This place is really great. Super friendly staff and a fun trivia night with a good, relaxed host is always a great way to spend a Thursday evening. Their Garlic Twists are amazing and best deal in town for quality. Pizza is also really tasty. We tend to get The Spicy Dilemma pizza and devour it. Pitcher prices are very respectable too! I would recommend anyone wanting cheap pizza / beer but at a quality level that is unmatched for the price point. Low key trivia is a big highlight also! The decor has been greatly modernized in the past year if you haven't been back. Feels like a completely different restaurant. A couple weeks ago I saw a sign outside this place for a lunch special: $5.75 (after taxes) for a personal two-topping pizza, salad, and fountain drink. I've been back for the same special four times in the past two weeks. For a place that doesn't seem very busy, the salad is consistently incredibly fresh, with carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, and iceberg lettuce (generous amounts too). The personal pizzas are delicious, although the choices for ingredients are a little limited. The only criticism I have of this place is the blandness of the design. I could replicate their menu on Microsoft Word in a couple of minutes, they have dirty old gumball machines that look like nobody has touched them in years, and the color scheme seems like a failed attempt to be "interesting," with yellow, yellow, yellow, and green tables. I would give them five stars for the food, not because the taste blows my mind, but because it went way beyond my expectations for a place that I stumbled into for a lunch special. Free wi-fi, free air-hockey (have yet to play), flat screen TV's, friendly employees, and reasonable pricing also add to my desire to give this little place five stars. However, it's tough to overlook the aesthetics of this place, and "giving up" a five star rating makes me feel a little too "easy." I'd give it 4.5 if I could. The store needs a lot of work. I always come here for vegan pizza and sometimes bread sticks. The vegan pizzas are a good inexpensive hot pizza choice, my favorite is probably the Tandoori one because it has a good balance of spice and cheese. The vegan bread sticks with pesto are a little bready and flat to me and didn't come with marinara. I would recommend asking for the marinara. I also like that the owners work there and they host events in the building. read more

To be clear, the gluten-free vegan pizza was fantastic. But the service... Ugh. A website that loads poorly so that it's difficult to read is no fun, for starters. Then we sorted out the menu, decided what we wanted, and attempted to order. Problems. Their online menu -- not their homepage, but the actual menu you look at when deciding what to order -- states that they offer gluten-free pizzas in an XL, and it even lists a price. But call and try to order one and they will tell you the largest available is L. So, fine -- we downsized and made the schlep for less food than we had planned. Then they charged us $2 more than they list for that L on their website. And, when asked about these discrepancies during pickup, the manager shrugs us off. That was the worst part: they didn't care. I don't want food from a place where they don't care. What else do they just let slide? It would cost them next to nothing to edit a line of text in their online menu and fix the way part of it is displaying, but they won't do it. The result is inconvenience and irritation for customers who would like a smooth ordering process. Our time is valuable, too. I feel like they know they have us: despite the crappy service and the higher than advertised price, we'll probably be back because they have a specialty item that actually tastes good and we want it. But only probably. In a pinch. And we won't be enthusiastic about them. And if we do recommend them to anyone, it will be with reservations. Going forward, we'll most likely just buy some Venice Bakery crusts (what they say on their website they use) online, keep them in the freezer, and get either the Daiya vegan cheese they use or the awesome equivalent shreds at TJ's. It won't take any more time than driving there, the house will smell terrific, and we won't have to worry about getting a complimentary but very unwanted side order of BS with our food. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect from Red Tomato, since Round Table used to stand in this spot and for the first week, they had the exact same menu. Luckily, they've turned things around. There's not that nasty cheese smell around here that used to be here when Round Table was present. No sir, at Red Tomato instead, they've got lots of fresh ingredients and they don't skimp either! Yeah, slices could be a little bigger, but prices are reasonable. Tried the Summer BBQ Chicken, Farmer's Market, Margheritaand a classic with pepperoni and olives. There were plenty of fresh veggies on the BBQ and the Farmer's Market, but only get these two if you are in love with BBQ and ranch, respectively. Otherwise, you'l get sick of these two after the first slice. The Margherita and classic have a slightly tangy sauce. The roasted garlic is roasted to perfection, but the canned artichokes are something to pass up on. PIzza slices are nice and crispy, and come out in a timely manner. It technically starts at 7:30 pm Thursday night, but you are safe showing up late. The 1$ off pitchers and bad pizza are great to accompany the great trivia. The trivia covers lots of topics as opposed to heavy on pop culture or science that I have often observed. It ends at 9 or 9:30, perfect for a Thursday night. If you want a review completely on the food, here it is. The positives are they have worked to make good vegan pizzas; so if that is your thing than this may be a good place. If you like your pizza to have cheese like a pizza should, go somewhere else. The one thing I can say is they have almost every topping you could want. The roasted garlic is great! read more

This is quite possibly the worst pizza I have ever had. The pizza was 95% cheese. For a place called TOMATO pizza house, there was very little tomato sauce and by that I mean a smattering of sauce, barely visible, and of course very little tomatoes. The sauce itself, from the little that there was had no flavor. The crust tasted like your garden variety pre-made and frozen dough. The toppings did look and taste fresh, but overall flavor was nonexistent. There was way too much cheese on the pizza and it wasn't very good. Overall terrible pizza. I left hungry and feeling like I'd wasted my time. For those who actually thought this place was good: you are out of your mind and have obviously never met a great pizza. Made a quick pick up on a Saturday night and can't complain. Not what I expected at all, good fresh ingredients and good choices. We ordered two personal pizzas off their specialty pizzas, the crust was crispy on the bottom but it wasn't a wimpy slice, thick full of veggies and meats. I personally like a bit more sauce so I think I'll ask for extra next time, doesn't look like it'd be a problem. We also got the bbq chicken wings that were juicy and seasoned, and the garlic cheese twists which looked better than I expected a nice amount of garlic. I was impressed with the selection of beers and pricing for it. Didn't realize till we got there, and since the clean ambiance is so inviting, I think we'll try to come by again and eat there next time with a pitcher. The customer service was great. Came here for my first time today. I ordered the combination pizza + soda combo for $6, plus tax and tip = $7.00. I eat a lot, I wasn't expecting to eat full, but the personal pizza was pretty big, and came with a shit ton of toppings since I ordered combination which is actually just meat lover's + vegetarian. Free wifi is available at a humble speed of 2 Mbps (password is their second phone number ending in 7980), but the speed of the service is very fast. The cashier was a middle-aged man who was very friendly, and answered my questions fully. The pizza was pretty dang good. It's comparable to Pieology, except the crust is very fluffy as opposed to Pieology's very thin crust, sort of like Pizza Hut's personal pan pizza. The interior feel is quite humble, very home-like for sure. Overall, a great place for a quick, inexpensive meal. I've heard bad things about the local Domino's, so I'll be ordering from Red Tomato next time I want a big pizza. read more
