Miss Kitty's Bar & Restaurant is tucked inside the Trailborn Grand Canyon (Marriott), right on the edge of town in Williams, AZ. From the outside, you'd never guess what's inside. The entrance is sleek, modern, and understated. Signage is kept to a minimum. Step through the doors and you're greeted by a warm hostess, a small but stylish bar, and a moderately sized dining room just around the corner. The décor is tasteful, cozy, and inviting. The menu is perfectly sized and unapologetically focused on steak, so of course, that's what we ordered. I asked about a filet, which wasn't listed, but our attentive server assured me the kitchen could accommodate. With my dietary restrictions in mind, I requested little to no salt and no butter. The server communicated this flawlessly, and the kitchen delivered. My filet came with a simple, homemade-style salad of romaine, red onions, croutons, shredded cheese, and blue cheese dressing, plus a loaded baked potato (+$2). The steak itself was unlike any I've had before, charred, smoky, and bold. My date called it "Texas Style", a steak clearly made for a cowboy! He ordered the 12 oz. NY Strip with Sidewinder Fries, Charred Corn Esquites, and a house-made Green Chile Tomatillo sauce. Honestly, his steak was even tastier than mine,... robust, smoky, and full of character. To drink, we sampled a few beers and landed on a favorite, the 'AZ Local Ale Toasty Amber Lager'. Our server explained it's brewed locally and only available in Williams. It was crisp, flavorful, and the perfect pairing for steak night. Though stuffed, we couldn't resist dessert and ordered the Texas Sheet Cake to go (without the ice cream). Unfortunately, it was a bit too heavy and dry when we tried it later, a rare miss in an otherwise excellent meal. Dining hours are limited, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm daily, likely to align with hotel check-ins. Guests can even enjoy a complimentary "Ranch Water" cocktail between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Since Williams is a hub for Grand Canyon visitors, the early closing time makes sense. Our hotel package included a $50 dining credit, making Miss Kitty's an easy choice. While the steak preparation wasn't quite what I'm used to, the flavors were bold, the staff was wonderfully accommodating, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Bottom line: If you're visiting Williams, Miss Kitty's is absolutely worth a stop. Very disappointing Valentine's dinner. The food was plain average and overpriced for what we received, and the experience felt just terrible. Our server Amy seemed overwhelmed, and quite rude. She was unable to recommend sauces or steak pairings, and the drinks for our kids took more than 25 minutes to arrive. The hostess eventually stepped in to help. We were also surprised that there was no wine list available, despite it being advertised, and the wine offered was cheap and basic. On top of that, we were easy customers--we already knew what we wanted--but the service was slow, rude, and made us want to leave. The tri-tip was overcooked, and since even the drinks arrived long after the meal, l just want it to leave. My husband and I came to Miss Kitty's for dinner on a Sunday night while we were visiting and had such a great meal here. We were staying in the town of Williams while visiting Grand Canyon, and my husband had spotted Miss Kitty's while driving. Miss Kitty's is located within a hotel. There is ample street parking right outside the restaurant. I thought the interior was really cool. It felt like a modern and trendy restaurant with decor that gave a nod to its cowboy/desert surroundings. Our server was upbeat and welcoming. She gave us waters and menus right away, and came back soon after to take our orders. For mains, my husband had the pulled pork sandwich with potato chips while I had the tortilla lasagna. The pulled pork sandwich had very classic flavors, and was saucy and tender. It was excellent. I really enjoyed my tortilla lasagna. It was a fun take on this dish, and not super heavy. I was able to finish most of it since the serving wasn't huge. For dessert, we finished with the chile spiced apple pie. The chile in the pie was mild and not overpowering. Now let's talk about the food , my dad got a Father's Day duck breast meal , amazing , I got a New York strip and your supposed to pick a sauce and a rub , I picked garlic and rosemary rub I don't like garlic on my steak but I like it on the rib and but I prefer butter basted with GARLIC and rosemary , I thought that's what it was an do got bordelaise sauce , so good and we got the calamari bit it was so thick it was chewy and hard to chew but tasted amazing back to the steak it was supposed to be 14 ounce but it was as thin as a strip of thick cut beef jerky and it was burnt to a crisp which means it tasted bitter and I ordered medium but got well well done , but it had amazing service besides the fact that someone who got there after us got food before us but our waiter was amazing. read more

If you like bland food, this is your place. NY strip steak had no flavor except the bites with extra rub. Wife's catfish had no seasoning -- at least none she could taste -- and the collard greens had her asking what's that taste. Had to push the plate away because she couldn't take the smell. Service also was incredibly slow. Our waitress said they were short staffed, but the waiter with the pony tail was all over it, even helping her serve food. Does not meet the hype that's for sure! We were there mid week a few months ago there were two people in our party upon walking into the restaurant. It was very disheveled. They were busy like you would expect in a tourist town. They didn't greet us at the door for 10 minutes and then when they did told us they were having trouble cleaning tables. There were dirty tables everywhere this should've been our first que to leave. The hostess sat us at a table. She said it was the only clean table. It was in the bar area not the main dining room. We sat there for 20 minutes. No