I really enjoyed visit Red Rabbit, I was here with family that I hadn't seen for a while (like a lot of people). The food was delicious! I had the lasagna and it was amazing! There was a perfect balance of meat, cheese, pasta and the sauce was not overly acidic. The service was great too, she had a lot of patience with us, I never felt rushed or pressured to place our order or get us out of the door. The acoustics in the section we were seated were not great so we had a hard time hearing each other especially if more then one conversation was happening, so that was a little disappointing. But with that being said, I would definitely will come back. read more

I can't believe I nearly forgot to review this place as it was easily my favorite dining experience on my trip to the Twin Cities. Our server was a total sweetheart and so much fun, but everyone we interacted with was energetic and super nice. We had studied the Yelp deets ahead of our visit and still our expectations were exceeded. We started with drinks and burrata - pro tip from our server: order the extra bread option (maybe even double burrata!). It was perfection. I also had a summery drink special, the Thai Ginger Blossom, which was so refreshing. Of course, I went for the margherita pizza for entrees being the pizza connoisseur that I am and let me tell you: rave reviews! Maybe a smidge more mozzarella would be ideal, but this pizza was excellent in every way. My friend liked their pasta as well and we both felt the portions were generous. We only regret not saving room for dessert as the offerings were quite tempting. All in all, as I said, definitely my favorite dining experience that trip. Our driver did a great job communicating about her wait in picking up the order. The pizza was forgettable. The Italian sub was a mistake. This is a hot sub and all meat was charred from being directly grilled. Burnt is probably a better word. The Arancini was good but not great nor worth the price. read more

I love Red Rabbit. The food is always delicious, but the service was a bit on the frustrating side. We waited 15 mins for someone to come ask us if we had been helped. We didn't even get water at this point. It was frustrating to watch the couple next to us get helped 4 times when we didn't even get spoken to... we were seated at the exact same time. Finally Blake (another server) came over and asked if we had been helped and we said no and we want to order everything we want now because we had been waiting. Thank you Blake for helping us out!!! So, I did give them another shot. Came back here on a Tuesday with a group of 5 of us from work. The restaurant was surprisingly busy, as they had told me they are usually slow Tuesdays (I had called a few days prior trying to make a reservation, which they do not do). We were seated quickly and so it began.. Our server was a guy named Alex. He was very nice, had high energy and showed up to offer water and take drink orders. We ordered drinks and appetizers, both of which came out appropriately timed. From there, the service went downhill. We had to flag him down to take our entrée order (long after having finished our appetizers). We had to remind him that we had ordered a couple of refills for drinks. I had to flag down another server to get water refills. Once the table was cleared he came and asked if we wanted dessert. We asked for a dessert menu and he never returned. Again, flagged him down and asked about the dessert menu; he seemed to have completely forgotten that we had asked for this. After dessert and espressos I had to wave him down again to ask for the check. I readily pulled out my card and put it on top. He had left, but walked by us at least 3 more times and never stopped to grab it. One last wave down to get him to take it. I understand it's hard to find help and these folks are doing the best they can. However, Alex didn't seem to have that many tables. The other disappointing point to this is that the manager (recognized from previous visit) never stopped to check on us. I am fairly certain he saw us waving him down a few times, and definitely could see the frustration we were experiencing. Most likely cannot bring myself to go back here. Took some friends here to thank them for running a short run errand with me. We got the burrata app with pizzas and pasta for the entree and a dessert. So basically tomato and cheese for every course, besides dessert food was lovely all around. First time try burrata, and would definitely not be the last. Is it weird that I'm still drooling about their fettuccini alfredo? I sure hope not, because I definitely am. For NYE my date(PB) and I decided to check this place out. I am not the late night type of person, but we didn't want to arrive right at peak dinner hours. We decided to check out the No Wait, waitlist thing on the yelp app. We were told what time to check in by and how long our wait would be. We promptly drove over, and were pleased when we found out there was a parking lot, so we didn't have to drive around for street