Been to this location a couple of times now and I love it. They have their own parking area which is a plus. Love how they have a great outdoor seating. It's so nice to sit out there. They do have indoor seating as well. They do also have indoor seating and a big space where they hold events. I enjoy having craft beer from time to time, and also have a little one. It's hard sometimes to find locations with good drinks and offers food, with a big space for kids to run around. This place has a small playground area with seats right in front and standing area. My little one has started to enjoy pinball machines so it's nice that they have a couple for him to play with. They don't serve their own food but they typically have a food truck everyday. When I have gone it's been Game Over Catering. We have enjoyed the food we have gotten. Overall, have always enjoyed Topa Topa's beer. Topa Topa HQ has so much open vast space, this has to be the largest Brewery in Ventura. They epitomize Brewery culture that's meant to be community and family oriented. However, for me that may be a small drawback from wanting to come here on the weekends- It's such a magnet for larger groups, families with small children so it feels a bit like a park playground atmosphere and isn't the most relaxing setting. But I think this is one of the best spots for families with children. They even have arcade games inside. I first came on Thu. for Trivia Night, and the open room (even before you get to the brew tanks) is a large auditorium style space. I came again for their Holiday Makers Market- that was a large scale Arts and Makers Festival that offered a great experience. I almost felt like I was at the Fairgrounds- this brewery feels that spacious! Since I'm not really an avid craft beer drinker, I won't comment on the quality of their beers. They do seem to be slightly higher price than other breweries, but they're offering so much more space and amenities at this location. They had a food truck there when I visited. Looks like it changes from time to time. Had the hoppy Japanese lager but it tasted borderline like an IPA so if you don't like IPA I would go with a different option. They do have a wide variety so you'll have plenty of options. I got a tasting flight since I like the variety. My only disappointment was a couple of the beers I wanted to try was only offered seasonally so will definitely have to come back for that. As a foodie, I loved that they had regular collaborations with a variety of food trucks for each day. That's already tempting me to come just to try the different food offerings. What a lovely experience! I stopped by for the first time this past weekend for a couple of pints. Talk about having enough space! Lots of room outside and inside for groups and kids. I loved the beer Menu, clear and easy to read behind the bar. Great design. Last year, I let my best friend, Eldon, plan my birthday party and ended up naked in a shallow hole near a public golf course just outside of Bakersfield. I was clutching a broken ping-pong paddle and a transistor radio when the course groundskeeper woke me. So, this year we met at Topa Topa Brewing Company to celebrate both my birthday and recent graduation from a certificate program to become a certified Oatmeal Sommelier. I could've specialized in any of the higher grains, but the brochure from my culinary college assured me that oats are the most diverse grain and "affords someone expert in its use, preparation, and history with ample opportunities for world travel and career advancement." My dream is to do freelance consulting work for restaurants and all-you-can-eat breakfast buffets in major international hotels. I can tell whoever started Topa Topa Brewing Company also had big dreams and followed them. It's inspiring. From the soaring ceilings inside the massive common space, outdoor play area and rotating cadre of independent food purveyors, to the wonderful selection of video games - it's the perfect place for food, family, fun, and not ending up naked in a hole. Now armed with expert oat knowledge, including the fascinating cooking techniques that I learned during my intensive two-week Oatmeal Sommelier course, I feel that I can take on any challenge. In fact, someday I hope to bring happiness and joy to individuals, family, and friends just like Topa Topa Brewing Company does at its many locations. Went to really fun Thursday Trivia night here. The outdoor space here is a phenomenal local landscaped garden with inviting tables and places to sip and enjoy. Lots of room for kids or family to play around. Inside is also considerably large. The trivia was set up in the large back room and went for 2 hours. It was super entertaining and the vibes were great. I came here for the Findings Market Holiday Market to visit a friend that had a booth. So although my experience wasn't the traditional Topa Topa Brewing Company, I still had an amazing time. I am looking forward to go back and be there during the day, when I heard they have a food truck selling food, music playing and you can enjoy some of their drinks offerings. After helping my friend shut down her booth we stayed and enjoyed the Grapefruit Seltzer. It was refreshing and light. The service was great, and we even lost track of time talking but the bartenders were so kind and just let us continue chatting and finish our drink as they were closing. The location is deceiving as it's in an industrial area in Ventura but they did an amazing job landscaping the place. There are large picnic tables outside throughout the property, and you can also bring your own food to enjoy. Definitely a place I want to visit again this year. read more