one came over. Finally a girl came over to us who I later would find out was the manager she told us she could move us to a different table in the dining room. We sat there for another 10 minutes while we watched other tables get greeted before us. Finally, we called her over again and told us no one had approached us when the waiter came over. he was very kind. None of this was his fault. He was very busy. He tried to do what he could. The manager was very dismissive said that they were very busy. They were trying to get on track. They had just been taken over by a new company. The food is very expensive. The drink were weak. The drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive so we had to pre-order more just so we would have them before our meal arrived. Our meal also took over 45 minutes to arrive including the appetizer I would say honestly to skip this place until there is a drastic improvement, we were not offered any sort of a discount. The manager was honestly not the greatest. She was very, very dismissive and honestly came off as sort of annoyed with us. On top of it the atmosphere is not relaxing or fun. It is very loud. What a gem! Miss Kitty's is such a cute little restaurant, and the food absolutely lived up to the vibe. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it did NOT disappoint . The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and so juicy on the inside, honestly cooked to perfection. I swapped the fries for a salad, and everything tasted incredibly fresh, which I really appreciated. I actually got full and took the rest back to my room... which I never do but there was no way I was leaving it behind. It was that good. My husband ordered the catfish, which was my original runner-up choice, and he devoured it. I stole a bite and immediately knew I would've been just as happy with either option. The food was honestly some of the best I've had in a while--fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. But what really made the night stand out was our server, Rafael. He was seriously the best. Super friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and just had a great vibe the whole time. He made sure we had everything we needed and gave great recommendations too. You can tell he actually cares about giving customers a good experience. Overall, this place is definitely worth visiting. I use to come here before the remodel and lived their food! I can back to check out the new menu and see what they have done to the place. Wow, then place was gutted! Beautifully remodeled!!!! Was very helpful with the menu. The drinks were nicely poured, and chilled. I had the Grand Martini. I ordered the Hush Puppies for me and my husband and those were tasty. The dip was ok, not sure if it was mayo with garnish. I had the Spicy Cesar for dinner and my husband had the Catfish dinner. Omg can I just say wow how the salad was AMAZING. They even make their own dressing! Only one place had the best Cesar Salad and that's in Vegas! But this place is up there with it! I will definitely order the salad every time I go to Miss Kitty's! I tried my husband's dinner: the catfish was breaded but nicely crusted with a asmr crunch lol. The grits were delish! My husband enjoyed his dinner. I liked it too. For dessert we tried the Churro wheels that came with hot fudge. We both love Churros but this had to be out least favorite dish. They came out dry and hard but the fudge was nice and hot. Every time we cut into the churros they'd crumble. The server came to check in us and I told him I think these were reheated or sat too long because of how hard they were so he was kind enough to bring another out . These came out a little better. Perhaps it's the oil? I hope they use a different oil for dessert and not the same oil they used for the fish because they may do it lol. All in all we will be back but we won't order the churros unless they get rid of the round wheels and stick to regular churros since those seem more doughy. I have no doubt in my mind that if I were to come back, I would get a solid service and some of the best food I've had. The sauce was reminiscent of a chic-fil-a sauce, but the chicken and other toppings were clearly elevated. Our drinks were also fantastic. The Old Fashioned and the peach gin drink were both awesome. Spent the day in Williams and decided to dine at Miss Kittys. First off it's hard to find where to even enter. It's June and hot. They had NO AC so we dined outside. I ordered the Campe Fire FRIED CHICKEN with collard greens. Thinking it was going to be fried chicken when I got my plate which was hot but the mashed potatoes were cold and no collard greens BUT corn! When I asked about the collard greens the waitress said oh we are out of that but they gave you corn. Ummm would have been nice to of known that BEFORE I ordered. I would have picked something else. The chicken was not fried chicken but a very dry piece of chicken breast. So that was disappointing. The taste was good but the meal was disappointing. Friendly and attentive wait staff from front door to tabletop to bar. First evening I had the pan fried chicken and let me just say it is worth the 20 minute extra time. Craveable. The greens bring a nice acidic balance to the richness of the red eye gravy and goat cheese mashed potatoes. I went back again the next night because it was just that good. I got the All-American Bourbon to drink - nice and strong. I almost ordered the same chicken again but decided to venture out to see how well they prepared other things. I opted for the catfish and was not disappointed. The catfish is fresh and not muddy tasting. The breading was nicely crisp and I liked the way they incorporated the pico. (I wasn't too sure how I'd like pico on catfish). Out of the two, chicken would be my top pick but the catfish was surprisingly memorable. Try the green chile apple pie- only a subtle heat. My only complaint was I did not get cinnamon ice cream just vanilla and they put rainbow sprinkles on the whipped cream which I found weird. read more