parking on Grand Ave. We walked in and were seated right away. The bar side was a little packed, and the 'restaurant' side was packed a fair amount. We sat down and our server was very friendly and prompt. She brought out our waters and gave us a moment to look at the menu. I ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp ($5.5 extra). PB ordered the Pizza with Pep, and Italian Sausage. We received our food soon after we ordered. PB enjoyed his pizza and thought it was good, but would maybe get something else next visit. My Fettuccini WAS SO YUMMY! The down fall. There were 2 large shrimp. Yes, they were bigger than the average size shrimp, however there were only 2. For $5.5 extra dollars I got 2 shrimp. So wasn't worth it, but the alfredo sauce was delectable. Would I get the Fettuccini again, HELL YES I WOULD, would I get the 'added' shrimp, NO.? Not worth it. I have tried to come here again with people, when offering places to go, in hopes I can have the pasta again, but so far, hasn't been the case. But one day! I have been to the North Loop establishment many times for dinner and since they share the same menu, I decided to try some new items this time. The Saint Paul location is just as good, and seems to be less crowded as well, which made it easier for me to enjoy my first brunch experience in Red Rabbit! Of course, their pasta is their staple food, but other kinds are great as well! The monkey bread had just the right amount of sweetness and the caramel was just the cherry on top, and the only disadvantage was that it was not soft enough, especially the crust, which was hard. My friend ordered the burrata. She loved it so much that she ordered another one. I had the family's favorite pizza as well, per my server's recommendation. Initially I wanted to get the Margherita pizza and I should have sticked to it. But I want to make it clear that it was not because family's favorite pizza itself was bad. I am just not a pepperoni pizza person, but rather a marinara or Margherita person when it comes to pizza. The family's favorite pizza had great ingredients, from the house sausage to the green olives, and I could definitely see how many Americans could love it. It was a classic American pizza. But next time I will get Margherita, the classic Italian pizza, instead. The avocado toast is amazing, with a good amount of eggs and avocado. It was much larger than I expected, too, which was a plus. The Italian grinder sandwich was spicy for me and very flavorful. Finally, I have written this for the North Loop location before, but the sticky toffee cake is one of my favorite desserts, if not my favorite dessert, from anywhere in the Twin Cities, so whenever I visit Red Rabbit, that one is just a must have! Overall, the Saint Paul location is a hit as well, and because it seems to be less crowded, people will have a great time here without worrying about waiting for too long, at least for Saturday brunches! read more

This place is so cute tucked In grand Ave. We sat on the patio. I ordered a refreshing Moscow mule. For starter dish we got half dozen of oysters which was fresh and delicious. We also ordered a margarita, pizza, spaghetti, and a kids pepperoni pizza. The crust of the pizza was perfectly crisp. The spaghetti it was flavorful, especially the meatballs. This place is cute! Friendly service and intimate ambiance. Plenty of booth and table options. Smooth music playing in the background. Chris was knowledgeable and quick with all our needs. I really enjoyed the grilled wings and garlic bread. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to dive into the Cacio E Pepe, they were out. I did try the Cavatelli with Impossible meat substitute, which reminded me of beef stroganoff. Taste and flavor of the entree were nothing to rave for but I am very thankful they were able to accommodate my dietary needs. Brunch on a Sunday! Dim lights. Full menu. My partner and I both ordered the smothered breakfast burrito. This is a fun concept including; eggs, cheese, tater tots, beans, and salsa inside. *Be sure to ask for avocado on the top! I requested impossible sausage instead of regular sausage. I noticed an off taste when eating my burrito. I discovered a ground plant based meat which was not what I was expecting. I was expecting actual breakfast sausage. When I brought it to the waitress's attention, she dismissed my concern indicating that it was indeed the breakfast sausage. Another staff person came over to assist and confirmed that the ground plant based meat was used for their bolognese pasta. Well that confirmed why I was so thrown off. Luckily this staff person offered to correct this issue. When I informed my waitress that there was a mistake with my burrito she just said ok and moved along. She didn't seem attentive nor that she even cared about my dissatisfaction. I was grateful for the other staff person that was attentive, smiling, and friendly. We went here as a backup for an Unofficial Yelp Event brunch. Thank goodness for Yelp no wait! (And their location next