While staying in Williams Arizona, during our route 66 trip, this was definitely our best meal. My mom and I shared Grilled Salmon and the Red Raven Pasta with Portabello mushrooms. Both were great. The salmon was well cooked and was on a flavorful cranberry couscous. The basta was amazing. Best I have had in a while. I highly recommend dinner at Red Raven while staying in Williams. I've only done a couple of lunches there, but the food was good to great. Onions rings to die for! The reuben sandwich was very good and not a greasy mess like most places make it. Loved the portabello melt, too! It has an upscale, homey atmosphere that is refreshing in a tourist town with too many fluorescent-lit corporate beaneries and cowboy this-and-western that. The food and service were so good we ate here for dinner twice! Our son had the chicken and pasta, simply delightful and full of flavor. I had the duck and it was wonderful. My husband had the spicy shrimp pasta and he was thrilled with the flavor and spice. On our return trip, our son had the same dish and we had the rib eye and shrimp combo - it was mouthwatering good. Stacy was our server, she was attentive and Alex seated us on both occassions. I left my iphone on the first night and Stacy ensured that it was safe until I realized it was missing. PHENOMENAL!! All four of us LOVED the place. Great server, fantastic food, the right mix of trendy decor and ambiance. Not too loud, but yet it was packed full. Reasonably priced and several vegetarian dishes from which to choose - important for me as I don't eat meat (or didn't eat meat at time I wrote this - back I'm back to being a carnivore!). Of our entire Rte 66/Grand Canyon trip this was by far our favorite eatery. read more

I have been to this restaurant two times. The first time for lunch- I had a steak which was prepared perfect and melted in my mouth. My second time last night my friends and I dropped in with a wedding party of 8. The staff was terrific and our waiter, Clayton, was fabulous! The place is super clean and beautiful- love the decor'. The food was super. I had filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. The others had everything from shrimp, pastas and steaks all done nicely. They had a great selection of wines and alcohol. Overall I find this place to be super and the customer services was extraordinary. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I plan on making a return trip the next time I pass through Williams Arizona. read more

Fantastic place with an eclectic menu and friendly staff. There were several restaurants open and busy as we strolled through Williams tonight, but the Yelp reviews looked best for Red Raven. Rightly so! Troy welcomed us as old friends and took a genuine interest in helping us choose entrees and ensuring a great experience. In fact every member of the staff seemed to love being there and they took the same care with their customers. The guests at the next table even took a photo of themselves with their server! Now the food: Our meals were delicious and we will certainly be sure to return. I had the penne pasta with chicken, mushrooms, and roasted vegetables. It was superb. I even dipped my bread in the bowl to soak up the broth when everything else was gone. If no one had been looking, I would have drunk from the bowl. The desserts are homemade and so worth it. We had a lemon berry cake and a chocolate trio; both delicious, but I'm not naming them correctly because I have lemon drop amnesia. Just go to Red Raven and taste for youself! read more

I absolutely live this place! I, first, ended up here by an accident while driving from New York to LA. Now i take my family here every time we are going to Grand Canyon (a couple of times a year). I am very sorry for those of you who did not have a great experience here, i think you've missed out. The servers are always quite. At first, i thought they were tired, but I came to realize that it's just their way- they are mellow, but always helpful and fairly fast. I brought my husband and kids this time and we ordered a pasta, a lamb dish, and a pork dish. Now, it may not be difficult to satisfy my man (just give him a decently cooked piece of meat and potato!), but I'm a little more demanding :) Their food is always a slam dunk with me. Always cooked perfectly to specificity of the order, always just the perfect flavoring with spices and seasonings-mouthwatering!!! Let me just say that my kids destroyed the broccoli faster than they will eat cake on most occasions. And that prongs me to cake, or should I say DESERT!? We ordered 2 deserts: a lemon-blueberry mascarpone layered cake and a chocolate ganache hazelnut cake. OMG! Those were to die for!!! I understand that everyone has their own preferences, everyone in my family always disagrees on what to choose, and that's why I got a chocolate and a fruity options. The deserts were taken "to go", but we're gone before we left the restaurant-the kids butchered it while we were waiting for the check, they were nice enough to let us try it! We ate here for lunch. Hubby ordered the Philly cheese steak and soup of the day; I had the other soup of the day and an entree size garden salad. Everything is homemade and was overall tasty; sandwich portions are on the small side. Good selection of microbrews on draft an bottled beers. What a treasure in Williams. Walking in the door was inviting, it was warm on a cool day. Table cloths and a professional wait staff. I ordered a bowl of the soup of the day and it was an amazing chicken rice curry delight. My husband had the veggie wrap and said it was the best he has ever had. On our way to CA from GA, we ate here thanks to Yelp. OMG! What a culinary delight! My husband's ribeye was so flavorful and tender. My Pork Tenderloin salad was over the top scrumptious! The staff was very helpful, friendly and attentive. My only regret is that we are passing through and can't stay to sample all the other incredible dishes. I assure you when we return to GA we will eat here again! Well, we're back and it was just as good as the first time! We ordered the same as before and were so happy! Can't comment on food as I didn't make it to stable before walking out. Took 10 min for anyone to even notice us. Then were told it was 30min wait when we were literally the only ones waiting for a table and there were a few empty ones. Asked to sit at bar and they said they don't serve people at the bar. Exceptional food and service at Red Raven. We came here after our Polar Express train ride with 8 adults and 5 children and they were extremely accommodating. They allowed us to position two strollers near our table and were so sweet. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. There was never a glass empty or a plate left on the table after we finished one of our courses. Everything was extremely fresh and flavorful. I had the garden salad to start and my server recommended the sesame dressing. It did not disappoint. It was exactly what I needed after eating cookies and hot chocolate on the train. Lol It was fresh and was filled with an array of fresh veggies. For my main course I had the Spicy shrimp linguine. I am a bit of a wimp with spice and I asked the server if they could make this dish mild and they did. Wow! It was so flavorful. I literally ate every bite, which I rarely do with pasta, but it was too good to not finish. We will definitely be back during our annual trip here to Williams. read more

This place sucks. Complete liars. My wife called them at 7:30pm on the Monday - we wanted to dine and the hostess said they served until 9:30. We had a glass of wine in town and arrived at 8:50. The same hostess then claimed they were closed. She is the dumbest person I've ever met. How difficult is it to tell us the kitchen may close early on the same phone call??? Stupid. We were visiting AZ last July and had our ten year old granddaughter with us. The meal was the best of our 10 day trip to the Southwest. The second night in Williams we ate at a steak house and were sorely disappointed and decided to treat ourselves to dessert back at the Red Raven. They seated us in the window and brought scrumptious desserts. My granddaughter was entranced that hers had a sprinkling of gold on it. We enjoyed watching the crowds walking by. We were looking for a place to have a good meal while staying in the area and based on the reviews of this place, decided to give this place a try. I am glad we did. The service was good and friendly, the food was very good, especially considering this is a small town. This place would be more at home in a more upscale place. It building is small, and it does stay full, so reservations are recommended. We were lucky enough to get in without them, but did have to wait a few minutes to be seated. Very good food. I ordered the roasted duck with the mushroom pilaf, and the only issue I had with my meal was that the pilaf was barely dry--hardly a problem, though.
