku Sauce. It was very flavorful, well portioned, and full of different flavors and textures. The food has gotten even better than before. The wait was less than 7 minutes, for an authentically cooked meal of this caliber that was impressive! I highly recommend Red Pine. read more

I finally decided to give this place a shot earlier in the week because I didn't feel like making dinner. I've been hearing all the buzz on Temecula talk on Facebook and figured this would be a perfect opportunity to try something new. I'm so glad I did. I walked in and was greeted with smiles. I did up getting a beef bowl with brown rice and all the fixings. While that was cooking I had the pleasure of meeting the owner who is super friendly. I'm a chatter box and can talk and that's exactly what I did. lol anyways, I raced home to see what the hype was about. I put some of the sauce that I got and gave everything a mixing and dug in. From the first to last bite everything was excellent. Tasty, fresh, quick, excellent customer service. What more can you ask for? I'm sold on this place. I will definitely be back again. Wanted to try this place out, we've been on the hunt to support local business more. We got the steak bowl with the gochu sauce! We did order 3rd party delivery so we were not able to speak to the restaurant at all, however the order was seamless and items were correct! Excellent portion sizes, very great price! The steak was very tender and flavorful. Gochu sauce has some nice spice, I think could've been a touch spicer. The homemade pickles are a MUST! They reminded me of my childhood! The only two comments I would have are 1) the rice was a little mushy , not sure if was just because of turn around time ( about 20) so I'll wait till we eat in... And then I know it would be fine if ordering inside the restaurant but descriptions of items would be nice on the website... I.e. cheese corn lol is it just corn with cheese who knows lol. All in all loved it, can't wait to go back! read more

It was really tasty. I love that from 2-5pm they have happy hour and i was able to get a thai tea (dairy free milk) with boba with my bowl for only $2! I got the white rice bowl with pork and all the toppings except corn. I enjoyed it. I got pretty full. They even gave me pickles and kimchi sides which were great. Love fermented foods! I just wish the pork was a little less charred. Also everything is served in disposable plastic so if you're eating in would be nice to have real silverware and dishes as an option. I think next time I will try the chicken or tofu. The service was great. Very smiley and good vibes. read more

5 stars isn't enough for this gem! Not only is the food super fresh and delicious, it's a decent portion! The options they offer is amazing- they have vegan and vegetarian choices. The staff is very friendly, one of them is the owner. He's such a genuine person, you can tell he puts so much work and pride into his place. The environment is also very clean and quiet. So many tables inside and outside patio available too. Definitely plan on hosting hang-outs here for some yummy food and drinks. Consider us impressed, satisfied, and craving for more! Finally tried Red Pine Cafe yesterday after we've been wanting to check it out for a while. The cafe is a bit tucked away in a corner of a shopping center. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly worker behind the counter who asked if we had been there before and when we said it was our first time he quickly let us know what was most popular. The restaurant appeared clean, and the food station was clean as well. I opted for a chicken bowl with brown rice and all the toppings, plus the half and half sauces he recommended. We also had the pickled cucumbers and kimchi. At first, I was a little bit thrown because the ingredients were all cold, except for the rice, which was warm. I was not sure if I liked it at first, but the more I ate, the better it tasted. Then ingredients were fresh, and the bowls were well served. The pickled cucumbers were very good. I had never tried kimchi, and while it was good, it was a bit too intense for my liking. My husband liked it though. We sat outside and noticed that there was a steady stream of customers coming through the door. For 2 bowls (with the kimchi and pickled cucumbers) and 2 diet Cokes our total was $40. Not bad. I can see why this place has good reviews - fresh food, reasonably priced, and friendly service. read more

