I've been here many times and I've always been super happy. They are fast and friendly and give you a substantial amount of food for your money. Today I tried the fish and chips for the first time. I got the two piece. They really should call them "slabs" because these pieces were HUGE. One piece would be more than enough for most people. The pieces were nice and thick with a crispy/flakey breading. I think it is the same breading used for their onion rings, but I'm not sure. I thought the fish tasted great. The fries are some of my favorite in town. I always enjoy the food and feel like I definitely get my money's worth whenever I go here. They have indoor and outdoor seating and offer you peanuts while you wait for your food (I at about 10 before my food arrived - they are fast!) I've also had the philly here which is also awesome. Never had the burgers but they look fantastic. Just a note: this place used to be called Pepperjacks and now they have posted a sign saying they are changing their name to Red Wagon. read more

I never thought that I'd doing this. However, we just ate at the Red Wagon in Tumwater after being absent for some time. Couldn't have been more disappointed. My husband and I both had their deluxe cheeseburger. When it came, the first thing that I noticed was that the patty was considerably smaller than usual. Then I looked under the bun, only to notice that not only was there not as much bacon, but it wasn't even the same kind. So I took a bite, and the quality of the meat was par at best. I was pulling out pieces of bone, and gristle. All of this only to find out that the restaurant had been sold. Apparently the original owners opened a Red Wagon in Tacoma. So I guess that if I want a good burger again. I'll have to drive to Tacoma. read more

My husband's burger was great, but my chicken burger could use some help... the flavors were fine, but it was 1/2 breast on a bun...very challenging to eat. If they had cut the breast to make thinner it would have been better. I'll try something else when we got there again. read more

I have eaten here several times and always had a good experience, until today. I stopped to buy a hamburger for an elderly friend...a surprise dinner. I order the teriyaki burger meal. When the order was ready the young lady said that the teriyaki chicken burger was ready. I told her I ordered the teriyaki hamburger. She looked at the ticket and in the bag and said "sorry, that is a teriyaki burger". So, I left and headed for my friends home. She was genuinely surprised and excited for the burger until she unwrapped it. It was a teriyaki chicken burger. My friend cannot eat chicken and I had already eaten. So my surprise turned into nothing...no meal outside of the fries. $12.25 wasted. Luckily there are other burger places in the area that get the orders correct. read more

My family had a hankering for burgers and after reading the glowing reviews we headed here on a Friday night. It was packed so we thought it must be good. Sadly, it was just okay. My husband and son ordered the Philly cheese steak with fries. Of the things we ordered, this was the best but my husband said he thought the Philly cheese steaks at the mall are better. I did like their fries. Pretty tasty. I ordered the salmon burger and it tasted like a Costco salmon patty slapped on a bun with some veggies and sauce. It wasn't horrible, just not great. The worst was my youngest son's cheeseburger. The patty was thin and hung over the bun a bit and was all burnt around the edges. The edges were actually hard...almost inedible. He refused to eat it so I tasted it and soon knew why. Hard like a hockey puck. Not the succulent burger we dreamed of. Maybe it was because they were packed and just couldn't keep up with the constant orders, but I don't think we'll be coming back. read more

We thought it was a little pricey at first, but once our food got to us (in a quick amount of time I should add) it was clear that without even tasting it that the price was definitely worth it! I was thoroughly impressed with the variety of offerings on the menu as well as the delicious food. I tried the original Philly Cheesesteak and the hand-breaded onion rings. I was definitely impressed with the flavor of the Cheesesteak. The bun was warm and soft. The sandwich was well worth the cost, as it was stuffed with fantastic meat and cheese that was oozing out the side. The handmade onion rings were also tasty, probably among the best I've had. The staff was friendly and approachable. The only drawback is the size of the dining room. There isn't an overwhelming amount of space inside the restaurant, but the food definitely makes up for it. read more

The service was really good and they were kind, respectful, and attentive while we were ordering, the food was really good for a quick sit down road trip meal, and the milkshakes taste just like frozen yogurt. They have a wide variety of stuff on the menu although it is a burger and cheesesteak joint, they offered up fish and chips, smoothies, and even coffee. We had the california burger and the burger with an egg on it, with fries and onion rings. The california burger was very bland, there was absolutely no seasoning or salt on the meat. had it been seasoned properly it would have been, well, ok. The egg burger (not sure what they call it) again, no seasoning or salt on the meat, first bite sent runny egg yolk all over the place. I guess that combined with no salt or seasoning made it pretty gross. The fries which are advertised as crispy were just regular foodservice coated fries. Ok, I guess but a handcut authentic fry would have been way better. The rings were crunchy which was nice, but basically flavorless. Then there's the bathroom. If you've ever smelled the mushroom farm in Lacey, then you would be familiar in this bathroom. I did see someone's shrimp basket come out that looked pretty good but based on the first experience, we will definitely not be going back to try anything else. read more
