I Came here for the first time the other night, and the food was amazing. I ordered the Brussel sprouts app, tomato soup, and salmon entrée. Prob some Of the best Brussel sprouts I've ever had somthing about the mix with onion ring and lemon sauce was so good. The tomato soup was the best I've ever had. They give you house made croutons which were really good with it. not being a big tomato fan I would go there just for that. the salmon was great. I specially liked the coconut Almond rice. My server was Skylar who was awesome! She was very friendly and really took care of me while I was there. She was fast and efficient and Her service alone is yet another reason I'll be back. The food is great here! However our service was not very good. A couple of issues- 1. We ordered 2 kids burgers, 1 w/cheese and 1 w/out and they both came with cheese. Server said "and the burger with no cheese" when it was visibly there. 2. We ordered a salad to share and two entrees. Our salad came at the exact same time as the entrees. While the braised short ribs are amazing, they are way less amazing when they are eaten cold. We had a pasta dish as the second entree and as anyone knows, with a cream sauce, it separates as it gets cold. 3. We ordered dessert, requested boxes and then waited for a solid 20 minutes for our check. The steak sandwich is awesome. So awesome that I can't review anything else. Every time I visit I want that sandwich. It's like the perfect French dip. I like to share it with my husband because it is sized perfectly shareable and the gravy is a bit rich if you dunk as much as I do. I add a wedge salad and truffle fries. So, I guess I can review those too. The fries are thin and crispy and the salad is always fresh. No complaints except that I'd like to branch out and try something different but once I sit down and peruse the menu I fall back to my favorite. read more

I really hope the owner sees this... I've tried this place 3 times now....drinks are great, atmosphere is great...it's walking distance from my house. Would be the best spot ever after a long day of boating...but the food is so bad. Meat taste low quality and doesn't have much flavor. Tried the steak and it was below average at best. Go to the back to order, get a table number, seat yourself and table service from there. They will do table service but it does take longer. Lovely wine list. Any place that has Malbec and Torrontes is on my good list. Service can be spotty. Not because there are poor servers but b/c as a new restaurant, they are still figuring out the busy trends. example: next year, they will know mid week during the boat parade, it is like a Friday night. Bumping up to a 4 but my rating is more of a 3.6/5. I came here a while ago (like a couple of years ago) and never wrote a review. My experience of Red Table was different than what the pictures now seem to show. First of all, when I went there were not a lot of people even on a Saturday. And I'm pretty sure they had a different menu and no happy hour. I got something similar to the salmon a la plancha (I think) and I don't remember paying over $15 for it. Based on what I've seen on yelp, they've increased prices. But they also seemed to have added more dishes. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere. It's located behind the trader joes and is bigger on the inside than it looks. Parking shouldn't be a problem since there is always plenty. I want to give this place another try but I also am working on a college student budget here, heheh. I liked the salmon when I got it last time but it still did feel like just fish and vegetables, nothing too crazy for the tastebuds. Which is why I want to try some of their other stuff. Maybe I will go back. The happy hour seems good but has no vegetarian / no pork options so I couldn't get anything if I went for happy hour. :( Overall, it's a good restaurant to eat out with your special someone. I've heard lots about this place so my family decided to try it! Not bad!!! and luckily we made reservations on yelp so we can just get a table as soon as we walked in since we were quite hungry! The service was wonderful and decorations around the room as well as the bar made up a very nice atmosphere to just talk and relax with those you are with! The food was pretty good and I can see why people come time and time again! The only thing for me was the BLT flatbread didn't really taste as good as it looked. The food was great! The service was slow... I came here last night with 3 other ppl. We were seated about 7 pm. Took about 10-15 mins to get our water... they apologized of course, stated they were understaff which is reasonable. Took about an additional 15 mins to get our bottle of wine. Our food comes out about 15 mins after that... so basically 45 mins after we initially sat down. Good thing the company I was with was entertaining. So, after we finish we order dessert... the banana cream pie. Took about another 30 mins. Felt like they had to go out to the farm and find the bananas. It took forever!!! Service was SO slow!!! Located behind Trader's Joe, this restaurant certainly has the best location out of all the other restaurants there. There are quite other interesting restaurants next to it that warrant a visit. However, I am here. So this is my focus. Being at the end of the restauran row has its advantage during this time of the pandemic as it