to Treats!) I was pleasantly surprised! I'd been to the North Loop spot and felt the Italian offerings were over-hyped and haven't been back. But the St. Paul location had a lot more options! We started with the fried rice balls appetizer and it was delicious! A fun Italian starter that ordering two servings got us each two apps! Yum! It was a bit dark in the restaurant for brunch, but our server was fun and attentive as well as quick! Just the right amount of friendly but all business! A manager came over and checked on us too. Plus I think they had a runner bring our meals! So much service! I chose the Chicken and Waffles and found out it was a newer addition to their brunch menu. It was really well done! The perfect balance of sweet and savory. Though it was a lot of chicken! I couldn't finish it all. I really enjoyed the waffle the most anyway. A great brunch item to have! Though I had to make my own sweet tea to go along with it. No worries...probably for the best since I have a super sweet tooth! One of my friends got the Lobster Benedict which tempted me as well, but she was a bit underwhelmed so I'm glad I didn't opt for that. Another friend got the breakfast pizza. Nice restaurant! I came here for lunch with a client and we dined outside on the patio. The patio is really nice and filled with sunshine on a sunny day. There are also heaters available on the patio that made a sunny but cool day very comfortable to sit outside and eat. They offer a pick-two lunch special. Neither of us opted for that but we both enjoyed our food. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. Vegetarian options are available as well. We had an UYE at Hope but the wait was just too long so we jetted over to Red Rabbit since it shows on Yelp of no wait time! Our service was great and the food was on point since we were starving. The arnani?? balls were amazing! It hit the spot and the aoili that came with it was awesome. I love how is crispy on the outside and melts in your mouth on the inside. Very flavorful and can be filling. Each order came with five balls. I had the breakfast pizza. I love the crust. It was light and crispy. I would like a little more fixings on the pizza and didn't care for so much rosemary that it was overpowering. I think if I ordered this again, I would asked for the egg to be scrambled and sprinkled on the pizza as I didn't care for runny yolk afterwards. The chicken and waffles looked amazing. The chicken looked a little too done that it seemed difficult to tackle with a fork and knife. The lobster Benedict looked good with the breakfast potatoes. Stopped in on a Friday for a dinner. This place does not take reservations but we were able to get a party of 4 in right away. They have a large parking lot adjacent to the restraunt. We ordered the garlic bread to start: a good appetizer, but other options such as the burrata might have been a better choice. The moscatolli was a hit- made with goat cheese fondue, you can't go wrong with this! The salmon piccata was also fabulous, with a lemony sauce. I came back to Red Rabbit with my family for dinner and it was fantastic. My sister and I split the burger with parmesan chips and got some parmesan dip to go with it. It was so, so good. One of the best burgers ever! We also shared the stuffed squash and avocado toast; both tasty. My nephew also ordered the burger but it was too charred/blackened on the outside. Our server promptly ordered a new one that the manager brought out with their apologies. They also comped it for us. A true class act here at Red Rabbit!! Have loved the addition of this restaurant on the east side of town. Definitely order a drink from the bar (if you don't like/drink alcohol, they have NA options too!). Be sure to ask your server about any off-menu drink and food options. There was a "state fair special" going on when we visited and decided to try the sweet corn ribs. Holy smokes, were they good. It is basically a cob of corn cut into a long strip to resemble a rib. They also added this subtly sweet and spicy white BBQ. After we finished, I wanted to order another, but alas, dinner was coming. Had the mostaccoli and the cavatelli for the mains. The mostaccoli is made with Goat cheese, giving it a lovely tart/bitter flavor to go with the sweet red sauce. The cavatelli is a light, but filling, white wine sauce with sausage. I've always wanted to give Red Rabbit a go since I'm a fan of Red Cow, so I was excited to finally try it out. I'll start with the restaurant itself. I've been eating out very infrequently since the pandemic hit, opting for takeout most of the time for safety's sake. I was very pleased that Red Rabbit is in compliance with COVID safety precautions. We were asked for proof of vaccination, masks are required, and all staff was wearing masks. The restaurant's layout was spacious and allowed for distancing between tables. This made me feel more comfortable dining in than I have in many other restaurants. The interior was clean and comfortable. Staff was attentive and kind. Now for the food! We ordered the chips and dip to start. I would say that Red Cow's chips and onion dip is better, but Red Rabbit has a solid runner up. The chips are crisp and well seasoned, and the Parmesan dip is creamy and flavorful. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo as my main. It was nice and creamy! I wouldn't say it's my favorite restaurant Alfredo, but it was by no means a disappointment. What I enjoyed most was the pizza. My boyfriend and I got one to split because we wanted to try that as well as a pasta dish. I'm not sure what Red Rabbit does with the crust, but it is phenomenal! The crust is so flaky and crisp, and it has such great texture and flavor. It really elevates the pizza, in my opinion. For drinks, I got the mai-tai and the hot chocolate bomb. Both were excellent! I love that you have the option of oat milk for the chocolate bomb, and you add the hot milk yourself and get to enjoy watching the chocolate melt into a decadent drink. This is definitely a restaurant I will go to again, especially since there is a parking lot so I know I won't have to fight it out with street parking spots and end up blocks away! That's a huge plus for me any time I go into the Twin Cities - street parking can be so hit or miss, and it's always a win when there's a lot. We came to Red Rabbit last minute since the place we originally wanted to go to wasn't doing dine in and it was already 8 pm. It looked like this was one of the only restaurants nearby that stayed open later than 9 pm. We ordered the mushroom & spicy salami pizzas and they exceeded our expectations. Let me start by saying it's always a plus when you get fresh hand made pasta. Red Rabbit is no exception. I enjoyed myself, but I feel there's much better for the price. The olives were too simple (no freshly marinated herbs or exotic olives). The Pizza was cooked on a wood fire, but the crust was ruined by the massive globs of cheese balls inconsistently scattered on top. The cavatelli had wayyyy too much sausage it was overpowering. We came to the St. Paul location and had the vegan egg sandwich ($11.50), which is available only on the weekends until 2 p.m., so get there early before they sell out. This breakfast sandwich was fine, but not amazing. It is assembled using Impossible sausage, Just Egg and Follow Your Heart cheese. This is the same trifecta of packaged ingredients used by multiple other restaurants around the US during this "plant based" boom. We also got a "Blossom Child" cocktail ($11) which tasted great and consists of gin, lemon, lavender and sparkling wine. Lastly, Red Rabbit also has a vegan pizza with house-made ricotta. I had this at their Minneapolis branch and thought it was excellent. If Red Rabbit did more from-scratch vegan food (how about some desserts?), it might warrant another star. Decided to meet a friend in St Paul for lunch and it gave me a good excuse to try out this location of one of my favorite restaurants in Minneapolis. I arrived around 11:30 on a Tuesday and was the first one in the place so the friendly staff gave me a spacious booth along the side. Compared to the Minneapolis location this spot seems a LOT bigger, although the wide open, stylish interior might be the reason it felt bigger. They got a bit busy at lunch but there were still plenty of tables available even at noon. The lunch menu had quite a few options but once I heard there's a sandwich version of the mouth watering chicken parm - that was the end of my search. Like it's nighttime cousin, this sandwich is enough for two people. Great food and service characterize this place. I wish they did reservations but until then, I'll just come at lunch with no waiting for a table like the busy evening hours. read more

We were excited to see there was outdoor seating with music playing which was MUCH quieter than inside. We had an elderly person in our group and she was happy to be able to hear the conversation. I'd checked out the place on Yelp and saw it's gotten good reviews so I knew I wanted the mushroom pizza which was quite nice although more mushrooms would have improved it. We also had the burger that was tasty, cooked more than medium rare and had a cheese sauce as opposed to cheese slices. The chips were yummy. It also had crispy watercress and crispy prosciutto. It was different and fun. They were out of Raviolo so we got the Saffron risotto. It has some / not much crawfish in the middle and it tasted more ricey than risotto. Also had the Cavatelli which I didn't try but while my friend ate it all the presentation was somewhat lacking. The garlic bread we ordered for the table was very yummy with a delicious marinara sauce. Drinks came quickly and so did the food. Service was quite good too. After dark they lit an outdoor fireplace and the red string lights created a nice ambiance. I walked in to see the inside but given the choice I'd sit outdoors again. It was clean and nice but the atmosphere was too open concept for my liking. Bathrooms clean and staff very nice. Also had its own parking lot.
