She felt so bad asking if she could have something different and she was very nice about it. He acted like he grew the grapes and made the wine himself. We wanted to try this place after seeing it on Yelp but they don't have anything but bar height seating inside. They do have lower tables outside but the weather was not good for that today. So we walked in and then walked out. The parking is really strange with just a few spots near the location, a lot of nasty signs from the neighbors about not parking in their spots, and a second small parking lot down the alley. Not a place for anyone with a disability. Other than that, was hopping and the other customers seems to be having a great time. We ended up going somewhere else. read more

We have only been to the Red Wheel twice. First time the service was good and the food was great. I had the bbq chicken quesadilla and loved it. The second time they weren't that busy yet. It was 4:30. Every table was filthy. We chose a table got napkins, wiped it down, then I took a wet wipe from my purse, wiped the table and the napkin dispenser (which was coated with dried food). Looked for an employee for service. Saw a few employees, still no service, said excuse me to one who walked past us. He just ignored us. Waited a few more minutes and decided to leave. Found employees outside talking with customers. Not once did they acknowledge we were even there. NO THANK YOU. read more

I have gone to Red Wheel multiple times and have always had a good experience. I want to start this off by saying that the food and drinks were good and our server was great. My problem was the other bartender/server, Patty. She created a very awkward and awful environment to what should have been a calm and relaxing Sunday before starting the work week. She got our attention when a girl came up to the bar and tried to pay the bill for her and her date. Instead of taking the form of payment, Patty proceeded to yell across the restaurant at the girl's date that he needed to come pay the tab -- not the girl. Both of the 2 customers looked embarrassed and confused and Patty told the guy, that his date's card was declined and that he needed to pay for the tab. She called the guy "cheap" and then told him that the girl was too "f**king hot" to be paying and that he needed to take care of her. To top off what was a completely unnecessary embarrassment of two patrons, Patty had, what was clearly a large group of her friends, that joined in on the bullying of these two people. They were ridiculing the guy for not paying in the first place and the couple walked out looking ridiculously embarrassed and uncomfortable. Whatever semblance of a nice date night these two were having was ruined by Patty and her drunk, bullying friends. To top it off, Patty actually looked drunk herself. The restaurant was full and she was taking care of 1 guy at the bar (who was having a very in depth talk with Patty in which she started crying emotionally -- these 2 were strangers. I literally heard her tell him, "and you don't even know me") and her obnoxious group of friends. What was supposed to be a nice dinner out for my husband and me ended with us skipping out before dinner because we were mad at the spectacle that we witnessed, and we went to another restaurant instead where the wait staff are professional and aren't cussing loudly at their friends or flipping them off. We won't be back, unfortunately. I didn't catch our server's name but she was really nice and hardworking. Let us know when Patty is no longer there. Maybe then we will give it another go. read more

We have ordered to go 3 times. Each time ordering the exact same thing. The first time one of our burgers was wrong (we ordered a blue cheese burger and a bacon burger came). The second time both burgers were as ordered. The third time both burgers were missing their sauces. I guess 50% of the time our burgers were correct. read more

Just decided on the way home from work one and couldn't be more impressed! Opening anything in this environment is difficult, but a restaurant!? No worries for anyone reading this, the staff was following all guide and the place was spotless! Sat down and was promptly greeted by Rebeckah. I'd never been there before so so I had a few questions about the menu she walked me through the whole thing and directed me to the smash burgers. They did not disappoint! And great beers on tap!