boasts the largest outdoor sitting area. The restaurant also comandeered fhe space across the walkway. So seating should not be a problem. We got there a few minutes before 6pm on a Sunday evening and it was quite lively with almost full house. The hostess asked if we have a reservation, and I replied no. So she said it will be 30min at least of a wait. So I whipped out the phone, loaded Yelp and made a reservation for 6pm. Then told her, I actually do have a reservation at 6. :-) She then checked me in, but then proceeded to say it will be another 5-10 minute... I find it a little odd that they would make walk-ins wait 30 minutes, when there are available tables, but if you make a last minute (I reserved at 5:56), then it's ok to be seated... Anyway, onward. It is nice sitting outdoor and we do catch a glimse of the sunset. The waiter was friendly, and took our orders without needing to write down anything. The cocktails were pleasant, although were light on the alcohol. Let's see the food... I love the beet salad. It was spot on and refreshing. The tuna poke was a little warm, and too much sauce, but I like the accompanied eggplant chips. The cod entree was decent, nothing to rave about. So overall, it was a pleasant evening. Why only 3 stars? Probably because of the food and the location as part of a strip mall. The service staffs were wonderful, and they do have contactless pay method. The menu looks really good, and we were excited to try a new local spot since we haven't really found a place yet in our new neighborhood. Despite us calling ahead to make reservations, when we arrived there were plenty of open tables and one family being seated ahead of us. The hostesses asked us if we had reservations, to which of course we said "yes". They said ok and they'd seat us soon. No one returned to the hostess stand for what seemed like 4-5 min, and then they didn't say anything. There was a waitress cleaning up a table, and then she finished and still, no one seemed to want to seat us. My husband asked the main hostess outside if they were too busy (we could see the outside deck was at less than 50% capacity and yet only that one table needed to be bussed). She responded exasperatedly that everyone had left at once and they were regrouping. We waited just a few more minutes, at which time we figured how good could the service be if they really didn't want our business here. How hard would it have been to tell us, "we're so sorry, we just need another minute and we'll get you seated"?? We understand a lot of restaurants are under staffed after the Covid hit, but at least try to keep customers! Be courteous and welcoming so that you can keep business coming. We found The Harbor Rackhouse on the other side of the shopping center had excellent service and remarkably good food, too! We've found a new "go to"!!! read more

The service was HORRENDOUS! Our reservations were for 11:30, party of 6. Some of us got there on time while others were late. Our deviled egg appetizer took 50 minutes to get. FIFTY minutes. I got there around 11:50 and by 12:15, no one had come to get my drink order. I mean what the heck!!! I was so disappointed because I heard the food was really good but unfortunately the food didn't live up to the hype. Here's the run down of our dishes: The deviled eggs were fantastic, the Loco Moco was too sweet, the chilaquiles was mediocre, the crab Benedict was okay and the steak sandwich was good. I ordered a cappuccino and it took them 10 minutes to come back to say they couldn't get the machine to work yet I saw some coming out. The most disappointing part was other than the sever and the hostess, no one came to apologize for the lack of service. They even charged us the for eggs! Came here at the suggestion of a friend of mine who said that this was one of her family's favorite places to eat. Monday has all day happy hour, which means cheaper apps and drinks. My friends and I decided to order a round of small plates to share. This is what we ordered: Buffalo wings: we got 2 orders of this because each 6 wing serving was only $5 under happy hour and I love wings. These were pretty good, I'd definitely order again for this price point. Cheap date: bacon wrapped dates served with mascarpone cheese and some kind of arugula salad tossed in a paprika dressing. This was really good and I thought the salad was a perfect accompaniment to the richness of the bacon and the mascarpone. Chicharrones: deep fried crispy pork rinds that were on the happy hour menu for $5. I thought these were just okay, I'm not a huge pork rind fan so I probably wouldn't have loved them no matter what but they were nicely fried and crisp. Came with a sweet honey dipping sauce Warm Spinach salad: this salad had spinach, fried Brussels sprouts, bacon, blue cheese, onions. I love all of these foods and it was delicious! Crab Cakes: 2 crab cakes on a bed of shredded cabbage, served with tartar sauce on the side. These were good but I probably wouldn't order again as I'd want to try something else on the menu. French Fry Flight: the sampler plate of French fries which included 4 different kinds of fry (regular, garlic, sweet potato, and curry) and 4 different kinds of dipping sauces for the fries (ketchup, ranch, some kind of bacon/garlic aioli, chutney). My friends and I were curious to try the different fries they offered so we ordered this. Will probably stick to ordering one type of fry next time. After our meal we were sorely tempted to try their seasonal peach cobbler but we were far too full for dessert. Next time I'll have to come back and get it! read more

