Most importantly, get a margarita, the mango margarita I don't like frozen margaritas so I can get mine on the rocks usually rimmed with Tajin. Great authentic food right next to my neighborhood! I've lived in this area for 29 years and I know how to pick out the "low key" spots for great food. Red Salsa is a small restaurant, that serves authentic Mexican food, and does it right. This is the place you go to for a great Torta, or a quick plate of 5 Taquitos, or a HUGE burrito that gives Chipotle and Freebirds a run for their money...literally the dollar cost ratio of the Texas Burrito is great. The location is clean, the food is extremely fresh and flavorful, with a plethora of food options to choose from. Great spot, and the people are super sweet. They do close at 3pm most days, Sundays they close at 2pm, but I noticed the restaurants that close a little early usually have the best food. I also love how the ambiance was, friendly staff and the pictures of the food on the menu makes me want to go back and try more. read more
