This place is like a little mini cheers. It's the small brewery where the locals go and the owner pours the beer. The mostly local group is friendly and welcoming. Bring your dog and play some games while drinking deliciously crafted beers brewed right here on site. My favorites are the Strawberry Fields (a blonde ale) and the So Cal stout. But they're known for their C-Hag IPA.

Yummy time. A Belgian double and a lobster sandwich to eat from Cousins Maine Lobster. A win all around.

We really like it here! Nothing fancy-comfortable and dog friendly! Located in a strip mall w/lots of parking (we walk over since we live in Oxnard Shores) Excellent beer for sure! We love the Stout Nitro! Cool little spot to come and chill, watch some sports and just hang. Pizza to go place next door if you get hungry! Definitely recommend!

As local as it gets! Having been a long-time part-time resident of Oxnard Shores (4 decades+) I always get excited to see local businesses pop up that really catch the vibe of this neighborhood! This neighborhood brew pub is small and suuuuper local.... Great place to enjoy some unique beers and catch up with neighbors and other colorful characters.

Here is what is great: * The quick and kind service. * They accept the AXXESS card. Buy 1 flight/sampler, get 1 flight/sampler free. * Seating available inside and outside. Not so great: The beers. In all we tried 6 of the 8 beers. Hubby loves beers. He loves dark thick beer. I love light beers. We didn't like any of them however we drank them. Hubby said they were heavy. That's about it. I normally write long reviews. Thank you for the 2 free stickers. Hubby has a sticker door in the garage. We already placed them on the door.

Awesome little nano brewery with a great selection of tasty craft beers. Super friendly staff, chill vibe and other cool stuff, like trivia.

I can't say enough good stuff about this place!! Great beer! Always a fantastic selection, and such a chill vibe!! By far my favorite brewery in SoCal!!

Little neighborhood Brewery with minimal selection of beers. But that's good, you get to try all beers. Pictured is a Bacteria Sour that I had to try just because of the name. Delicious!

Super friendly, great beer wonderful owners! Stopped by while in the area and I'm so glad I did. What a great local gem! Wish I lived closer. I would for sure be here more often! Love supporting family owned places!!

We had a fantastic experience as far as customer service and beers go. The Hop Passport brought us into Red Tandem on a busy Saturday night. We were fortunate there was a table for 2 still open! We were served right away and with open arms. I wish I remembered which beers we got, but they were both lighter beers and very refreshing. Dog-friendly and there are TV screens mounted on the walls. Plenty of free parking outside. Highly recommend!

First time here , it's a little small space brewery but the vibe is fun. The bartender working right now is amazing . The crowd is a little older then the usual brewery's, nothing wrong with that, but if your used to seeing people scream shots shots this isn't it . This is a more adult peaceful no kids kind of place. And you can bring your best friend aka child " dog" lol

I was actually going to another brewery, but had a change of heart; and I wasn't disappointed. A few words to describe the environment, off the cuff, would be...quaint, catchy, fun, and local. Most people don't visit breweries to have a hip-spot to park a caboose. If anything; and most likely, a patron that frequents breweries is one who enjoys the crisp delights of a cold beer. A delight that passes the lips as it crosses the pallet, warms the chest, and fills the belly - leaving only a feeling of total completion and full satisfaction. That said, the Kickstand Kolsch hit the spot (if you couldn't tell). It was light, it was fresh, and it was delicious. The right amount of beer for a warm summers day. Final thoughts: If you live nearby, or are just passing through, Red Tandem should be on your "to do" list. Its worth the visit.

We were immediately welcomed by Juan, and from the start he was incredibly inviting, smiley, and gave off such good vibes. He genuinely made us feel welcomed the second we walked through the door. I'm not sure what his title is because he seemed to do a little bit of everything, but he explained how everything worked, let us know we could sit and come back up to order when we were ready, brought us our food, and even gave some great menu recommendations. He was so kind and attentive throughout the entire experience. The food and beer were also very tasty, and the portions were great too -- definitely worth it. Everything added to the overall experience. Being someone who works in customer service and food service myself, I take good service seriously, and Juan truly went above and beyond. He had an amazing attitude and work ethic, and he's exactly the type of person that brings people back to places. Great service leaves a lasting impression, and he absolutely did that. It was a slow night for them. As we arrived at the bar to check in and I have to say that there was not much joy in are presence. My husband presented the Groupon and she immediately said, "Yeah, were not taking those anymore" and mentioned the manager or owners name. My husband immediately showed her that the Groupon had not expired yet. She fiddled looking in the computer and eventually allowed us to sign the waiver and Ray led us to our lane. Listen, if the place was super busy and they were swamped, I could see why they would be bothered by a Groupon hassle. But that was NOT the case and the fact of the matter is, they did not apologize for doubting the validity of the Groupon. It was more like we were an annoyance that we came in at all. Didn't ask us if we wanted something to drink. Ray was excellent at his presentation and instruction, but we were the only people throwing at the time and I was having issues with even hitting the board with the metal part of the axe. Just a helpful hint for the throwers, you will have to get someone back over there by asking if you need anymore help. They are not going to volunteer to help you again. All and all it is a fun environment, but I doubt we will be going back anytime soon. You want to spend money in an establishment that wants you there. Not one that acts like you just pissed in their Cheerios by showing up. Fun place to try, but frustrating if you can't throw the axe correctly to make it stick to the wall.

We were there a bit early so we needed to wait 15 or so minutes for it to open per the time listed here on Yelp. We continued on our way and went to another local bar only to return hours later via car because I had had my exercise for the day. We got lucky in finding a parking spot because this is a small area, so cross your fingers. We found 2 seats at the bar and marvelled at the selection of microbrews. For a Saturday afternoon, the place slowly filled up with locals as everyone watched the basketball finals on the tvs. Bartender was very welcoming as were the locals we chatted with. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but did find something to drink. My partner was in heaven sampling and trying new brews. Would love to return later in the evening to see how this place fills up and to enjoy more of the locals and what it would be like living in this hidden community. So shhhh!