The ladies serving did an excellent job and to be honest, you can think what you want about this review, but both the young ladies will let you know I opened a tab separate from the accommodated drink to actually tip both of them 50$ for their efforts and they both deserved that gratuity, honestly. On that note, I maybe had 5 beers which those young ladies not only went to the main bar to get me but also were super appreciative and went out of their way to take care of me, I had maybe 5 drinks and then was cut off by the I don't know " bar manager"? After -007 in gratuity which was separate from what the wedding party tips , I literally opened 2 personal tabs to tip these young ladies who did an excellent job and after maybe 5 drinks was cut off. If you think I'm being harsh or whatever, go there. I tip 100% always. And tipped our servers before I got my first drink because they went above and beyond to get me the drink I wanted and also were very appreciative of my gratuity. And at 8:45 pm, the "manager" cut me off, after maybe 5 drinks. All I'm saying is for me, I put gratuity up front to really take care of the staff, and to be cut off after 100.00 in gratuity alone, aside from what the wedding party also was going to tip shows a poor lack of judgement, and poor treatment of patronage that would take care of the front of house staff. Mushroom pizza was crisp thin crust, simple but very tasty. Variety of beers was good, and even I as someone who is not partial to IPAs found some excellent mellow lagers, and there is a seltzer as well. The biggest difference between this location is the space. Complete with picnic benches and a food truck it felt more like a fun great place that the entire family could go to. My FAVORITE Topa Topa location - everything about it is wonderful. First off, despite it being in an industrial center, the area is beautiful! The outdoor seating location is large with beautiful landscaping. It's peaceful and relaxing to just sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. This location is also dog-friendly, so it's a great area to bring the pups. I've also seen plenty of families with smaller kids here running around and enjoying themselves. Indoor seating is also spacious as well with plenty of seating options. Great beer selection. Not the biggest fan of beer, but I've always found a good one to sip on when I visit here. (Which is always a win because there's not many beers that I enjoy). They've also had a food truck parked outdoors whenever I've come. Most recently, we tried Happy Place Eatery, and their smash burgers are incredible! So juicy and flavorful, and the onions really bring it to the next level. Woot ! This brewery is nice!!! I really liked it and the string lights.. we felt like we were glamping somewhere. There were big groups there tonight and everyone seem to be having a great time. We grabbed a beer and sat at the picnic tables outside. They had trivia and food from RuffHouse but we missed them by a few minutes. It's ok we had ate but I've been wanting to try RuffHouse ( Texas style bbq ) so we will come back for that and Trivia ! Love the ambiance- kinda romantic and seeing the train pass made me happy. My family frequents Topa Topa and we have for years, but today we were completely disrespected by manager Josh. Some kids dropped a glass trying to get a cup of water next to our table and promptly ran away. Josh came over to clean up the glass almost immediately. I mentioned to him that it was funny that the kids had dropped it and ran so fast. He snapped at me saying something about, "not blaming other people". I immediately felt extremely uncomfortable with him. My partner was sitting next to where the glass was dropped and was worried there might be glass in his drink so he went to ask for a replacement of what is remaining and order an addition beer for his Dad. Josh again was there to snap at him saying he can't have a free beer. Again he was only asking for a replacement of like 1/2 a beer that might have glass in it and purchase an additional one. Josh then went on to snap at the girls working regarding the matter which felt unnecessary. Probably 30 minutes later a friend took off his hat and accidentally knocked over his beer and within second there Josh was again to clean up the mess. The only reason this could happen was because he was watching us. Awhile later a different friend went to get a drink and we found out Josh had cut us off. The only thing I drank was a taster so I'm not sure how this qualifies me to be cut off. Josh said my partner asking for a replacement drink, "made the girls uncomfortable". We were not being loud, we were not causing problems, we go there all the time and have never been treated like this. I only wish it was less dusty from the dirt outside where all the picnic tables were. But that won't keep me from coming back, just what I wear when I return. The folks working here are polite and attentive. Here is where my personal issue is. I have been in law enforcement for 32 years. I have been a craft beer drinker since 1990, which is likely longer than most of the employees have been alive. When you mix politics with business, I believe that you merge political issues in to your business that some/many folks don't care for. I come to a brewery to have a good time not to think about political and social issues that can be divisive. Hanging a BLM sign inside your business is absolutely your right. Just know that you could lose business especially from folks who are in law enforcement and folks that support law enforcement. Last time I checked, BLM hates law enforcement. Does Topa Topa hate law enforcement? The BLM sign, without context tells me you do. Do research on BLM and you might be surprised.