The food, on the other hand, has been hit and miss, so take heed. Get steak and banana cream pie. The good: 1. $35 t-bone porterhouse steak (on specials list) - very good, broccolini was delicious, fully loaded potato would be have been better had it come with sour cream or butter - it does have cheese and bacon, but it was very dry.... 2. Flat iron steak - very tasty with blue cheese dressing and mashed potatoes were good, too 3. Banana cream pie - huge portion, delicious The okay: 1. Fish tacos - loved the radishes and spicy salad on top, but the deep-fried tilapia was likely old and a little too chewy 2. Molten chocolate cake (looked like a TJ's special from next door), and comes topped with walnuts (!! allergic folks beware!), raspberry sauce and a side of vanilla ice cream 3. Southern fries (sweet potatoes) with bacon-chive aioli - pretty good, although the salt-pepper seasoning was too heavy (take it easy!) The not-good: 1. House burger - this was the worst burger I've had for a while. There is no way that this was 1/2 pound of Angus. I ordered it medium well and it came hard, grey, well-done and tasting of charcoal, not meat. The bun was sponge-y and way larger than the hockey puck burger. The burger came with no toppings save the onion (I did not order cheese) - no pickles, no mayo, no ketchup, no nothing. I added my own toppings from home. Do not order this. 2. Cheap date - bacon-wrapped dates - These were cooked/burnt on top, but raw-ish/not quite cooked enough on the bottom. I ate the tops, and threw out the rest. 3. Braised short ribs - The sides were fine, but the meat was hard and chewy. Why? I have no idea. I've made these in my slow cooker many times and low-slow means falling apart, not hard to cut. read more

Omg! Just bought a house in the Harbour, Huntington Harbour. My house and dog sitter recommended Aosa Coffee. Another great place. Smelling and seeing the food next to the coffee shop my dog and I had to try. Yes my dog was allowed outside on the deck. Julian greeted us with the biggest smile and welcome. Wow what food. I eat an omelette every day so I grabbed a few friends to join and bam! Crab cakes, loco mock and burrito was off the chart. If you are near by just come. We came for Sunday brunch. They have cheap mimosas and a make your own Bloody Mary bar with all the fixings! Unfortunately our service was really bad! We were never checked on by our server and the few times she came over we had to ask for everything: more water, coffee, silverware. It was not a busy day there at all with plenty of open tables and were a lot of staff. I didn't feel like we should of had that bad of service. I don't know what happened to this place but is was sub par at best. I asked for no onions on a salad and they come with onions. Instead of taking it back the server brings me a plate so I can pick them off myself. Insert eye roll as he let my plate of onions sit on the table for about 10 minutes before I had to ask him to take it away because they reeked. Flatbread came out cold. The cheese was barely melted. Food is still really good. Drinks are still good, but overpriced. The service though, has really taken a turn for the worse. It takes at least 10 minutes after you sit down to get a water/drink. The servers are either overwhelmed by the number of tables they have to work or they are just really bad at serving because you will go a full 15 minutes between check-ins. I'm not sure where the owners are, but they don't seem present and it shows in the way the wait staff operates. The long waits have happened each time we've gone to RT. It can be a Monday at 3pm or a Sunday at 11am, you will get slow service. The servers either need more help (most likely) or they need re-training. Still love you, RT. I have been to this place sooo many times since there aren't too many restaurant options in the neighborhood. It's definitely way overpriced for what you get. But that's how all these small HB restaurants are as they try to appeal to all the wine-moms in the area. Red Table does have some good dishes if you're willing to fork over the extra money. They do rotate their menu sometimes so you may lose your favorite item or gain a new one. My boyfriend loved the shrimp po boy which they stopped making. He used to ask if they could still make it and depending on who was working they would. Service here is always hit or miss. I've experienced more misses than hits. And they always ask if you have reservations even when the restaurant is completely empty. So it really seems like they are trying to make it seem like a higher class place. I ordered the steak sandwich (with gluten free bread). The au jus was truly the best I have ever had. It had tons of beef flavor and fresh herbs, and definitely is NOT the typical salty brown liquid from a packet. I haven't had a steak sandwich in years because of my gluten issues but I never fear eating at red table. It was so tasty and I will definitely order this again. My hubby had the short ribs. The meat was so tender it just melted in our mouths and the veggies were seasoned so well that my husband voluntarily ate and enjoyed zucchini (which I have never witnessed before...lol).