I was really excited to support a young entrepreneur cooking healthy and tasty eats... So when I saw his posts I wanted the check it out. He seemed like a good person. I took my wife and 4 year old and we all loved it, he definitely created a fun experience, great healthy food, fun boba drinks even chatted up my son which was nice considering the little guy was being a bit impatient. The menu is simple but delicious. The only thing not self explanatory is the "seed mix" which is sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds. It adds great texture. The owner was there training a new employee. (It was his first day.) Both were friendly. The service was a little slow because of the training aspect, but not too bad. Restaurant is clean with about 20 seats. There is also additional outside seating. It's located in a quiet strip mall with plenty of parking. Portions were small for the price ($14.89). It was the perfect size meal for my kids, but left me still a bit hungry. I'd love to see bowl size options and larger protein servings. I was not expecting such delicious Korean food in Temecula but this place was SOOOO good! The bowls are basically build your own bibimbap. For me, the perfectly seasoned vegetables were the stars of the show. Honestly the chicken was a bit on the dry side but it didn't matter as the flavor of ingredients mixed together was just so good. Kudos to the ultra friendly staff which was an added bonus. This will be our new place of choice when traveling home from SD to LA. read more

Today was our first time here and we will be returning customers. I got the bowl with rice as a base and beef. I got all the veggies and got the cucumbers and kimchi on the side. Absolutely delicious food! I have tried both the pork and chicken, both are good but the pork is so yummy! The food is very obviously made fresh - comes out warm and delicious. I especially like how many veggies options there are. If you love kimchi, you have to make sure to get this on the side. It is deliciously spicy. And the perk is that it is vegan! I enjoyed a plate of pozole while friends had mole chilaquiles, loaded breakfast potato and for dessert we enjoyed the churros. I loved my carajillo it was just what I needed! We also enjoyed the tower of mimosas along with couple other drinks... the mango, la flaca, mazapan latte, lavender drop martini. We came here on a Saturday morning and arrived around 9:30 a.m. We understood there would be a wait…read moresince it was busy and many guests had reservations, so we were happy to be patient. When we were finally seated, we were placed at a table outside in the front where there was a very unpleasant smell from the freshly paved street. We politely asked if it would be possible to move to a different table. We completely understood if there wasn't one available and didn't mind waiting longer, but the host's attitude made us feel like our concern wasn't valid. We ended up waiting another hour before being seated elsewhere. If the restaurant knew the odor outside was that bad, they shouldn't have been seating guests in that area. The smell can make it impossible to enjoy a meal, and the way our request was handled left a negative impression. Hopefully, they can improve both the seating arrangements and the customer service in situations like this.

However, the harsh reality that we, as critics, must confront is that, in the grand scheme of things, an average creation holds more significance than our designation of it as unworthy. Yet, there are moments when a critic genuinely ventures into uncertainty, and that is when we encounter and champion the new. The world often treats nascent talents and fresh creations unkindly. The new requires allies. Recently, I encountered something unprecedented, an extraordinary dining experience from an unexpectedly remarkable establishment. To claim that both the meal and its creator have shattered my preconceived notions about exquisite cuisine would be an immense understatement. They have profoundly affected me. Previously, I openly expressed my disdain for the famous motto of Chef Gusteau: 'Anyone can cook.' However, only now do I realize, what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at red pine cafe, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in America. I recently visited this spot, which used to be a boba shop I frequented, only to find that it has turned into a restaurant. I was a bit surprised at first, but I'm so glad I stopped by! The workers are very nice but the food is not that good as people say there are . There is no spice to anything is all blend no flavor It wasn't my favorite food . I am sorry but you need to put more spice into your food some salt or pepper. I probably won't be returning to this place . Also right when you walk in the restaurant there is this wired smell like expired food or something I could not really tell what was the smell but it made me very nauseous because of my pregnancy. read more

Vegan friendly spot. Came here with my mom to pick up her new car from a Temecula dealership. We got the Build Your Own Bowl with tofu protein and all the veggies. The bowl comes with their vegan kimchee and Taiwanese cold cucumber and both are so good. I felt like my entire meal was nutritious and filling. The owner is a young entrepreneur in his early to mid 20s. A great small business to support. Thank you Derrick and Jonathan for the hospitality. read more
