Frisco TX - Main and Teel. Went to lunch with my daughter and we had a great meal. Very open and inviting concept, seat yourself and Lexi greeted us with a big smile. She was very fun and took great care of us. We shared the fish and chips cooked with a crispy well seasoned batter, the fries are fresh and thick a surprise treat on the side was the mushy peas which I don't often eat or order. A Caesar salad was included very fresh lettuce and an outstanding dressing topped with shaved Parmesan cheese and croutons. The vibe is open and inviting large TVs on the wall and a nice inviting bar. Oh and it $6 Tito's all day every Tuesday - nice touch. Happy hour is 3-6 each day. Lots of different t items to try - they are famous for their smash burgers - that's next on my list. Thanks again to Lexi for menu knowledge suggestions and overall great service. I look forward to meeting Chefy. We need to get out and support our local, independently owned businesses. I will be back!

New place in Frisco in the old Maple Street. Same set up instead but you do not order at the counter and you seat yourself and they come to you with the menus. We had a large group and were able to call ahead and they set up 2 tables for us. While we were eatting, the chef "Chefy" went around to greet everyone. They have a very large menu and something for everyone. The test kitchen section of the item says it comes with a Caesar salad but we did receive it with the items we ordered- chicken fried steak, fish & chips, ravioli or salmon bowl. So I am not sure if any items get the salad with their meal in that section of the menu. The potsticker appetizer was wonderful with lots of flavor. The fish fingers for the kids meal were a good portion w/ 2 large pieces of fish. The fish & chips meal itself is one huge piece of fresh cod. Overall the portions were large, the menu has lots of options and it's a great new spot in the main and teel area! Our 2 servers were kind and did a great job.

Ate our chickened fried steak. It was good. Not the fest I've had but it was good. Asparagus was fair.

The atmosphere is lively and social, making it a great place to gather with friends, watch games, or enjoy a casual night out. The space is well-designed with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating that feels open and energetic without being overwhelming. The beer selection is strong, with a good variety of German and craft options on tap, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly when it comes to recommendations. The food pairs well with the drink menu--classic German-inspired bites that are hearty and satisfying. Service is generally quick and attentive even during busy hours. Overall, The Prost is a solid spot for anyone looking for a relaxed but upbeat environment with good drinks, good food, and a social atmosphere.

But the real deal‑breaker? We found out the staff openly shares customers' tip amounts with other patrons. We watched someone go around confronting people at the bar, asking how much they tipped. Completely inappropriate, wildly unprofessional, and honestly one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever seen in a bar. If this is the new standard, it's no wonder the crowds disappeared. We won't be back.

The host confirmed the reservation right away and even sent me a confirmation text, followed by a reminder message the day before. This was a planned group reservation that was confirmed multiple times. On Tuesday when I made the reservation, I was also told it would be Bollywood and Tollywood night, which was one of the reasons our group chose this place. When we arrived, they were playing almost exclusively South Indian songs. We had to ask the live singer four times before he finally played a couple of Bollywood Hindi songs. This was disappointing because the music theme we were told to expect did not match what was actually happening. When we arrived, we were told our table was upstairs. I explained that our reservation was confirmed for downstairs by the DJ area. The host acknowledged that the downstairs table had been given to another party and claimed they tried calling me. I immediately took out my phone and asked when they called and whether they left a voicemail. There were zero missed calls and no voicemail. I asked multiple times and only received apologies. The reality is, no one called me, and our confirmed table was simply given away. We were then seated near the entrance with people constantly walking in and out. For a group our size, this was a poor seating choice and set the tone for the night. Service was extremely slow from the start. It took about 20 minutes just to get water. It took around 25 minutes for the server to take drink orders. At that point, I walked to the bar myself to order a drink because nothing was happening. About 35 minutes later, the server came back to take food orders. I ordered a single appetizer, cashew chicken. After one hour of waiting, I asked about it and was told it was getting ready. Another 30 minutes passed, still nothing. After roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes total, I was told the appetizer had been given to another table by mistake and that they could reorder it, but it would take another 30 minutes. This was for one appetizer, not even an entrée. Several people in our group had similar delays with both drinks and food. There was no real accountability. No manager came over to explain what happened. There was no attempt to comp anything or make the situation right. We were expected to accept slow service, multiple mistakes, and poor communication. To top it off, an 18 percent gratuity was added automatically despite the poor service, and the drinks were watered down. The entire group left disappointed. This was supposed to be a fun group night and turned into frustration. I would not recommend this place for group reservations, and we will not be returning.
